Abstract

Ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi terus berkembang dengan pesat, hal ini ditandai dengan pembaruan ilmu-ilmu sains. Kimia Organik merupakan salah satu mata kuliah sains yang kurang disenangi dan dipandang sulit oleh mahasiswa karena bersifat tidak berwujud. Tantangan pembelajaran mata kuliah kimia organik yaitu meningkatkan literasi saintifik mahasiswa. Rendahnya literasi saintifik mahasiswa di Indonesia disebabkan oleh proses belajar mengajar yang masih berorientasi pada penguasaan konsep sains melalui proses presentasi dan diskusi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis respons mahasiswa terhadap penerapan pembelajaran kimia organik dengan cara diskusi dan berargumentasi tentang isu-isu sosiosainstifik untuk meningkatkan literasi sains mahasiswa tadris IPA. Penelitian dilakukan di jurusan Tadris IPA B IAIN Kudus angkatan 2017 yang melibatkan 36 mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode deskriptif. Pendekatan yang digunakan ialah pendekatan kualitatif. Pengambilan data melalui analisis sesuai kebutuhan, observasi dan wawancara. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa 85% mahasiswa pendidikan IPA setuju bahwa pembelajaran berkonteks isu sosiosainstifik pembelajaran yang menarik. 75% setuju bahwa pembelajaran kimia organik berkonteks isu sosiosainstifik dapat mempermudah pemahaman isi materi. 90% setuju bahwa pembelajaran berkonteks isu sosiosainstifik meningkatkan literasi ilmiah. Pembelajaran mata kuliah kimia organik melalui diskusi dan argumentasi terkait isu-isu sosiosainstifik dapat meningkatkan literasi sainstifik mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain dan menghasilkan media pembelajaran sederhana mata pelajaran IPA menggunakan  alat dan bahan dari lingkungan sekitar, serta meningkatkan motivasi siswa MTs Muwahidun. Metode pengumpulan data pada penilitian ini ada empat, yaitu: 1) studi pustaka, 2) observasi, 3) wawancara, dan 4) angket. Model 4D digunakan dalam pengembangan penelitian ini yang terdiri atas tahapan: 1) Difine, 2) Design, 3) Develop, 4) Disseminate. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu: 1) media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran dan 2) dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran, motivasi siswa meningkat. Hal ini didasarkan dari 1) media pembelajaran dinyatakan layak oleh ahli, 2)ketersediaan alat dan bahan dalam  pembuatan media pembelajaran sangat memadai, 3)  media pembelajaran yang dibuat bersifat konkret sesuai dengan umur siswa MTs dan sesuai dengan KI-KD pada kurikulum 2013, dan 4) media pembelajaran menarik dan mudah dipahami.

Abstract

Literasi sains dapat membantu kita dalam membentuk pola pikir, perilaku, dan karakter untuk dapat peduli dan bertanggung jawab terhadap diri sendiri, masyarakat, dan lingkungan, serta permasalahan-permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perspektif calon guru PIAUD tentang pentingnya memperkenalkan literasi sains kepada peserta didik di usia dini. Pemahaman tentang membelajarkan literasi sains di kelas PIAUD masih belum optimal. Hal ini ditunjukkan pada peringkat PISA Indonesia yang menunjukkan nilai yang rendah jika dibandingkan dengan negara peserta yang lain. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini ialah mahasiswa PIAUD IAIN Kudus semester 4. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa calon guru PIAUD sebesar 75.89% memahami definisi literasi sains, 61.61% mengetahui cara membelajarkan sains, 60.71% mengetahui cara melakukan penilaian berbasis literasi sains, dan 94,64% memahami pentingnya penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran literasi sains. Dengan hasil tersebut dapat dikatakan bahwa calon guru PIAUD telah memahami pentingnya memperkenalkan literasi sains kepada peserta didik. Namun mereka kurang memahami tentang bagaimana membelajarkan dan juga menilai literasi sains peserta didik.

Abstract

Basic Physics Practicum is a course taken by the pre-service science teacher of Tarbiyah Faculty of IAIN Kudus. Pre-service science teachers are required to carry out scientific work in the practicum. Scientific work includes scientific attitudes, scientific communication, and scientific process skills. The problem in this research is how the level of scientific work of pre-service science teachers who have different fields of study background in high school. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of scientific work of pre-service science teachers who have different fields of study background in high school. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method in which research data are obtained through instruments in the form of questionnaire sheets and observation sheets. Based on the results of the study note that the ability to work scientifically which includes scientific attitudes, scientific communication, and scientific process skills possessed by a pre-service science teacherwith non-natural science backgrounds is lower than with the natural science ones. These results provide input to the lecturer team to revise the practicum draft that has been prepared so that it is more effective in improving the scientific workability, especially for pre-service science teachers with non-natural backgrounds.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of Islamic values in basic physics subject using the pre-rules method. The subjects of the study are Pre-Service Biology Teachers (PBT) who attended basic physics lectures amount 51 students. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, questionnaire, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out by descriptive analysis. The process of implementing Islamic values is carried out in three stages, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. The planning stage is carried out by developing an integrated Lesson Plan by adding points of unity of sense. At the implementation stage, it is done by instilling divine values in prayer activities and linking the material with verses of the Al-Qur'an. In addition, human values such as discipline and responsibility are also applied. While the evaluation stage through the provision of integrated questions. The response of PBT to this implementation shows that this integration is able to increase gratitude to God and make basic physics subject more interesting.

Abstract

Science edutainment study trend is increasing every year. Science edutainment makes learning more interesting and interactive for student. The increasing number of science edutainment studies requires efforts to understand the patterns, novelties, research trends, and the potential areas of research in the future. This research was conducted on December 23, 2022. This study aims to analyze research trends, document types, document sources, most productive researchers, most used languages on documents, most contributing countries and affiliations, and also a visualization map of research trends over the past ten years. This bibliometric research and literature review uses metadata from Scopus database and mapping visualization of bibliometric by VOSviewer programs. Bibliometric results show that research trends of science edutainment tend to increase over the last ten years from 2013 to 2022. The most widely available document types are article types and document sources are available in journal types. The region that produces the most documents is the United States while Indonesia is one of the regions producing science edutainment documents in eighth. The affiliation institution that produces the most documents is Universiti Utara Malaysia. While the top prolific author is Naoyuki Kubota from Department of Mechanical Systems Engineering, Tokyo Metropolitan University, Tokyo, Japan. There are six clusters by the visualization of VOSviewer software focus on keyword that are students, social media, virtual reality, internet, effectiveness, and digital tools. Meanwhile, the opportunity and potential for future researchers to conduct science edutainment research are keywords that are few found, such as physics, ICT (Information, Communication, Technology), and learning models.

Abstract

Tafsir Nusantara in the Science Field: A Bibliometric Analysis in 2011-2022 Using Scopus Database. The study of tafsir nusantara is a cultural product that was born from the dialectical process between the mufassir and the cultural reality. This research aims to analyze the study of tafsir nusantara in the science field using bibliometric techniques from 2011-2022. This research was conducted on August 25, 2022. The data obtained were 16 documents taken from the Scopus database with the keyword "tafsir nusantara in the science field". The data was mapped using VOSviewer software. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that research of tafsir nusantara in the science field is still limited. According to Scopus data, research on tafsir nusantara in the science field has only been around since 2011. The dominant language used is English with 14 documents, Arabic for 1 document, and Malay for 1 document. The most dominant countries that contributed articles were Indonesia with 6 documents, Malaysia with 5 documents, and other countries with only 1 document. Based on the Vosviewer visualization, all research resulted in four clusters. The first cluster is related to research, qualitative methodology, and data analysis. The second cluster is related to Indonesia, traditions, and religion. The third cluster relates to the influence of Islam, history, and the Qur'an. The fourth cluster deals with Malaysia, curriculum, and students. Thus, this research is targeted to find out the development of tafsir nusantara research in the science field and to assist future research.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the process of making bamboo violins and science learning materials at the junior high school/Islamic junior high school level, and to find out the teacher's response to the suitability of learning resources based on local potential in the process of making bamboo violins. The abundant local potential of bamboo in Japan Village, Kudus, is utilized by a craftsman named Mr. Ngatmin as the main raw material in making bamboo violins. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, documentation, and science teacher questionnaires. The results show that all stages of making a bamboo violin from material selection, cutting, drying, processing the violin body, assembly, polishing, to finishing can be linked to science materials, such as plant classification, force and effort, heat, adhesion and cohesion, pressure, physical and chemical changes, and the concept of sound and vibration. The responses of science teachers indicate that the teaching materials based on local potential are considered suitable and interesting to use in learning because they are contextual, relevant to everyday life, and can improve students' understanding and creativity. Abstract

The low problem-solving ability of students in science learning is a major problem in facing the challenges of the 21st century. This study aims to analyze the implementation of SSI-based science learning and its impact on students' problem-solving skills, as well as to assess the effectiveness of SSI-based science learning on students' problem-solving skills. The method used is a Quasi-Experimental design by applying a Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Group Design. Sampling techniques were conducted through random sampling, resulting in class VIII B as the experimental class and VIII A as the control class. The research instruments consisted of observation sheets and 25 multiple-choice questions that measure indicators of problem-solving skills. The results show that SSI-based science learning can be implemented very well and has a significant effect on problem-solving skills, with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000. In addition, SSI-based science learning also shows a fairly effective category compared to the control class, as evidenced by the results of the N-Gain test analysis reaching 65.32%. Thus, SSI-based science learning is proven to be quite effective in improving student problem solving skills on additive materials, and can be used as a contextual and relevant learning alternative in shaping students to think critically about scientific issues in the surrounding environment.
