Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the potential of local traders' economic growth in Manokwari Regency, West Papua based on the type of product sold and the profit to cost ratio. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The research sample consisted of 74 respondents taken randomly using a simple random sampling method at the traditional markets of Sanggeng Market and West Market. Data were processed using SPSS with descriptive statistical methods-frequency. Results showed that the most products sold in traditional markets in Manokwari Regency were tubers and fruits by 28.4%, followed by sea/livestock products and mixed products by 24.3%, and vegetables by 23%. The lowest profit to cost ratio was 0.9 and the highest was 60. The average profit to cost ratio was 7.52 which means that traders in Papua should have been at a better welfare level. Likewise, local businesses should have been grown better. Increasing local trader welfare is also increasing the level of local economic growth. However, many traders can only earn income to fulfill their daily needs. Therefore, they should improve their business skills and knowledge by following some business training and assistance programs.

Abstract

Bidikmisi is a scholarship program which held by the government in order to give contributions for freshmen in the university level with academic potencies and those who come from underprivileged economic background. This research was conducted on the students which are the receivers of Bidikmisi Scholarship batch 2016-2019. The purpose of this research is to undertand the socioeconomic status of the families, the acceptance system, and the usage of the scholarship by the receivers of Bidikmisi Scholarship Program.This research is a quantitative-descriptive research with 3.915 receivers of the scholarship as the population. The research method which used is the proportional stratified random sampling. It involved 98 respondents from 11 faculties as the samples in the statistical-descriptive analysis.The result of this research, in term of socioeconomic status, shows that the average income of the families of Bidikmisi Scolarship receivers is in the amount of Rp 2.050.000 -Rp 4.000.000. Due to the acceptance system of the scholarship, the fund from Bidikmisi is normally accepted by the receivers in the middle of the semester. The highest usage of the scholarship is in the additional needs which reach the number of Rp 1.384.007. It is compared to the academic needs which is Rp 364.213, and personal needs which is around Rp 215.899. Based on these results the university is hoped to put more attention on the students with underprivileged economic background and also consider to put the acceptance date of the scholarship at the beginning of the semester to maximize the utilization of the scolarship based on the purpose of Bidikmisi.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of work placement and work experience on employee productivity, both partially and simultaneously. The research employs a quantitative analysis approach. A total of 38 samples were included in this study, and non-probability sampling was utilized for data collection. The primary data were gathered through a questionnaire, while secondary data were obtained from relevant journals and books. The method employed for data analysis is multiple linear regression, conducted using SPSS statistical software. The analysis results indicate that both work placement and work experience have a partial effect on employee productivity. Additionally, the ANOVA test results show that work placement and work experience simultaneously influence employee productivity at the BPJS Health Office in Manokwari. Based on the findings, it is recommended that the company prioritize selecting prospective employees who possess a solid understanding of relevant knowledge during the recruitment process.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The study aims to examine and analyze the effect of the promotional mix and price on the decision to stay at the Hotel Aston Niu Manokwari. Primary data were obtained from observation, interview, and questionnaires and secondary data consisted of room rates and number of visitors in August, September and October in Aston Niu Manokwari Hotel. Research using a questionnaire, the analytical method used is Multiple Linier Regression. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. The sampling used is 98 respondents who are costumers who have stayed at Hotel Aston Niu Manokwari. The result of this study indicate that : (1) Promotional mix has no effect on the decision to stay at the Hotel Aston Niu Manokwari; (2) the price partially has a significant effect on the decision to stay at the Hotel Aston Niu Manokwari; (3) The promotional mix and the price together affect the decision to stay at the costumers at Aston Niu Manokwari Hotel. The price variable has the greatest influence on the promotional mix variable. Based on this, the researcher suggests that the hotel can pay attention to promotional items again through sales promotions, personal selling, and direct marketing.

Abstract

Abstrak: Analisa Minat Investasi Pasar Modal Pada Mahasiswa di Universitas Papua. Tujuan penelitian untuk menguji seberapa besar pengaruh pengetahuan dan motivasi investasi terhadap minat investasi di Pasar Modal pada mahasiswa FEB UNIPA. Rancangan penelitian secara kuantitatif dengan jenis masalah deskriptif. Populasi penelitian yaitu mahasiswa peserta sosialisasi Pasar Modal. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 76 mahasiswa melalui rumus slovin dari total 323 mahasiswa yang menjadi populasi, diambil dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode kuesioner. Uji instrumen menggunakan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Teknik analisis data yaitu tabulasi data, analisis statistik deskriptif, dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil analisis menyatakan variabel pengetahuan investasi berpengaruh sebesar 21%, dan motivasi investasi sebesar 58,3%. Variabel independen secara simultan mempengaruhi variabel dependen sebesar 57,2%. Variabel motivasi berperan lebih besar, sehingga Bursa Efek Indonesia perlu memfokuskan pada peningkatan motivasi investasi mahasiswa. Untuk peneliti selanjutnya, sebaiknya menggunakan variabel lain selain dari variabel independen pada penelitian ini.Kata kunci: Pengetahuan, Motivasi, Investasi, Mahasiswa, Papua Barat
