Abstract

Objective:  The number of prisoners in the world is increasing every year and Indonesia ranks fifth in the world. Correctional institutions in Indonesia are largely overloaded from capacity. This is a stressor for the  prisoners. The educational levels of  prisoners very widely, allowing the use of different coping strategies. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the level of education and the Coping Strategy of  prisoners.Methods: The research design used was descriptive correlative study. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling to prisoners in Class II B Brebes Correctional institutions. Two instruments were used, namely the demographic data questionnaire and the Brief COPE questionnaire. Analysis of the frequency distribution for the univariate test and the pearson correlation test for bivariate analysis in order to describe the description of the relationship between education level and the coping strategy of  prisoners.Results: The results showed that the level of education with the dimensions of problem focused coping has a correlation coefficient of 0.226 with a p value = 0.034. The education level variable with emotional focused coping has a correlation coefficient of 0.648 with a p value = 0.000, which means that there is a significant correlation between the  prisoners education level variable with the dimensions of problem focused coping and emotional focused coping.Conclusion: The conclusion of the study is a significant correlation between the level of education and the coping strategy of prisoners.

Abstract

Prevalensi global penderita Diabetes Melitus (DM) terjadi peningkatan angka insiden penderita DM di berbagai penjuru dunia. Ketidakpatuhan menjadi salah satu hambatan dalam pencapaian tujuan pengobatan Diabetes melitus. Ketidakpatuhan yang terjadi diakibatkan oleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam perawatan DM yang masih kurang. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kecakapan merawat kesehatan terutama kaki pada penderita DM secara mandiri. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan pemberdayaan kelompok DM dengan memberikan pendidikan dan pelatihan kepada masyarakat dengan penyakit DM tentang perawatan penyakit DM secara mandiri. Jumlah peserta dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah 24 peserta. Hasil pre-test pengetahuan kelompok khusus DM didapatkan tingkat pengetahuan sedang 41,7% dan rendah 58,3%, sedangkan hasil pada post-test setelah dilakukan kegiatan didapatkan tingkat pengetahuan tinggi 29,2% dan sedang 70,8%. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan ada pengaruh pemberian pendidikan kesehatan dan pelatihan keterampilan dengan nilai. Simpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah memberikan manfaat bagi peningkatan pengetahuan penderita DM sehingga dapat meningkatkan kesehatannya bagi masyarakat penderita DM. Lain daripada itu, tenaga kesehatan terutama perawat agar dapat memberikan pengabdian masyarakat mulai dari preventif dan promotif untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan penderita DM di Desa Proto Kecamatan Kedungwuni Kabupaten Pekalongan.

Abstract

Bullying merupakan tindakan perundungan yang dilakukan oleh seseorang maupun kelompok dengan tujuan untuk menindas atau memperoleh kekuasaan. Bullying di lingkungan sekolah merupakan masalah serius dan berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan mental maupun emosional korban. Peran guru berada di posisi unik untuk mendeteksi tanda-tanda awal bullying. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan peran guru dengan kejadian bullying di lingkungan Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Pekalongan. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskripsi korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh murid Sekolah Dasar kelas IV dan V. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling sehingga didapatkan 145 responden. Alat ukur dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Kuesioner Teachers’ Responses to Bullying Questionnaire (TRBQ) dan kuesioner Bullying. Hasil penelitian menunjukan mayoritas responden mengatakan peran guru tinggi sebanyak 125 (86,2%) dan mayoritas responden pernah melakukan kejadian bullying rendah sebanyak 121 (83,4%). Hasil uji statistic dengan Spearmans rho menunjukan nilai signifikansi (p value = 0,000 dan r = 0, 338) yang artinya Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan hubungan signifikan yang positif antara peran guru dan kejadian bullying. Ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi peran guru dalam menangani bullying, semakin rendah kejadian bullying di sekolah.  Hasil ini memberikan bukti kuat bahwa peran guru memiliki pengaruh penting dalam meminimalkan kejadian bullying di sekolah. It poses a significant threat to the mental and emotional well-being of victims. Teachers play a critical role in identifying bullying incidents within the school environment. As authority figures and role models, they are uniquely positioned to detect early signs of bullying. This research aimed to investigate the relationship between teacher’s role and bullying incidents among students at one Elementary school in Pekalongan Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. A correlational descriptive study using a cross-sectional approach was conducted. The study population included all grade 4 and 5 students, with a total sampling technique employed. Data was collected using the Teachers' Responses to Bullying Questionnaire (TRBQ) and a Bullying questionnaire of the 145 respondents. Most participants (86.2%) reported a high level of teacher’s role related bullying. Additionally, 83.4% of participants reported experiencing low levels of bullying. Statistical analysis using Spearman's rho revealed a significant positive correlation between teacher’s role and bullying incidents (p-value = 0.000, r = 0.338).  This suggests that a higher level of teacher involvement is associated with a lower incidence of bullying in the school. These findings strongly support the crucial influence of teachers in minimizing bullying within the school environment. Keywords: Bullying, Elementary School Students, Teacher’s Role

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa pemeriksaan kesehatan dan penyuluhan mental di Desa Bugangan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran remaja akan pentingnya menjaga kesehatan fisik dan mental. Dalam dua bulan, dilakukan pemeriksaan gula darah, tekanan darah, hemoglobin, indeks massa tubuh (IMT), dan lingkar perut terhadap peserta berusia 10-15 tahun. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta memiliki kadar gula darah dan tekanan darah normal, namun terdapat kasus hipertensi, anemia, dan ketidaknormalan IMT. Penyuluhan kesehatan mental memberikan dampak positif, meningkatkan kesadaran peserta terhadap pentingnya kesehatan mental. Simpulan dari kegiatan ini menekankan perlunya pemantauan kesehatan rutin dan penyuluhan berkelanjutan, serta intervensi gizi dan olahraga untuk mengatasi masalah kesehatan yang teridentifikasi. Kolaborasi antara tenaga kesehatan, sekolah, dan orang tua sangat dianjurkan untuk mendukung perkembangan kesehatan remaja secara holistik. Abstract

Introduction:Preeclampsia remains a significant maternal health challenge, more commonly found in developing countries than in developed ones. In Indonesia, the prevalence of preeclampsia is reported to be 3.3%. This condition is a serious pregnancy complication characterized by elevated blood pressure and the presence of protein in the urine. This study aims to assess the relationship between Spousal support and the incidence of preeclampsia among pregnant women in the working area of Sragi II Public Health Center, Pekalongan Regency. Methods:This research employed a descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. Data collection used a total sampling technique, involving 66 pregnant women in their second and third trimesters. The research instruments included a questionnaire to assess husband support, as well as blood pressure measurements and urine protein tests. Data were analyzed using the Fisher Exact Test. Results:The findings revealed that 51.5% (34 respondents) received good support from their husbands. The majority of participants (98.5% or 65 individuals) did not experience preeclampsia. Based on statistical analysis using the Fisher Exact Test, a significance value of 1.000 was obtained, indicating no association between husband support and the incidence of preeclampsia among pregnant women in the Sragi II Health Center area. Recommendation:This study recommends that nursing professionals implement interventions involving Spousal support in the care of pregnant women, especially those experiencing or at risk of preeclampsia during pregnancy.
