Abstract

The conflict between Tanjung Pauh Mudik and Kumun villages is an issue which continuously acquires a lot of attention of many groups as it causes a lot disadvantage, either death, traumatic experiences, losing homes or properties. After the conflict, the villagers tried to rebuild their life and their village. Rebuilding something destroyed after the traumatic event need positive emotion as a foundation. This research intends to examine more deeply on how these two villagers’ emotions are, especially in an attempt to create harmonization on both villages and their people. Next, to explore the positive consequence of those emotions which impact positively on the villagers in creating peace among them. This research uses the Indigenous psychology approach, with qualitative method through surveys and interviews on the villagers from both villages. The number of the participants ini this research were 86 participants living in Kumun and Tanjung Pauh village. The result of this research shows that the emerged emotions which arise when the villagers would like to create a harmonious relationship are empathy, love of peace, solidarity, the feeling of prosperous and conducive and there is still a feeling of scared. The factors influenced these emotions are the affiliation need, religions, cultures, losing experiences during the conflict, as well as socio-economy. From those results, the researchers concluded that the villagers’ emotions are conditional meaning that when the escalation of the conflict exists people should be able to realize the necessity of love and peace feeling

Abstract

Abstract: Conflicts in Indonesia do not only occur at the regional, ethnic and religious level but also at the village level. One example is the inter-village conflict between Pentagen and Sleman village residents in Kerinci District, Jambi Province. Conflicts between villages have caused huge losses both materially and psychologically. In such catastrophic conditions, residents attempt to be resilient and rebuild their life orientations. This study used qualitative method with phenomenological approach. In-depth interviews with 5 Pentagen villagers who were victims of the conflict were conducted to gather data. Data analysis used interpretative phenomenology analysis. The results of the study revealed the existence of resilience character in Pentagen residents in the forms of emotional regulation, impulse control, optimism, causal analysis, and self-efficacy. The novelty of these findings is the existence of themes related to a sense of kinship and togetherness, prosocial attitude, trauma healing, evacuation, and life orientation. Factors that influence resilience are religiosity, family encouragement, and social support.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pandemi Covid-19 telah menyebabkan kerugian yang sangat besar. Hal ini juga berdampak pada masalah-masalah psikologis yang dialami oleh masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dampak psikologis Covid-19 pada masyarakat Jambi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei terbuka. Analisis dilakukan dengan kategorisasi, axial coding, persentase, dan deskripsi. Responden penelitian sebanyak 564, yang merupakan warga Jambi, terdiri dari masyarakat umum, tenaga medis, dan ibu hamil. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa dampak Covid-19 terhadap kondisi psikologis masyarakat Jambi, diantaranya; cemas, stres, takut, perasaan tertekan, dan panik. Beberapa penyebab masyarakat mengalami stres dan masalah psikologis yaitu tidak bisa beraktivitas, pembelajaran terhambat, banyaknya berita hoax, masalah ekonomi, ibadah terganggu, kebosanan, kasus positif meningkat, takut tertular Covid-19, dan tidak bisa refreshing. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan persepsi terkait isolasi mandiri, kegiatan produktif di rumah, layanan kesehatan mental, tugas Psikolog dalam membantu masyarakat, dan upaya preventif yang dilakukan masyarakat Jambi secara mandiri.Kata Kunci: Dampak psikologis, Covid-19, JambiAbstract: Covid-19 pandemic has caused enormous losses. This also has an impact on the psychological problems. The objective is the psychological impact of Covid-19 on Jambi Society. This research was conducted using an open ended questionnaire, the analysis was done by categorization, axial coding, percentage, and description. The respondents in this study were the people of Jambi Province 564 respondents. This study shows the effects of Covid-19 on people psychologically, specifically anxiety, stress, fear, pressure, and panic. Several things that make the community experience such as psychological problems are incapable of doing daily activities, obstruction of the learning process, the number of hoaxes gets higher, economic problems, interrupted worship activities, boredom, a number of positive Covid-19 cases gets higher, people are also afraid to get contracted by the virus and society is unable to de-stress. Besides this study also revealed the perception such as independent isolation, productive activities at home, mental health services, the task of psychologists in helping the community, and other preventive efforts.Keywords: Psychological impact, Covid-19, Jambi

Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Anak-anak Pulau Pandan sebagai salah satu anggota masyarakat yang memiliki resiko melakukan dalam bidang kesehatan. Masih rendahnya personal hygine serta rendahnya kecakapan keluarga dalam pelaksanaan ruta ber PHBS menjadi permasalahan dalam pencapaian derajat kesehatan bagi anak di lingkungan tersebut. Tujuan: untuk memberikan pengetahuan PHBS kepada anak. Metode :Kegiatan dalam sosialisasi ini menggunakan ceramah, media peraga, permainan/outbond edukasi PHBS, serta pembentukan kader PHBS pada masyarakat. Pelaksanaan Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat: telah dilaksanakanya pemberian informasi mengenai phbs serta penguatan perilaku phbs melalui praktik langsung mengenai phbs pada 30 orang anak-anak. Kesimpulan : Pengabdian masyarakat ini telah berangsung dengan baik melalui praktik langsung dan otubond, namun demikian partisipasi orang tua masih perlu ditingkatkan sebagai pendorong terwujudnya PHBS ruta di lingkungan tersebut. Abstract

The purpose of the research to conduct a external criterion related validity of Health Sciences Component of Indonesian Interest Test. Attitude toward Subject scale as an external criterion with a good psychometric properties. The subjects consisted of new students faculty of medicine and health sciences The University of Jambi N=461. There was a positive relationship with Biology рxy= 0.173 (p=0.001;p<0.05) and Chemistery рxy= 0.148 (p=0.001;p<0.05). There was a negative correlation with Economics рxy= -0.112 (p=0.016; p<0.05), Sociology рxy=-0.161 (p=0.001; p<0.05), Geography рxy=-0.171 (p=0.001; p<0.05). There was no correlation with Religion, Civics, Indonesian, English, Mathematics, Physics and History. IIT was supported with criterion related validity, it had a high power to diagnosis student interest. It could be used for high school majoring, university majoring and learning material. The next research to conduct group validity with university program and personality.

Abstract

Obstacles in visionary function in blind student impacts on limitedlearning process, mainly in literacy activities such as reading, writing, andcounting. In preventing such obstacles, they need adversity quotient forenhancing literacy skill at school. Adversity quotient is very important sothat they could get through the difficulties in the process, not depend ontheir parent and teacher to counter society’s stigma on the issues, likesnormal student. The objective of research is to explore the meaning ofadversity quotient on blind student in improving their literacy.This studyused a qualitative method with phenomenological approach. Four blindstudents who study in Special Needs School of Prof. Sri Soedewi Jambibecame the subject of this study. Data collecting was carried out throughin-depth semi-structured interviews. An interpretative phenomenologicalanalysis was used as the data analysis technique. Study results indicate thatthe adversity quotients of blind students in improving literacy skillsencompass origin and ownership, motivation, perseverance, independence,and control. Factors affecting adversity quotients include parentalencouragement, social support, facilities, and future orientation.Abstrak. Hambatan fungsi penglihatan pada siswa tunanetra berdampakpada keterbatasan dalam proses pembelajaran, terutama pada aktivitasliterasi seperti membaca, menulis, dan berhitung. Dalam mengatasihambatan tersebut mereka membutuhkan kecerdasan daya juang (adversityquotinet) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi di sekolah. Daya juangsangat penting agar mereka mampu mengatasi berbagai kesulitan dalammembaca, tidak bergantung pada orang tua dan guru, serta mengubahstigma masyarakat bahwa mereka tidak mampu belajar di sekolah sepertisiswa normal. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menggali makna adversityquotient pada siswa tunantera dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatanfenomenologi, subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa tunanetra yang menuntutilmu di Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Prof. Sri Soedewi Jambi sebanyakempat orang, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara semistruktursecara mendalam. Teknik analisis data menggunakan interpretativephenomenological analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adversityquotient siswa tunanetra dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi berupamengatasi kesulitan, motivasi, ketekunan, kemandirian, dan kontrol.Adapun faktor yang memengaruhi adversity quetiont yaitu dorongan orangtua, dukungan sosial, fasilitas, dan orientasi masa depan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Clean and healthy behavior is important to be applied in our society. Many diseases is caused by untidy and unhealty habit. Such as diarrhea, dengue fever, contaminated larva, any other diseases. Therefore, wa are in need of outreaching, psycoeducation, and socialiszation for implementating clean and healty behavior, especially for children. Its Purpose is for enhancing knowledge on clean and healty lived implementation. This social event was conducted at RT.06 Tanjung Baru, Seberang Kota Jambi. The steps consist of approach, briefing, events, and third party contribution. Events that had finished are to educate hand washing, teeth brush, and throwing the garbage in it place. This activities work effectively in accordance with our purpose and society’s need. Keywords: Clean and healthy behavior, children, society ABSTRAK Perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat penting untuk diterapkan di tengah masyarakat. Banyak penyakit yang timbul akibat hidup kotor dan tidak sehat. Seperti diare, demam berdarah, kontaminasi larva, dan penyakit lainnya. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan penyuluhan, psikoedukasi, dan sosialisasi untuk penerapan hidup bersih dan sehat, terutama pada anak-anak. Hal ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan penerapan hidup bersih dan sehat. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di di RT. 06 Tanjung Baru, Seberang Kota Jambi. Tahapan kegiatan terdiri dari pendekatan, briefing, kegiatan, dan kontribusi mitra. Adapun kegiatan yang telah terlaksana yaitu edukasi perilaku mencuci tangan, menggosok gigi, dan membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Abstract

ABSTRACT Students of Islamic boarding school (Pesantren) are teenagers in the transition phase from childhood into adulthood, who are vulnerable to conflict and psychological problems. For instance, negative influence from peers, sexual turmoil, juvenile delinquency, school or peer bullying might cause anxiety and social interaction difficult for teenagers. Therefore, it is important that peer counselor training be conducted at Pondok Pesantren Al-Jauharen and Al-As'ad Islamic boarding schools in Jambi Seberang, Jambi City. The implementation method is carried out in several steps, including determining the target area, surveying the target area, collecting data on participants, implementing activities, and evaluating activities. Peer counselor training activities with several sessions. First, brainstorming behaviors that need help. Second, games to increase the enthusiasm of participants. Third, lecturing about peer counseling, techniques in conducting peer counselors, as well as students' understanding in identifying which problems can be handled by students themselves, and which problems must involve professionals. Peer counselor training activities run effectively as planned, participants are very enthusiastic to follow each activity plan, and they are able to understand and apply peer counseling. Key word: Islamic boarding school, peer counselor, training ABSTRAK Para santri merupakan mereka yang menginjak fase remaja, dimana fase ini merupakan fase transisi dari anak-anak ke dewasa. Pada fase ini rentan terjadi permasalahan psikologis, diantaranya remaja mudah terbawa pengaruh negatif, gejolak seksual, kenakalan remaja, tindakan bullyng dari teman-teman mereka dalam satu lingkungan sekolah, yang membuat mereka sulit interaksi sosial dan cemas. Oleh karena itu, pentingnya pelatihan peer counselor yang akan dilakukan di Pondok Pasantren Pondok Pasantren Al-Jauharen dan Al- As’ad yang ada di Jambi Seberang Kota Jambi. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan beberapa tahapan, diantaranya penetapan tempat sasaran, survei daerah sasaran, pendataan peserta, pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Kegiatan pelatihan peer counselor dengan beberapa sesi diantaranya; Pertama, Brainstorming Perilaku yang Membutuhkan Bantuan. Kedua, permainan untuk meningkatkan antusiasme peserta, Ketiga, Pemberi materi tentang Peer counseling, teknik dalam melakukan peer counselor, serta pemahaman santri terhadap identifikasi permasalah yang harus ditangani oleh santri sendiri, serta mana masalah yang harus melibatkan tenaga professional. Kegiatan pelatihan peer counselor berjalan efektif sesuai dengan yang direncakan, peserta sangat antusias untuk mengikuti setiap rencana kegiatan, dan mereka mampu memahami dan menerapkan konseling teman sebaya (peer counselor). Abstract

Berbagai kebutuhan kita saat ini telah difasilitasi oleh internet, seperti kebutuhan mencari informasi, komunikasi, dan hiburan. Tetapi seringkali fasilitas internet digunakan dengan cara yang salah dan menyebabkan masalah terhadap kehidupan manusia. Beberapa individu yang sering beraktivitas di dunia maya memiliki kesulitan dalam berinteraksi sosial dengan orang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan adanya hubungan antara adiksi internet dengan interaksi sosial pada mahasiswa program studi Psikologi Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan (FKIK) Universitas Jambi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Psikologi UNJA. Pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan total 178 mahasiswa. Skala adiksi internet dan interaksi sosial disebarkan secara daring melalui google form. Teknik analisis data menggunakan spearman’s correlation. Hubungan antara adiksi internet dengan interaksi sosial pada mahasiswa program studi Psikologi Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan (FKIK) Universitas Jambi menghasilkan korelasi negatif lemah dengan nilai r sebesar -0.302 dan p value < 0.01. Adiksi internet memiliki hubungan negatif dengan interaksi sosial. Oleh sebab itu mahasiswa disarankan untuk menggunakan internet sesuai tujuan awal dan mengontrol kegiatan internet, khususnya mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Jambi.

Abstract

Building positive teaching is paramount to increasing learning effectiveness, especially for new students. Students face many problems transitioning from high school to the university (e.g., boredom, low motivation, adaptation process, etc.). Self-Development Courses using project-based learning and positive teaching can become the answer to these challenges. This research aims to develop a Self-Development course module based on the positive teaching paradigm. We employed the research and development approach by defining, designing, and developing the course module. We planned the course activities based on the semester’s learning plan (e.g., self-introduction activities and teaching contracts, “who am I,” strengths and weaknesses, teamwork, etc.). We tested the validity of the module using Aiken’s V. Aiken V results ranged from 0.58 to 0.83, meaning that each activity in the proposed module was valid.
