Abstract

Money politics is one of the damaging factors in the life of democracy in Indonesia. This community service aims to provide education in the form of political literacy about the dangers of money politics that often occur during elections. Money politics has a negative impact in Indonesia, including eliminating community sovereignty, distorting democracy, and worsening the quality of democracy itself. Therefore, a joint commitment is needed to fight money politics, especially in villages where money politics often occurs. The method used in this community service is to conduct intense lectures to the Perboto Village Community of Wonosobo Regency about the dangers and impacts of money politics. The findings of the community service show that money politics still often occurs at the existing election levels, both from the presidential election, governor, regent, and even village head elections. Therefore, this socialization activity is beneficial for the Perboto Village Community, Wonosobo Regency in adding insight into the dangers of money politics, which can also impact themselves and not only affect the person who gives. In addition, Indonesia will also face simultaneous elections in 2024, which is a good enough reason to increase socialization about the dangers of money politics in the community. Abstract

Rapid industrial growth can cause environmental pollution if not balanced with good environmentalmanagement. To determine the concentration of heavy metals in polluted water, it is better tomeasure turbidity, pH and temperature as other factors in determining the concentration of heavymetals in water bodies. For this reason, it is necessary to know the relationship between turbidity,pH, temperature and the concentration of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Hg) in river water in Tangerang. The design of this study is a descriptive correlational study, with a total sample of 36 samples ofCirarab, Cimanceuri, Cidurian and Cisadane rivers in kabupaten Tangerang. The sample pointsare on the left, middle and right of the river with measurement times in the morning, afternoon andevening. Examination of Pb and Cd using a Non-flame Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer(Graphite Furnace AAS). While for Hg using a Mercury Analyzer. The working principle of the AASfurnace is the process of breaking molecules into atoms using electricity. The working principle ofthe Hg probe is the process of breaking molecules into atoms using cold steam. The results showedthat the concentrations of Mercury and Cadmium were both below the quality standard with a valueof 10-4 (0.0002 mg/L). Lead concentrations varied mostly below the quality standard (0.03 mg/L).pH, temperature according to environmental conditions and turbidity below the quality standard.(400 NTU) The results of statistical tests with P values of 0.571, 0.440, 0864. It was obtained thatthere was no relationship between turbidity, pH and temperature with the concentration of Lead. The conclusion is that there is no relationship between turbidity, temperature, pH with heavy metalconcentrations expecially Lead in rivers in kabupaten Tangerang.

Abstract

Abstract

Depression usually occurs in the elderly with primary hypertension. In people with hypertension, depression causes a decrease in health status, quality of life and social role function. Hypertension has become a public health problem that has continued to increase in the last 20 years. Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2015, around 1.13 billion people worldwide have hypertension (Pradono, 2020). In Indonesia, there were 63,309,620 cases of hypertension and 427,218 deaths due to hypertension. The prevalence of hypertension in South Sumatra Province is 35.8%, with 1432 cases in 2019 to 3981 cases and 4631 cases in 2020. Data on elderly people with hypertension and depression in 2024 in the Ariodillah Health Center work area is still high, which is around 70% of the total elderly (Puskesmas Ariodillah, 2024). Combination interventions of psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy in individuals, families and groups can help reduce symptoms of depression, especially in the elderly. This is reinforced by research (Tobing & Novianti, 2019) that the intervention group with supportive group therapy experienced a significant decrease in hypertensive stress levels. The solutions to the problems offered in this community service activity are in the form of; Coordination of the implementation of activities including preparation of the place of implementation, time and number of participants who can attend the activity. Preparation of supportive therapy modules, leaflets and blood pressure measuring devices; Implementation; Activities in the form of supportive therapy training are carried out in 4 sessions, namely; The first session, carried out with the aim of exploring the problems of the elderly and identifying the support systems that the elderly have. The second session, the use of the support system identified in session 1 owned by the elderly, monitoring its use and obstacles. In the second session of this supportive therapy, the servant and the elderly discuss the support system that exists within the elderly to solve problems and how to use it. The third session, using the support system that exists outside the elderly. This session identifies the support system that exists outside the elderly and teaches how to use it. The fourth session, evaluates how the elderly use the support system and the obstacles in using the support system. In this session, the elderly are asked to convey all the sources of support they have and convey the obstacles or barriers they face. At the end of the session, the servant evaluates and follows up with the elderly on the internal and external sources of support that they have and have practiced. Termination is the final stage of each session of this activity. The activities carried out are to evaluate by asking the elderly how they feel after gaining knowledge and skills to overcome emotional mental disorders. Based on the target achievements and results of the activities, it can be concluded that after the intervention was given, the results of the activities showed that; a) 39% of the elderly still experienced hypertension with moderate depression and 61% of the elderly were in a normal state (no longer depressed); b) Non-pharmacological therapy (Group Supportive Therapy) is used as routine therapy for the elderly at the Elderly Posyandu in the Ariodillah Health Center working area; c) 100% of the elderly have been educated and accompanied regarding the use of supportive group therapy and are required to apply it as daily therapy at home. The follow-up to this activity is that health cadres will accompany all heads of families in stages to apply supportive group therapy in their respective homes and motivate the elderly to routinely participate in activities at the Elderly Posyandu.

Abstract

Elderly is part of the process of growth and development. The elderly experience physical decline and social changes that cause dependence on independence. Elderly who are used to having activities will be more independent than the elderly who are dependent. With physical changes, the elderly experience decreased hearing and vision, the mentally healthy elderly are the elderly who enjoy daily activities. If these needs can be met, then the fantasy arises to think and try to achieve how these needs can be met, for example food, clothing, shelter and health. The elderly is not to return to their role as breadwinners, but how to prepare them to be able to enjoy the last part of their lives with maximum independence. If the independence of helping oneself without assistance has been achieved, then there are still many areas of activity for the elderly that can still be explored and raised. In this regard, given the importance of the role of the family, the family must be even stronger in carrying out family duties, especially those related to the elderly. Through community service activities by providing counseling on elderly independence exercises, it is hoped that families can care for the elderly so that the elderly become independent and optimal in living life. This activity is aimed at families and the elderly who live in the area of RW 3 , 5 ilir Palembang in collaboration between Poltekkes Kemnekes Palembang Department of Nursing and the related Puskesmas
