Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of active Range of Motion (ROM) training on increasing lower extremity muscle strength and joint range of motion in the elderly. A total of 55 elderly people who live in the work area of a community health center with complaints of activity disruption were respondents to this study. The research design used was pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design. In the first stage, a pre-test is carried out to assess lower extremity muscle strength and joint range of motion before administering the procedure. Next, the Range of Motion (ROM) exercise is given once, followed by a return measurement after the action. The results of measurements before and after administering the action were analyzed using the Paired T test. It was found that there was a significant increase in lower extremity muscle strength and joint range of motion in the elderly after active ROM training. This shows that active ROM training is effective in increasing muscle strength and joint range of motion in the elderly. It can be concluded that active Range of Motion (ROM) training is an effective method and can be integrated into fitness programs for the elderly to improve muscle health and joint function. Regular implementation of this exercise can be a strategy in promoting the health of the elderly and minimizing the risk of decreased physical function due to aging. Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of Indonesia's economic nationalism policy on global cooperation during the COVID-19 pandemic. By implementing policies such as import restrictions, domestic sector incentives, and local product promotion, Indonesia aims to protect the national economy and reduce dependence on foreign products. Although these policies help strengthen the domestic economy, their impact on international trade relations and foreign direct investment (FDI) is quite significant. The decline in FDI in 2020 and tensions with trading partners related to protectionist policies are major challenges for Indonesia's global economic cooperation. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through literature studies and analysis of government policy documents, as well as secondary data from scientific articles and international reports. The results of the study indicate that Indonesia's economic nationalism policy provides short-term benefits for economic stability, but poses risks to international competitiveness and long-term economic cooperation.

Abstract

Depression usually occurs in the elderly with primary hypertension. In people with hypertension, depression causes a decrease in health status, quality of life and social role function. Hypertension has become a public health problem that has continued to increase in the last 20 years. Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2015, around 1.13 billion people worldwide have hypertension (Pradono, 2020). In Indonesia, there were 63,309,620 cases of hypertension and 427,218 deaths due to hypertension. The prevalence of hypertension in South Sumatra Province is 35.8%, with 1432 cases in 2019 to 3981 cases and 4631 cases in 2020. Data on elderly people with hypertension and depression in 2024 in the Ariodillah Health Center work area is still high, which is around 70% of the total elderly (Puskesmas Ariodillah, 2024). Combination interventions of psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy in individuals, families and groups can help reduce symptoms of depression, especially in the elderly. This is reinforced by research (Tobing & Novianti, 2019) that the intervention group with supportive group therapy experienced a significant decrease in hypertensive stress levels. The solutions to the problems offered in this community service activity are in the form of; Coordination of the implementation of activities including preparation of the place of implementation, time and number of participants who can attend the activity. Preparation of supportive therapy modules, leaflets and blood pressure measuring devices; Implementation; Activities in the form of supportive therapy training are carried out in 4 sessions, namely; The first session, carried out with the aim of exploring the problems of the elderly and identifying the support systems that the elderly have. The second session, the use of the support system identified in session 1 owned by the elderly, monitoring its use and obstacles. In the second session of this supportive therapy, the servant and the elderly discuss the support system that exists within the elderly to solve problems and how to use it. The third session, using the support system that exists outside the elderly. This session identifies the support system that exists outside the elderly and teaches how to use it. The fourth session, evaluates how the elderly use the support system and the obstacles in using the support system. In this session, the elderly are asked to convey all the sources of support they have and convey the obstacles or barriers they face. At the end of the session, the servant evaluates and follows up with the elderly on the internal and external sources of support that they have and have practiced. Termination is the final stage of each session of this activity. The activities carried out are to evaluate by asking the elderly how they feel after gaining knowledge and skills to overcome emotional mental disorders. Based on the target achievements and results of the activities, it can be concluded that after the intervention was given, the results of the activities showed that; a) 39% of the elderly still experienced hypertension with moderate depression and 61% of the elderly were in a normal state (no longer depressed); b) Non-pharmacological therapy (Group Supportive Therapy) is used as routine therapy for the elderly at the Elderly Posyandu in the Ariodillah Health Center working area; c) 100% of the elderly have been educated and accompanied regarding the use of supportive group therapy and are required to apply it as daily therapy at home. The follow-up to this activity is that health cadres will accompany all heads of families in stages to apply supportive group therapy in their respective homes and motivate the elderly to routinely participate in activities at the Elderly Posyandu.

Abstract

The conceptual issue of sustainable marketing is still a challenge, although this topic is increasingly discussed in the marketing literature. Terms such as sustainability marketing, sustainable marketing, and green marketing are often used interchangeably, causing confusion among academics and practitioners alike. This research aims to clarify the concept of sustainable marketing through discourse analysis of leading articles while identifying various approaches in its application. The research method used discourse analysis on 166 selected articles from the Scopus database which included the most influential publications. The analysis was carried out by categorizing theoretical and practical perspectives based on the framework of Hopwood et al. (2005). The findings of the study reveal three main approaches: Auxiliary Sustainability Marketing (ASM) which focuses on refining conventional marketing practices, Reformative Sustainability Marketing (RSM) which drives sustainable lifestyle changes, and Transformative Sustainability Marketing (TSM) which demands systemic transformation in social and economic institutions. This research makes an important contribution by presenting a clearer conceptual foundation for the development of sustainable marketing theory. For practitioners, the results of the research can be a guide in choosing an approach that is in accordance with the organization's sustainability goals. Going forward, further research is needed to test the effectiveness of each approach in a variety of different business contexts.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Chronic pain in older adults with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a significant health problem, often leading to impairments in daily activities, anxiety, and a decreased quality of life. This condition necessitates accessible and effective non-pharmacological interventions to address pain in the older adult population. This case study aims to implement and analyze the results of applying Virtual Reality Guided Imagery (SI-VIGUR) therapy as a nursing intervention to reduce chronic pain in older adult patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis at Tresna Werda Nursing Home, Lubuklinggau City in 2025. This case study involved two older adult individuals (Ny. S and Ny. A) suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis with complaints of chronic pain. The SI-VIGUR intervention was implemented for 3 consecutive days for each subject. Evaluation was conducted daily using pain level indicators from SLKI (Standard for Nursing Outcome Indicators, Indonesia) on a 1-5 scale (Increased to Improved), which included Protective Behavior, Pain Complaints, and Restlessness, as well as the Numeric Pain Scale (0-10). The implementation of SI-VIGUR consistently showed significant improvement across all indicators of chronic pain in both subjects. For Ny. S, the pain scale decreased from 6 at the beginning of the intervention to 2 on the third day, accompanied by improvements in Protective Behavior, Pain Complaints, and Restlessness, which showed progress from 'Initial Assessment' values to 'Improved' at the end of the intervention. Ny. A also showed a similar pattern of improvement, with the pain scale decreasing from 6 to 3 on the third day, although it was stagnant on the second day, and SLKI indicators also showed improvement. Both subjects reported increased relaxation and improved sleep quality. The application of Virtual Reality Guided Imagery (SI-VIGUR) is an effective, easily applicable, and highly potent non-pharmacological nursing intervention for reducing chronic pain in older adult patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis. The success of this intervention highlights the role of technology in supporting complementary therapies to improve the quality of life of the older adults. Keywords: Chronic Pain, Older Adults, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Virtual Reality Guided Imagery (SI-VIGUR).
