Abstract

There was a blackout in early August 2019, forcing everyone to think about electricity. Some expressed the need for management reform, use of new renewable energy, and promoting energy-saving behavior. However, energy saving behavior without good knowledge will make it difficult to carry out the behavior. For this reason, the community service team collected data through a questionnaire to determine the energy saving knowledge of lighting for students. Furthermore, there is provision on energy saving lighting and practice in the field to determine the extent to which energy saving is implemented in the study room. This practice is in the form of measuring the light intensity of the study room, to find out its value so that if it is not enough, it is necessary to take action to comply with SNI standards. The presentation of the lighting field briefing contained, among other things, the explanation that saving energy does not mean reducing the use of electric power alone, but rather that saving energy must maintain the quality of lighting. Based on the results of the pre test, students have a high desire to behave energy-saving by 91.3% and have confidence in the results of a behavior and an evaluation of the results of a high behavior is 99.5%. The study room illumination shows a value that is not in accordance with the SNI, which is between 125 Lux to 150 Lux. This value is far from the SNI standard, which is 350 Lux for classrooms. Based on the results of the application of this SNI, then the lighting design is carried out through simulation using the Dialux software and the installation of energy-saving lamps in the study room, so that it reaches the SNI standard.ABSTRAK:Terjadinya pemadaman listrik pada awal Agustus 2019, memaksa semua orang untuk berpikir tentang kelistrikan. Sebagian menyatakan perlunya pembenahan manajemen, perlunya pengelolaan/penggantian sistem, dan usulan penggunaan energi baru terbarukan. Selain itu masih terdapat hal lain, yaitu peningkatan perilaku hemat energi (HE), antara lain berupa peningkatan pengetahuan HE. Namun HE kadang-kadang diartikan lain, yaitu hanya sekedar mematikan lampu, tanpa memperhatikan kualitas visual. Untuk itu tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini melakukan pengambilan data melalui kuisioner untuk mengetahui pengetahuan HE kepada siswa SMA N 23 Jakarta. Selanjutnya dilakukan pembekalan mengenai HE dan praktik di lapangan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pelaksanaan HE yang ada sekolah tersebut. Praktik ini antara lain berupa pengukuran intensitas cahaya ruang belajar, untuk mengetahui nilainya sehingga jika kurang perlu dilakukan tindakan untuk disesuaikan dengan standar SNI. Penyampaian pembekalan bidang pencahayaan, antara lain berisi tentang penjelasan bahwa HE bukan berarti mengurangi penggunaan daya listrik saja, tapi lebih diutamakan bahwa HE harus tetap menjaga kualitas pencahayaan. Berdasarkan hasil pre test, siswa memiliki keinginan tinggi untuk berperilaku hemat energi sebesar 91,3% dan memiliki keyakinan akan hasil dari suatu perilaku dan evaluasi terhadap hasil perilaku yang tinggi sebesar 99,5% Tingkat pencahayaan/Iluminansi ruang belajar menunjukkan nilai yang kurang sesuai dengan SNI, yaitu antara 125 Lux sampai dengan 150 Lux. Nilai ini jauh dari standar SNI, yaitu 350 Lux untuk ruang kelas. Berdasarkan hasil penerapan SNI ini, selanjutnya dilakukan perancangan pencahayaan melalui simulasi dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak Dialux dan pemasangan lampu HE pada ruang belajar tersebut, sedemikian sampai mencapai standar SNI.

Abstract

Currently, more people are using LED luminaires for public street lighting (PJU). The advantages of LED luminaires are that they have a long life and energy efficiency. However, what needs to be considered for PJU LED luminaires is temperature and humidity. Especially for use in tropical climates like Indonesia. High temperatures and humidity will cause degradation to the efficiency and lamp life. This is a challenge for PJU LED luminaire manufacturers, namely that they must ensure that the temperature and humidity are maintained according to the specifications of the PJU LED luminaire. So far, manufacturers have carried out monitoring manually, namely by periodically measuring the temperature using a thermogun when testing PJU LED luminaires. Through this research, a tool was created that can monitor temperature, humidity, current and voltage with internet-based to help LED luminaire manufacturers obtain data quickly and real time. Monitoring can also be done via a handphone that has an Android application. Through this method, PJU LED luminaires can be monitored either before or after they are installed at the desired pole height. The collected data becomes a database that can be displayed in table or graphic form. So, the aim of this research is to produce a database that will be input for manufacturers in evaluating and designing PJU LED luminaire products. The system creation method is in the form of design by integrating temperature, humidity, current and voltage sensors into a system and implementing it. The system will be inserted into the inside of the PJU LED luminaire. After going through testing in the laboratory and field, research results were obtained in the form of a monitoring tool for PJU LED luminaires that has good reliability. Keywords: sensor integration; tropical climate; humidity; PJU LED luminaires; temperature Abstrak Saat ini semakin banyak masyarakat menggunakan luminer LED untuk pencahayaan jalan umum (PJU). Kelebihan luminer LED yaitu memiliki umur pakai yang panjang dan efisiensi energi. Namun yang perlu diperhatikan untuk luminer LED PJU adalah suhu dan kelembapan. Terutama untuk penggunaannya diiklim tropis seperti di Indonesia. Suhu dan kelembapan tinggi akan menyebabkan degradasi terhadap efisiensi dan umur lampu. Hal ini menjadi tantangan bagi pabrikan luminer LED PJU, yaitu harus memastikan bahwa suhu dan kelembapannya terjaga sesuai spesifikasi luminer LED PJU tersebut. Selama ini pabrikan melakukan monitoring secara manual, yaitu dengan pengukuran suhu secara berkala menggunakan alat thermogun saat pengujian luminer LED PJU. Melalui penelitian ini, dibuat alat yang dapat memantau suhu, kelembapan dan juga arus dan tegangan berbasis internet untuk membantu pabrikan luminer LED memperoleh data setiap saat secara cepat. Pemantauan dapat dilakukan juga melalui handphone yang mempunyai aplikasi android. Melalui metoda ini luminer LED PJU dapat dipantau baik pada saat sebelum atau sesudah dipasang pada ketinggian tiang sesuai yang diinginkan.  Data yang terkumpul menjadi basis data yang dapat ditampilkan dalam bentuk tabel ataupun grafik. Jadi tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan basis data yang akan menjadi masukan bagi pabrikan dalam mengevaluasi dan mendesain produk luminer LED PJU. Metoda pembuatan sistem berupa perancangan dengan mengintegrasikan sensor suhu, kelembapan, arus, dan tegangan menjadi suatu sistem dan mengimplementasikannya. Sistem akan di-insert ke bagian dalam dari luminer LED PJU. Setelah melalui pengujian di laboratorium dan lapangan diperoleh hasil penelitian berupa alat monitoring untuk luminer LED PJU yang mempunyai keandalan yang baik.

Abstract

This study aims to design and evaluate the performance of a forex trading robot that implements hedging and averaging methods in the forex market. With the combination of these methods, the robot is expected to generate significant profits while managing risks effectively. Triangular hedging method is utilized to protect capital and reduce risk against market fluctuations, while averaging method is employed to enhance profit potential. This research is expected to provide a better understanding of how the strategies employed can effectively manage risk and increase profitability. The test results show that the forex trading robot implementing hedging and averaging methods managed to achieve a significant increase in profit accumulation, with a growth rate of 175.58% during the testing period, from June 9 to September 20, 2023. Although there was a daily fluctuation of 0.50%, the robot successfully achieved a monthly growth rate of 42.42%. This is also reflected in the increase in account balance from 100 USD to 275.58 USD and a total of 865 pips gained. Despite a drawdown of 61.42%, this did not hinder the robot's performance in consistently generating profits. The application of hedging and averaging methods in forex trading robots can be an effective strategy in optimizing transaction performance in the complex and dynamic forex market. By utilizing this combination of strategies, trading robots have the potential to be utilized by forex market participants in achieving their financial transaction goals. Nevertheless, this research also highlights the importance of continuous monitoring and evaluation of trading robot performance to identify and mitigate potential risks and improve long-term performance consistency. Keywords: averaging; forex; trading robot; triangular hedging Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengevaluasi kinerja robot trading forex yang menerapkan metode hedging dan averaging di pasar forex. Dengan kombinasi metode tersebut, robot diharapkan dapat menghasilkan keuntungan signifikan dengan pengelolaan risiko yang baik. Metode triangular hedging digunakan untuk melindungi modal dan mengurangi risiko terhadap fluktuasi pasar, sedangkan metode averaging dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan potensi profitabilitas. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang bagaimana strategi yang digunakan dapat secara efektif melakukan pengelolaan risiko dan meningkatkan profitabilitas. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa robot trading forex yang menerapkan metode hedging dan averaging mampu mencapai peningkatan signifikan dalam akumulasi keuntungan, dengan pertumbuhan sebesar 175.58% selama periode pengujian, yaitu dari 9 Juni-20 September 2023. Meski pun terdapat fluktuasi harian sebesar 0.50%, namun secara bulanan robot trading berhasil mencapai pertumbuhan sebesar 42.42%. Hal ini juga tercermin dari peningkatan saldo akun dari 100 USD menjadi 275.58 USD serta total pips yang diperoleh adalah sebesar 865 pips. Meski pun drawdown mencapai 61.42%, namun hal ini tidak menghambat kinerja robot trading dalam menghasilkan keuntungan secara konsisten. Aplikasi metode hedging dan averaging pada robot trading forex dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam mengoptimalkan kinerja transaksi di pasar forex yang kompleks dan dinamis. Dengan memanfaatkan kombinasi strategi ini, robot trading memiliki potensi untuk dimanfaatkan oleh para pelaku pasar forex dalam mencapai tujuan transaksi keuangannya. Meski pun demikian, penelitian ini juga menyoroti pentingnya pemantauan dan evaluasi terus-menerus terhadap kinerja robot trading untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengatasi potensi risiko serta meningkatkan konsistensi kinerja dalam jangka panjang.

Abstract

The need to print file is needed by various service users among the academic community and general public. Currently, service users who want to print files need to queue at print service provider. Taking queue number, waiting to be called, inserting flashdisk into the print service provider’s computer will take a long time. If there are many people queuing at certain time, there can be congestion which is not in accordance with government's direction to implement physical distancing. There needs to be a solution that can benefit service users and providers, namely making website and Android application for ordering print services. Website and Android application for ordering print services are designed using CodeIgniter framework and AppsGeyser with user welcome page, registration page, login page, profile page, your order page, order page, cart page and log out page. Website and Android application aims to connect users and print service providers online. Service users can upload files and make payments through accounts or digital wallets. Service users only need to pick up the print at print service provider's place if they received notification to pick up order. Website and Android application for ordering print services successfully facilitate service users in ordering print services and making payments online. It presents the order status and order details containing total price, material, size, and quantity of order well. Availability of various features on website and Android application can be useful to minimize the density of service users at the location and reduce physical contact.

Abstract

: The attendance system is something that is commonly encountered every day by employees or students. A attendance that is neatly arranged certainly makes it easier when carrying out the data collection process. The attendance that is used to minimize abuse is by using a non-contact attendance. This attendance system utilizes one of the technologies from computer vision. Attendance system designed to apply digital image processing technology. Image processing is a method used to process or process from the original image so as to produce another image that suits your needs. The tool is designed to consist of several modules, namely the image acquisition module, processing module, information display module, and storage module. The image acquisition module used is a Logitech C920 webcam; a processing module is a Raspberry Pi 4B; an information display module is a 7-Inch Capacitive Touch Screen LCD, and a storage module is a 64GB SanDisk microSD. The attendance tool matches the facial image with the data that has been entered into the storage system. The algorithm for the face recognition method uses the Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG). Attendance data recording uses CSV format which consists of date, time of entry, time of exit, and subject name. Tests were carried out with several sample cases and tests with five different subjects. Each subject was subjected to a attendance experiment five times with a distance of ± 40 cm. The algorithm can recognize the subject accurately if the subject is facing right in the image acquisition module ABSTRAK: Sistem presensi merupakan hal yang biasa ditemui setiap harinya oleh pegawai ataupun pelajar/mahasiswa. Presensi yang tersusun secara rapi tentunya memudahkan saat dilakukan proses pendataan. Presensi yang digunakan untuk meminimalisir penyalahgunaan yaitu dengan menggunakan presensi non-kontak. Sistem presensi ini memanfaatkan salah satu teknologi dari computer vision. Sistem presensi yang dirancang menerapkan teknologi pengolahan citra digital. Pengolahan citra merupakan metode yang digunakan untuk mengolah ataupun memproses dari gambar asli sehingga menghasilkan gambar lain yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Alat yang dirancang terdiri beberapa modul yaitu modul akuisisi citra, modul pemroses, modul penampil informasi, dan modul penyimpanan. Modul akuisisi citra yang digunakan berupa webcam Logitech C920, modul pemroses berupa Raspberry Pi 4B, modul penampil informasi berupa LCD 7 Inch Capacitive Touch Screen, dan modul penyimpanan berupa microSD SanDisk 64 GB. Alat presensi mencocokkan gambar wajah dengan data yang telah dimasukkan ke dalam sistem penyimpanan. Algoritma untuk metode pengenalan wajah menggunakan Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG). Pencatatan data presensi menggunakan format CSV yang terdiri dari tanggal, waktu masuk, waktu keluar, dan nama subjek.  Pengujian dilakukan dengan beberapa contoh kasus dan pengujian dengan lima subjek berbeda. Masing-masing subjek dilakukan percobaan presensi sebanyak lima kali dengan jarak ± 40 cm . Abstract

Kualitas udara yang baik sangat dibutuhkan saat ini, udara merupakan salah satu kelompok gas yang juga sebagai sumber utama pernapasan makhluk hidup. Saat seseorang berpindah tempat dari satu tempat ke tempat lainnya, orang tersebut akan menghadapi kondisi udara yang berbeda. Manusia yang berada di tempat tersebut terkadang tidak bisa mendeteksi adanya gas-gas berbahaya yang mengganggu kesehatan ataupun keselamatan, karena tidak semua gas tesebut dapat tercium oleh indra penciuman manusia.Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk membuat rancangan alat yang dapat mengukur kualitas udara disuatu tempat dengan menggunakan sensor MQ-135 dan mendektsi sumber panas atau dingin dengan menggunakan Sensor DHT 11. Sensor MQ-135 merupakan sensor gas yang memiliki kepekaan relatif tinggi terhadap gas amonia, bensol, alkohol, CO2, smoke dan gas-gas lainnya. Sedangkan tampilan hasil pengujian akan di tampilkan pada layar OLED 128x64. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan diketahui bahwa alat ini dapat bekerja dengan baik untuk mendeteksi kualitas udara pada setiap tempat, dimana saat dilakukan pengujian pada ruangan udara dalam keadaan baik dengan 51,25℃, namun setelah di dekatkan dengan gas korek api nilai baca sensor menunjukkan 210.50℃ yang tampil pada OLED .

Abstract

Air quality measurement is an important process in monitoring and understanding air pollution levels and their impact on the environment and human health. This article reviews the basic concepts of air quality measurement, the technology used in measurement, the parameters measured, and their significance. Air quality measurements involve taking air samples from designated locations, analyzing the composition of that air, and recording the data. Commonly used technologies in air quality measurements include the use of electronic sensors, chemical-based measuring devices, and remote monitoring with satellites. Parameters that are often measured include particulate concentrations (PM2.5 and PM10), pollutant gas concentrations such as oxygen, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and ozone, as well as other parameters such as air temperature and humidity. Air quality measurement has an important role in maintaining human and environmental health. Data generated from these measurements is used to identify air pollution levels, measure levels of compliance with emissions standards, and develop effective environmental policies. In addition, air quality information is also used to inform the public about potential health risks and provide recommendations to protect themselves. With increasing attention to climate change and public health, measuring air quality is becoming increasingly important. The development of more sophisticated measurement technologies and wider monitoring networks has enabled a better understanding of air pollution and efforts to reduce it. This article illustrates how important air quality measurement is in addressing today's global health and environmental challenges.Keywords: air quality, measurement technology, measurement parameters, public health, policy

Abstract

Face recognition is one of the computer vision technologies that's used in many industries. Face recognition always used in various sector that require the verification of an individual identity. There are many ways that can be used to develop face recognition, one of them is convolutional neural network. Convolutional neural network (CNN) is a deep learning neural network that is created specifically to process and analyze visual data, such as images and videos. CNN have the ability to learn many features from visual data, making them highly effective for tasks like face recognition. There are many factors that can affect CNN performance including the optimizers that are used in the neural network. Optimizers are the algorithm that adjust weights of the neural network to minimize error between the predicted output and actual target. This study used 10 different subjects for face recognition. In this study, the CNN model uses a training algorithm called backpropagation then will compare 3 different types of optimizers. The optimizers that used in this study are Adaptive Momentum (Adam), Root Mean Square Propagation (RMSProp), and Stochastic Gradient Descent (SGD). The results of the comparison will be shown in the form of performance metrics. The performance metrics include correct classification rate (CCR) as well as the confusion matrix of each model. CNN model with SGD optimizers has the highest CCR of 97.07%.

Abstract

In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, technology and information education have become essential aspects of the high school curriculum. Machine Learning (ML), as one of the key technologies, plays a role in developing critical and analytical thinking skills essential for students’ futures. However, Santa Theresia High School faces challenges in teaching ML, including limited resources for practice, teacher competence, and students’ perception of ML as a difficult and abstract subject. This activity was designed as a Community Service initiative to introduce ML to students through interactive and practical methods. The event took place on March 6, 2024, at Santa Theresia High School, beginning with a theoretical session on the fundamentals of ML led by Dr. Joni Fat. Students were introduced to ML applications in everyday life and proceeded with hands-on practice using RapidMiner and Weka software. In this session, students learned to perform simple modeling tasks, such as data classification and clustering, through approaches that resemble real-life situations. The results of the activity showed an improvement in students’ understanding of ML concepts, as evidenced by their ability to complete practical tasks independently and their high interest in this technology. Group discussions at the end of the activity deepened students’ understanding through reflections on their learning experiences, identifying both the potential and challenges of using ML. Based on the evaluation results, this activity successfully increased students' interest and confidence in ML, with 85% of students feeling they understood the basics of ML better and 78% expressing interest in further studying this technology. Other positive impacts included improved collaboration skills through group discussions and simulations. Challenges encountered included infrastructure limitations and the need for further teacher training. The results of this activity are expected to enhance the quality of technology teaching at Santa Theresia High School, preparing students to face technological challenges in the future. ABSTRAK Di era Revolusi Industri 4.0, pendidikan teknologi dan informasi menjadi aspek penting dalam kurikulum Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Machine Learning (ML), sebagai salah satu teknologi utama, berperan dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan analitis yang esensial bagi masa depan siswa. Namun, SMA Santa Theresia menghadapi tantangan dalam pengajaran ML, termasuk keterbatasan sumber daya praktik dan kompetensi guru, serta anggapan siswa bahwa ML adalah materi yang sulit dan abstrak. Kegiatan ini dirancang sebagai upaya Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat untuk memperkenalkan ML kepada siswa dengan metode yang interaktif dan aplikatif. Pelaksanaan kegiatan berlangsung pada 6 Maret 2024 di SMA Santa Theresia, dimulai dengan sesi teoretis tentang dasar-dasar ML yang dipimpin oleh Dr. Joni Fat. Siswa diperkenalkan dengan aplikasi ML dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan dilanjutkan dengan praktik menggunakan perangkat lunak RapidMiner dan Weka. Dalam sesi ini, siswa belajar melakukan pemodelan sederhana, seperti klasifikasi dan pengelompokan data, melalui pendekatan yang mendekati situasi sehari-hari. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep ML, terbukti dari kemampuan siswa menyelesaikan tugas praktis secara mandiri serta tingginya minat mereka terhadap teknologi ini. Diskusi kelompok pada akhir kegiatan memperdalam pemahaman siswa melalui refleksi pengalaman belajar, mengidentifikasi potensi serta tantangan dalam penggunaan ML. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan minat dan kepercayaan diri siswa terhadap ML, dengan 85% siswa merasa lebih memahami dasar-dasar ML dan 78% tertarik untuk mempelajari teknologi ini lebih lanjut. Dampak positif lainnya adalah peningkatan keterampilan kolaborasi melalui diskusi dan simulasi kelompok. Tantangan yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan infrastruktur dan perlunya pelatihan lanjutan bagi guru. Hasil kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran teknologi di SMA Santa Theresia, mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan teknologi di masa depan.
