Abstract

The increasing level and lifestyle of society accompanied by the modernization of food industry technology has caused people to move away from natural foods and prefer fast food. Fast food is considered very practical, fast and easy to obtain so that it supports the lifestyle of modern society. This study aims to determine the description of food consumption behavior and healthy lifestyles in modern society in Bogor city. The method used was descriptive quantitative approach with data collection through interviews with questionnaires, the number of respondents was 200 people. Related to food consumption behavior, the results showed that most respondents, 62%, often consume fast food because it is practical and easy to obtain, 73.5% consume vegetables and fruit regularly and as many as 67.5% drink 8 glasses of water a day. Regarding a healthy lifestyle, 51% of respondents exercise regularly, 74% cook their own food, 76.5% rarely read labels when buying packaged food products, 54% have sufficient knowledge to distinguish healthy and unhealthy foods, 86% of respondents agree to pay attention to nutritional intake in daily consumption, and 76.5% rarely search for information related to healthy food. Despite exercising regularly and regularly consuming vegetables and fruits, frequent consumption of fast food can cause nutrition and health problems in the future. Self-education related to healthy food accompanied by concrete actions in daily food choices is needed to maintain health and quality of life.

Abstract

Large-scale food processing in Islamic boarding schools has the potential to be carried out unhygienically and can cause disease. So it is important to know the hygiene knowledge of food handlers in Islamic boarding schools. This research aimed to describe the hygiene and sanitation knowledge of food handlers at the Darul Fallah Agricultural Islamic Boarding School. The research was conducted in February 2023 using interview guides, observation guides, field notebooks and cameras. Primary data was obtained through a questionnaire interview with 15 questions. Data analysis was done based on the scoring system and data presentation was done in the form of data tabulation.The Darul Fallah Bogor Islamic Boarding School manages the provision of food independently, including purchasing, cleaning, storing, processing, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and serving. Food is served buffet style, and leftovers are taken home. The interviews showed that three respondents knew about diseases transmitted through food, while one respondent only knew about diarrhea. In conclusion, school hygiene and sanitation knowledge is generally sufficient, with little knowledge of human and food factors. The food handlers at the Darul Fallah Agricultural Islamic Boarding School have sufficient knowledge of hygiene and sanitation, including clean uniforms, clean hair, nails, hands, and the prohibition of smoking. However, they lack knowledge about food and place factors, such as proper serving and storage temperatures as well as kitchen and canteen facilities.

Abstract

The issue of plastic bottle waste in Indonesia remains unresolved as of this writing. This study aimed to find out how students' knowledge, attitudes and behavior change regarding tumbler use after socialization regarding reducing plastic waste in drinking water. A pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest design model was the study design that was employed. This activity uses an intervention or outreach approach to address plastic bottle waste, stress the value of drinking water, and encourage the usage of tumblers. The activity was carried out offline targeting first semester FIKES UIKA students. The sample in this study was 67 respondents using a cluster random sampling technique. The tool used in this study was a questionnaire. A paired T test was used to test the difference of each variable after treatment with socialization. The respondents with good knowledge increased to 82.1% compared to only 71.6% during the pre-test. Abstract

Status gizi merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam mencapai kesehatan yang optimal. Status gizi pada mahasiswa dapat berhubungan dengan durasi tidur yang merupakan kompenen dari kualitas tidur. Mahasiswa memiliki kegiatan padat sehingga dapat berpengaruh pada kualitas tidur. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan kualitas tidur dengan status gizi mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Ibn Khaldun Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional. Jumlah subjek sebesar 53 yang didapatkan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data kualitas tidur menggunakan kuesioner PSQI secara self report dan data status gizi dengan pengukuran IMT. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik chi-square. Sebagian besar subjek memiliki status gizi normal (64%) dan kualitas tidur buruk (86,8%). Hasil uji chi-square menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kualitas tidur dengan status gizi (p >0,05; OR 0,985). Kualitas tidur pada mahasiswa bukan faktor langsung yang mempengaruhi status gizi, namun harus diperhatikan untuk menjaga status gizi tetap normal. Kata kunci: kualitas tidur, status gizi, mahasiswa

Abstract

Pangan halal merupakan konsep yang penting untuk dipenuhi dan dipahami.Kemajuan zaman membuat berbagi macam makanan tanpa label halal masuk denganmudah ke Indonesia. Anak usia sekolah dasar membutuhkan pemahaman mengenaipangan halal dan literasi dalam pemilihan makanan yang sesuai dengan konsep halal.Edukasi adalah salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan. Program Studi Gizi,Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan, Universitas Ibn Khaldun Bogor melakukan pengabdian kepadamasyarakat berupa Edukasi Pangan Halal dan Literasi Halal pada siswa kelas empat (IV)Sekolah Dasar (SD) Bina Insani. Hasil pre-post test menunjukkan peningkatanpengetahuan (p<0,05). Rerata skor saat pre-test 7,24 menjadi 8,45 saat post test. Kegiatanpengabdian kepada masyarakat menggunakan metode edukasi berhasil meningkatkanpengetahuan dan diharapkan dapat menjadi bekal bagi siswa untuk memilih makananhalal.
