Abstract

Education in Indonesia, especially at the elementary school level, requires an innovative approach to improve the quality of learning. Technological advances have undergone major changes and are moving towards digital education. Natural Sciences (IPA) is one of the most important subjects at the elementary school level. Student understanding is often hampered by the limited learning media available. The results of observations with direct observation show that there is no interesting learning media in science learning on the life cycle of living things. Augmented Reality (AR) technology can be a solution to overcome this problem. One AR application that is very suitable for use in elementary school learning is Quiver-3D Coloring. The purpose of this service is to introduce technology, raise learning motivation, and find out students' responses to the use of the Quiver-3D Coloring Augmented Reality media. The instruments used are motivation questionnaire sheets and student response questionnaire sheets. The target of the program is 4th grade students of UPTD SD Negeri Karangtumaritis, with 39 respondents. The results of the activity show that; 1) The implementation of the program "Introduction to Augmented Reality Quiver-3d Coloring Technology in Science Learning on the Life Cycle of Living Things at SDN 1 Karangtumaritis Haurgeulis Indramayu" has generally been carried out well (successfully) in accordance with the planned goals and targets; 2) The description of student motivation after learning with the Augmented Reality Quiver-3D Coloring application media on the life cycle of living things is included in the very high category with a motivation percentage of 85.07%; 3) The description of student responses to "science learning on the life cycle of living things" with the Augmented Reality Quiver-3D Coloring application generally responded well (positively) with a percentage of 95.90%; and 4) The description of student responses to "the use of the Augmented Reality Quiver-3D Coloring application media" in Science Learning on the life cycle of living things, generally responded well (positively) with a percentage of 95.90%.

Abstract

The importance of Science process skills (SPS) in education is that as SPS develops, essential competencies will also improve, including students' scientific attitudes and problem-solving skills. SPS are still rarely assessed because teachers generally measure only cognitive learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry model on students' science process skills through a reflex movement practicum at SMAN 1 Lohbener. This quantitative research uses a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control design. The population of this study consists of XI MIPA, with the sample being class XI MIPA 1 as the experimental group with 16 students and XI MIPA 2 as the control group with 20 students. The instrument used was an essay test sheet on SPS based on five indicators: observing, classifying, predicting, concluding, and communicating (Hastuti & Wiyanto, 2019). The research results showed that the average score for the experimental class was 13,56, while the control class scored 10,95, with a significant level (α) = 0,05, S2gab = 6,48, tcount = 3,06 and t-table = 2,03. Because tcount > table, thus, hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. That means the guided inquiry model affects students' science process skills in the reflex movement practicum at SMAN 1 Lohbener.

Abstract

Conservation Biology is an interdisciplinary science whose purpose is to encourage the development of theory and application in conservation areas. Biawak Island is one of the leading conservation areas in the Indramayu district, therefore conservation biology learning should be done directly on Biawak Island. In practice, studying conservation biology directly on Biawak Island is difficult because of the long distance and expensive access to this place. Based on these problems, a digital encyclopedia of conservation on Biawak Island is needed to solve the problem of needing media that can become a medium for studying conservation in this hard-to-reach area. The method in this research is quantitative, and the research design is development research using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), but does not include implementation and evaluation phases. The name given to the encyclopedia is PULBIN PEDIA, which was created using the PHP programming language. The content includes a profile of Biawak Island and conservation on Biawak Island, which contains multimedia narrative text, images, and videos. The digital encyclopedia has a control device that allows users to explore the encyclopedia's contents independently and can be updated at any time by the administrator. The validation expert results show that the PULBIN PEDIA encyclopedia is very valid as a learning medium for students and college students.

Abstract

Bioconservation is an interdisciplinary science whose purpose is to encourage the development of theory and application in conservation areas. Biawak Island is one of the leading conservation areas in the Indramayu district, therefore Bioconservation learning should be done directly on Biawak Island. In practice, studying Bioconservation directly on Biawak Island is difficult because of the long distance and expensive access to this place. Based on these problems, an interactive dynamic web in the form of a digital encyclopedia is a solution for the problem. Digital encyclopedia named “PULBIN PEDIA”. That was implemented in one of the private universities in West Java. The design used is Descriptive Qualitative. A qualitative approach is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observed behavior. This research was conducted on 24 students who were taking the course of Bioconservation in the academic years of 2023/2024.  The results of the analysis from observations found that PULBIN PEDIA is an interactive and dynamic media and can be implemented as an integrated learning resource in Bioconservation lectures because it contains complete and accurate information regarding the location, origin of the name, management, conservation activities, conservation actors and biodiversity on Biawak Island. PULBIN PEDIA also can be implemented as a learning resource in lectures that apply problem-based learning strategies where students can find 3 (three) conservation problems, investigate components that have been conserved, and formulate solutions on how to preserve Biawak Island.

Abstract

The results of a preliminary study at a junior high school in Indramayu Regency, particularly among seventh-grade students, indicate that there are still students who are less interested in studying biology, especially regarding the topic of plant cell structure. Many students struggle to memorize the various organelles of plant cells and their functions, which impacts their academic performance. Therefore, this research aims to examine the effectiveness of using Augmented Reality (AR)-based poster learning media to improve student learning outcomes in plant cell structure. The research method employed is a descriptive case study, utilizing a purposive sampling technique where the sample is determined based on specific considerations. The sample for this study consisted of 33 students from class VII C, selected because their average learning outcome scores were the lowest compared to other classes. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive methods by calculating the N-Gain Score. The research findings indicate that the N-Gain Score reached 0.7, categorized as a high increase. Additionally, the effectiveness of the learning media was measured by calculating the average score of student learning outcomes after the implementation of the AR-based poster learning media. The average student learning outcome score was 235, with an effectiveness rate of 89.07%, categorized as very effective. This indicates that the use of AR-based poster learning media can significantly enhance student learning outcomes. The implementation of this learning media not only helps students memorize the organelles of plant cells and their functions but also increases their interest and understanding of biological concepts.

Abstract

The differentiated Project Based Learning model offers an interesting solution. The PJBL model itself is a model that exposes X-2 MAN 1 Indramayu students to relevant learning, which positively influences the development of student's creative thinking, allowing students to actively explore knowledge, ask questions, find problems, design, and implement projects. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of X-2 MAN 1 Indramayu students by applying the differentiated PJBL learning model. Using a quantitative percentage method. The subjects in this study were 26 students of class X-2 MAN 1 Indramayu in the 2024/2025 academic year. Based on the study's results, the differentiated PJBL learning model was successfully applied to see student learning outcomes. As many as 55.6% of students got high learning outcomes, 30.8% of students were in the middle, and 13,6% of students were in the middle criteria. Overall, it can be concluded that the average student learning outcomes achieve high criteria in the visual learning style (45.6%), meaning that student learning outcomes are considered good after learning using the differentiated PJBL model.
