Abstract

The purpose of this case study is to determine the effect of diaphragmatic breathing and endurance exercise in hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP). Nosocomial pneumonia that occurs in 48 hours or more after the patient admitted to the hospital, without any signs of pulmonary infection. The existence of clinical manifestations that appear, patients with HAP tend to avoid physical activity which can decrease the functional capacity of the respiratory system and have an impact on decreasing endurance. Diaphragmatic breathing exercise is thought to be able to help reduce shortness of breath, reduce the work of the accessory muscles of breathing, improve breathing frequency and also improve breathing patterns. Endurance training aims to increase the stimulation of the cardiorespiratory system response so that oxygen transportation becomes more efficient and the patient is able to carry out optimal activities. Evidence-based case report is the method of this research, with a clinical question "Does diaphragmatic breathing exercise and endurance exercise have a better effect on increasing endurance in hospital-acquired pneumonia?" To be able to answer this question, a case study was conducted by applying diaphragmatic exercise and endurance exercise, then to support the evidence from the results of the opener exercise, evidence was searched in 2 databases, namely Scopus and Science Direct. The keywords used were “diaphragmatic breathing exercise” OR “deep breathing exercise” AND “reduce dyspnea” and “endurance exercise” AND “cardiorespiratory endurance” AND “metabolic equivalents” with the inclusion criteria of full text articles and publications in 2015-2020. The search found 7 articles that met the inclusion criteria. Then the search stage was continued by reading the entire article and found 3 articles on Scopus and 1 article on Science Direct

Abstract

Low back pain is the most common symptom experienced by people of all ages. However, low back pain myogenic can cause pain, spasms, muscle weakness, limited range of motion (ROM), and muscle imbalances, resulting in decreased core and lower back muscles, and limited mobility of the lumbar spine, causing a decrease in ability functional. In Indonesia, the prevalence of people affected by myogenic LBP has increased, almost 75% of them are related to work. From the search results with various databases, 75 articles were found which were then filtered and 21 articles were selected. But of the 21 articles, there will be more. The final result after selection is 5 articles. Knowing the effectiveness of providing lumbar stabilization exercise to improve functional ability in myogenic low back pain case by knowing the dose and method given. There is an increase in functional ability in patients with low back pain myogenic by offering lumbar stabilization exercise at a dose given for 6 weeks, 3 sessions/week, 8 repetitions with duration of 30-60 minutes/session. Providing lumbar stabilization exercise can be an intervention solution to improve functional ability of you pas attention to several things

Abstract

Stroke is a rapidly developing loss of brain function due to interruption of the blood supply to the brain. This can be caused by a blockage or bleeding in the blood vessels in the brain. The purpose of this study is to find out and understand how the effectiveness of balance and core exercise is to improve static balance in cases of left hemiparese stroke at Karmel Stroke Services. Of the various physiotherapy methods that can be done to overcome problems that can arise such as muscle weakness, balance disorders, posture disorders, and Activity Daily Living (ADL) disturbances in cases of left hemiparese stroke, in writing this final paper, the author chooses to use Balance and Core. Exercise. The writing method used in this case is an evidence-based case report with clinical questions. "How is the effectiveness of balance and core exercise to improve static balance with functional reach test parameters in cases of hemiparese sinistra et causa stroke haemorrhage?" To be able to answer this question, a search for evidence was carried out on 3 databases, namely Pubmed, Science Direct, and the Chocrane Library. The keywords used were "balance exercise OR core exercise AND Stroke" with full text article inclusion criteria, medical diagnosis of stroke, handling with balance exercise and core exercise. In the search, 8 articles were found that met the inclusion criteria. Then the search stage was continued by reading the entire article and 2 articles were found that matched on Pubmed, 0 articles on Science Direct, and 1 article on the Cochrane Library.

Abstract

Therefore the role of physiotherapy is very important in optimizing the motion and function in patients with post op reconstruction Anterior Cruciate Ligament sinistra Grade III due to Rupture. Physiotherapy may begin on the first day after reconstruction, the exercises being performed depending on the phases based on the day after reconstruction of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament rupture are performed.Based on the above explanation, the authors raised cases after reconstruction of Anterior Cruciate Ligament rupture as the final task implementation. The case discussed is the condition of a patient of Post Op Reconstruction Anterior Cruciate Ligament Sinistra Grade III due to Rupture at Central Hospital of Gatot Subroto.

Abstract

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) adalah cedera otak yang menyebabkan kerusakan langsung pada pembuluh darah, akson, neuron, dan glia sehingga dapat menimbulkan beberapa gejala tergantung pada tingkat keparahannya seperti pusing, merasa lelah, bahkan kehilangan kesadaran. Pasien TBI dengan tingkat keparahan sedang sampai berat sering kali memerlukan perawatan di Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Dalam hal ini, penanganan fisioterapi pada pasien TBI di ICU dapat berfokus pada masalah fungsionalnya yang terdiri dari pernapasan, batuk dan retensi sputum, tanda-tanda inflamasi, nyeri, spasme otot, kekuatan otot, penurunan sensori, serta penanganan ataupun pencegahan luka dekubitus dengan program fisioterapi yang didasarkan oleh protokol fisioterapi di ICU sehingga protokol-protokol tersebut perlu dilihat efektivitasnya terhadap penanganan kasus TBI di ICU. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan seputar Program fisioterapi pada pasien di ICU dengan kondisi post craniectomy et causa TBI di RS Hermina Pasteur. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kepustakaan dengan membaca buku, jurnal, dan juga literatur yang berkaitan dengan kasus yang diangkat serta melakukan observasi langsung pada pasien. Parameter yang digunakan meliputi Manual Muscle Testing (MMT), antropometri (lebar edema), kesimetrisan pengembangan dada, skor Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), dan skor Early Funtional Abilities (EFA). Hasil yang didapatkan terjadi peningkatan kekuatan otot dengan nilai MMT 0/5 menjadi 1/5 setelah diberikan stimulasi sensori dan aktivasi otot-otot intrinsik. Lalu lebar edema menunjukkan nilai yang fluktuatif dengan pemberian hand dan ankle pumping karena dipengaruhi oleh kondisi pasien dan pemberian obat-obatan. Kemudian, terjadi peningkatan pengembangan dada lobus upper dextra dari asimetris menjadi simetris. Lalu terjadi peningkatan skor GCS dari skor GCS 4 menjadi 9. Kemudian, terjadi peningkatan skor EFA dari skor EFA 25 menjadi 33. Akan tetapi, terjadi penurunan skor GCS dan EFA dikarenakan kondisi pasien belum stabil dan absen pada hari sabtu dan minggu dalam pemberian intervensi fisioterapi yang karena liburnya poli fisioterapi.

Abstract

Long Covid Syndrome adalah kondisi menetapnya gejala-gejala setelah sembuh dari COVID-19, seperti kelelahan dengan insidensi 17,5%-72%. Kondisi tersebut menyebabkan keterbatasan dalam melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari sehingga dibutuhkan intervensi fisioterapi. Namun, dalam situasi pandemi aktivitas secara virtual dapat menjadi alternatif utama untuk tetap melakukan fisioterapi. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat diterapkan dalam situasi ini adalah Telephysio. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pencarian literatur dengan kata kunci pasien Long Covid Syndrome; Telephysio; Direct Rehabilitation; outcome berupa skala kelelahan melalui Google Schoolar, Pubmed, Proquest, dan Scopus. Dari hasil pencarian dengan berbagai database, kemudian dilakukan assessment critical appraisal terhadap 11 jurnal yang dipublikasi, 4 jurnal tidak sesuai kriteria inklusi dilakukan eksklusi. Kualitas dari studi ini dinilai dengan JBI Critical Appraisal Checklist untuk resiko bias, desain studi, dan kualitas dari evidence yang dilakukan oleh P dan A sebagai reviewer utama. Sintesis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan simplified approach oleh Aveyard, et al menggunakan JBI Data Extraction. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fisibilitas Telephysio dan Direct Rehabilitation dalam penurunan kelelahan pada kasus Long Covid Syndrome serta mengetahui program, metode, dan dosis yang tepat. Dari 7 jurnal yang direview terdapat penurunan skala kelelahan pada pasien Long Covid Syndrome dengan melakukan latihan breathing exercise, aerobic exercise, strengthening exercise, dan stretching dalam masa terapi 2-6 minggu dengan frekuensi 2-3x/minggu dan berdurasi 30-40 menit/hari dengan menggunakan metode berbasis Telephysio dan Direct Rehabilitation. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian Telephysio sama efektifnya dengan pemberian Direct Rehabilitation terhadap penurunan kelelahan pada kasus Long Covid Syndrome dan dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam situasi pandemi saat ini.

Abstract

Background: the pleura effusion is a circumstance characterized by a buildup of fluid in the pleura cavities on the surface of pleura visceral and pleura pariental. Besides the fluid, the pleura effusion also contains pus and blood. Pleura sufferers commonly complain of shortness of breath, pain in the chest wall area, ineffective breathing patterns, posture disorders, a decline in chest expansion that would result in diminished lung capacity. Deep breathing is thought to reduce respiratory work and improve the efficiency of respiratory ventilation. Chest mobility are effective in improving chest mobility, improving respiratory ventilation, controlling inspiration and spiraling. Purpose: to identify the effects of deep breathing and chest excretion to increase lung capacity in the case of the pleura efusi. Method: a single case study conducted with physiotherapy interventions on patients with the diagnosis of a 52-year-old pleura of deep breathing and chest training during the 6 evaluation. The dyspnea assessment is measured with a dyspnea desired scale, a thorax expansion with a midline and a pulmonary capacity of inspiring volume with spirometry incentives. Results: the case study shows that there is a decrease in density, increased thoraks expansion and increased lung capacity at inspiration volume by 500 ml to 800 ml. Conclusion: the study showed that increased lung capacity was given deep breathing and chest mobility.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara Agility terhadap performa atlet taekwondo. Salah satu kondisi fisik yang penting bagi atlet taekwondo adalah kelincahan yang berperan besar terhadap performa atlet. Agility merupakan faktor penting dalam meningkatkan efektivitas serangan, kecepatan reaksi, dan keseimbangan tubuh saat bertanding. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tinjauan literatur sistematis. Pencarian literatur dilakukan melalui database Scopus, Pubmed, Crossref, dan Google Scholar dengan rentang publikasi 2018-2025. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa atlet dengan Agility lebih tinggi memiliki akurasi tendangan yang lebih baik dan mampu menghindari serangan lawan dengan lebih cepat. Program latihan khusus seperti plyometric, ladderdrills, danreactiondrills terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan Agility atlet. Selain itu, Agility juga berpengaruh pada strategi bertanding dan pengambilan keputusan yang lebih cepat dan tepat. Dengan latihan yang tepat dan konsisten, atlet dapat meningkatkan Agility mereka, sehingga memperbesar peluang kemenangan dalam kompetisi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara daya ledak (explosive power) dengan performa teknis atlet taekwondo, serta mengevaluasi efektivitas berbagai metode pelatihan daya ledak melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review(SLR). Artikel yang dikaji diterbitkan dalam jurnal ilmiah terindeks pada periode 2021–2025 dan dipilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditetapkan. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif dan tematik untuk menemukan pola dan perbedaan hasil antarstudi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa metode, seperti velocity-based resistance training (VBRT), contrast training, dan high-intensity interval training (HIIT) berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan daya ledak, kelincahan, dan efektivitas tendangan atlet taekwondo. Efektivitas pelatihan dipengaruhi oleh durasi latihan, pola istirahat, dan karakteristik individu atlet. Namun, beberapa keterbatasan masih ditemukan dalam studi terdahulu, seperti durasi yang singkat, sampel kecil, dan kurangnya kontrol terhadap variabel seperti usia, pengalaman, serta kondisi fisik atlet. Daya ledak memainkan peran penting dalam menunjang performa teknis atlet, dan pelatihan eksplosif dapat menjadi strategi efektif untuk peningkatan performa. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengkaji efek jangka panjang dan menyesuaikan metode pelatihan dengan kebutuhan spesifik atlet.
