Abstract

The low ability of high/vocational school mathematics teachers to develop HOTS assessments is a serious problem that must be immediately found a solution to be able to increase student competitiveness in the 21st century. This study aims to analyze the relationship between divergent thinking and the ability of teachers to develop HOTS assessments, the relationship between digital literacy and teachers' abilities to develop HOTS assessments, and the relationship between divergent thinking and digital literacy with teachers' abilities to develop HOTS assessments. This research is a quantitative non-causal survey method. The research design used a correlational regression model. The study population was high school/vocational high school mathematics teachers in Bali, NTB, and NTT. The sample selection used the cluster random sampling technique. Research data were collected using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression assisted by SPSS 23.0 for Windows. The results show a significant positive relationship between divergent thinking and the ability of teachers to develop HOTS assessments. There is a significant positive relationship between digital literacy and teachers' abilities to develop HOTS assessments. There is a significant positive relationship between divergent thinking and digital literacy and the teacher's ability to develop a HOTS assessment.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the essential subjects for vocational students because it is very dominant in developing science and technology. This study aims to produce vocational-based mathematics teaching materials using smartphones that meet the valid, practical, and effective prerequisites. The progressing model used in the test is ADDIE. The validity of the featured material was surveyed by three materials specialists and three media specialists using an assessment and analyzed using the Gregory arrangement. The results of the assessment obtained that the material displayed meets practical needs. The ease of use perspective was assessed by giving a poll to research researchers using the Client Experience Survey (UEQ) and a survey to students using the Framework Convenience Scale (SUS) test. The assessment results based on the Client Experience Poll (UEQ) obtained a normal value of 89.56 with a good standard. As a consequence of the Ease of Use Framework assessment, it was found that normal 89.44 was recognized and within the range of generally very good. The effectiveness of teaching materials is assessed to provide a trial of learning outcomes to students and dissected based on traditional culmination values. Traditional fulfillment awards earned 95%. The advantages of the teaching materials are photos, test questions, and conversational materials according to practice for vocational students, which students can use for independent and group study, both within and outside the organization. Given these results, it can be very well concluded that the vocational-based mathematics learning materials using smartphones have fulfilled the valid, practical, and effective components to be utilized during learning.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out and analyze the partial determination of leadership style, work motivation, and mindset on teachers’ performance and to know the simultaneous influence of leadership style determination, teachers’ work motivation, and mindset on the performance of elementary school teachers in Marga District. The population was all 320 elementary school teachers in Marga District. For the total sample taken, the researchers used the Slovin technique to obtain 76 teachers using a simple multi-stage random sampling technique. The data collection technique in this research is a questionnaire. In analyzing the research data, the researcher used linear regression analysis and multiple linear regression with the help of the SPSS program. From the research results, the principal's leadership style variable has a significant effect on the performance of elementary school teachers in the Marga District with a sig value of 0.000 <0.05. The teachers’ work motivation variable also has a significant effect on the performance of elementary school teachers in Marga District with a value of sig. = 0.001 <0.05. The principal's leadership style variable also has a significant effect on the performance of elementary school teachers in Marga District with a sig value of 0.000 <0.05. Simultaneously, the three independent variables have a relationship with the dependent variable, namely the performance of elementary school teachers in Marga District, as indicated by a coefficient of determination (R-Square) of 0.650. It means that simultaneously, the magnitude of the coefficient of determination (R-Square) of 0.650 has an effect of 65% on the performance of elementary school teachers.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of a PBL model based on local wisdom can improve science numeracy skills as well as evaluating and reflecting on the implementation of a PBL model based on local wisdom can improve learning activities. This research is classroom action research with research subjects in the VA class students of SDN 1 Dajan Peken Semester 1 of the 2023/2024 academic year and the research objects is science numeracy abilities and students' learning activities. This research was carried out in 2 cycles where each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. Science numeracy ability data was collected using written tests referring to the Minimum Competency Assessment question model, while student learning activities were collected using observation sheets. This classroom action research to be successful and the cycle can be stopped, if it meets the following criteria: (a) the average value of science numeracy, absorption capacity, and percentage of completion respectively is at least 70.00; 70.00% and 85%; (b) minimally active student learning activities. If one or both of the success criteria above are not met, then the action research continues to the next cycle. Research data was analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The research results showed that: (1) in the initial reflection activity, the average science numeracy score was 62.94; absorption capacity 62.94%, and completion percentage 61.76%; (2) in cycle I, the average science numeracy score was 71.76; absorption capacity 71.76% and completion percentage 74.47%; and (3) in cycle II, the average science numeracy score was 77.06; absorption capacity 77.06% and completion percentage 88.24%. Classroom action research has met the success criteria in 2 cycles. Conclusion, the implementation of PBL model based on local wisdom can improve students' science numeracy skills and learning activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI B1 SMAN 7 Denpasar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu: tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap observasi, dan tahap refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI B1 SMAN 7 Denpasar sebanyak 48 siswa. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar peserta didik di kelas XI B1 pada materi lingkaran. Kriteria keberhasilan dalam penelitian ini yaitu rata-rata hasil belajar  dan ketuntasan klasikal telah tercapai apabila target mencapai 85%. Adapun hasil dari penelitain ini adalah terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Matematika dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) pada siswa kelas XI B1 SMAN 7 Denpasar dalam materi Lingkaran. Peningkatan yang pertama terjadi pada presentase ketuntasan klasikal dari 50% pada tes prasiklus menjadi 77% pada Siklus I dan setelah dilakukan pengembangan pada hasil refleksi Siklus I, terjadi peningkatan kembali menjadi 94% pada tes akhir Siklus II. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Matematika dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik di kelas X 7 SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar dengan menerapkan model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe TGT (Teams Games Tournament) Berbantuan Website. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap: tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap observasi, dan tahap refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X 7 SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar sebanyak 41 siswa yang terdiri dari 23 siswa perempuan dan 18 siswa laki-laki. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terjadi peningkatan pada persentase ketuntasan klasikal dari 9,75% pada tes kemampuan awal menjadi 82,80% pada akhir siklus I dan setelah dilakukan refleksi pada proses pembelajaran siklus I dan melakukan perbaikan pada proses pembelajaran siklus II, terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar menjadi 92,70% pada akhir siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe TGT (Teams Games Tournament) Berbantuan Website dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa di kelas X 7 SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine differences in critical thinking skills and mastery of science concepts between students who followed the STEM-based inquiry learning model and students who follow expository learning. The population in this research was 209 students in a total sample of 81 students determined through a random sampling technique. Critical thinking data were collected by tests, while the concept mastery data were collected by multiple-choice tests. Data were analysed using MANOVA. The results of the data analysis showed that the value of F was 26.848 with a significance value of 0.000 which was less than 0.05. Therefore, there are differences in critical thinking skills and mastery of concepts between students who study STEM-based inquiry learning models and students who study expository learning models.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine whether the group student worksheets method was more effective than the individual student worksheets method in solving questions and whether there was an interaction between the method and the level of student confidence in solving HOTS questions among students. This type of research was experimental research by using a 3x2 factorial treatment design. Liliefors' statistics was used to test normality and Levene's test for homogeneity of variance. All these analyses used the SPSS version 22 program. The results showed the group student worksheets method was more effective than conventional and individual methods in solving the HOTS questions. There was an interaction between the method and the level of confidence in solving HOTS questions which was acceptable. The conclusion is that student worksheets in solving HOTS questions can increase the effectiveness of the self-confidence level of  students.

Abstract

Motivasi adalah salah satu aspek psikologis yang dapat mempengaruhi pencapaian akademik siswa khususnya bagi siswa kelas XII yang mulai dihadapkan dengan berbagai persiapan dan pilihan dalam memasuki jenjang pendidikan tinggi ataupun dunia kerja. Situasi ini kerap menimbulkan kecemasan akademik. Pelatihan motivasi berprestasi merupakan suatu program pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan diri, meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi siswa, serta membantu memantapkan tujuan atau target yang ingin dicapai. Pelatihan dilakukan pada siswa kelas XII SMA N 1 Abiansemal. Tahapan kegiatan pelatihan motivasi berprestasi meliputi tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap refleksi. Pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan 3 metode, yakni penyuluhan, brainstorming, dan game. Pelatihan ini mendapat respon positif dari siswa berdasarkan hasil refleksi yang dilakukan, serta dapat memberikan dampak positif dalam memantapkan tujuan dan target yang dimiliki.Peningkatan kondisi motivasi berprestasi diperoleh dari hasil analisis angket motivasi yang diberikan kepada siswa. Jika dibandingkan dengan data observasi dimana terdapat siswa yang memiliki tingkat motivasi dibawah skala 5, maka setelah pelatihan rata-rata tingkat motivasi siswa berada pada skala 8 dan tidak ada yang berada dibawah skala 5.

Abstract

This pioneering research endeavors to delve into the competencies of special education teachers in Indonesia concerning the development of literacy and numeracy assessments rooted in local wisdom, while simultaneously exploring the fundamental concepts of evaluation and teacher responsibilities. Employing a mixed-method explanatory design, the study represents a novel approach to understanding the intricate interplay between pedagogical practices and cultural contexts. Drawing upon a diverse research population comprising special education teachers across Indonesia, the quantitative component of the study employs a rigorous proportional random sampling method, culminating in a robust sample size of 457 participants. Meanwhile, the qualitative inquiry adopts purposive and snowball sampling techniques to ensure a comprehensive exploration of teachers' perspectives and experiences. Research data, spanning questionnaires, interviews, observations, and document analyses, are meticulously collected and analyzed using innovative methodological frameworks such as Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for quantitative data, and data reduction, display, and conclusion for qualitative data. Findings underscore the nuanced variations in teachers' competencies across different regions, with Bali emphasizing the basic concept of evaluation, NTB Province prioritizing teacher responsibility, and NTT Province echoing similar sentiments. This research not only sheds light on the unique challenges and opportunities encountered by special education teachers but also offers invaluable insights into the integration of local wisdom in assessment development, paving the way for more culturally responsive and effective educational practices in Indonesia and beyond.
