Abstract

Banjarwaru village is one of the villages in Cilacap district with the potential for wooden broom handle craft commodities. The processing of mahogany wood (Swietenia mahagoni) into broom handles produces wood waste that has not been utilized optimally. The accumulation of wood waste is caused by a lack of knowledge among the Banjarwaru village woodworking community regarding the potential dangers, benefits, and economic value of wood waste. Therefore, training in wood waste processing into value-added products such as particleboard is needed. The Community service team together with BUMDes Banjarwaru carried out mentoring activities as a solution method for utilizing wood waste. The mentoring activities carried out consist of educating the negative effects of wood waste on the environment, educating the potential and benefits of wood waste in another processed forms, and training in wood waste processing into particleboard. These series of activities succeeded in increasing the woodworking community understanding of wood waste by 81.6%. The success rate of mentoring reached 91,67% shown by 11 out of 12 mentoring participants understood the potential danger, benefits, and other processed forms of wood waste.

Abstract

Leukemia is a type of blood cancer. Treatment for leukemia patients can last for years because the dose of medication given is adjusted to the patient's immune system. The aim of this research is the use of information technology through a combination of certainty factors and the development of a fuzzy expert system (FES) module to determine the therapeutic schedule for administering leukemia drugs. The urgency of this research is to help medical personnel in measuring the dose of leukemia medication to be given to patients so as to increase the cure rate for leukemia patients. The method used is certainty factor and fuzzy logic. The combination of the certainty factor method and the FES module which is carried out using input variables in the form of the severity of the leukemia suffered by the patient is to produce an appropriate therapeutic schedule for administering leukemia drugs. The result of this research is a combination of the factor certainty method and the FES module which has been tested and the accuracy level is 95.17%, the same as recommendations from experts.

Abstract

Autism is a developmental disorder that attacks children mentally and causes difficulties in interacting with the social environment. Therapy that can be done to people with autism to deal with communication disorders is speech therapy. Application usage health or better known as mobile health is easy and fast to help users in accessing information about various health problems, one of which is child development or better known as an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) which was developed using augmented reality (AR) technology. The purpose of the study is to optimizing the marked-based tracking method to augmented reality technology for speech therapy tutorials for children with autism. The results obtained from this study are the SELPY application (Self Autism Therapy) mobile-based speech therapy for people with autism which is a product of the application of appropriate technology in the field of information technology, especially in the health sector. The marked-based tracking method has been successfully implemented in the development of speech therapy AR applications for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This is by the results of the tests that have been carried out, namely distance testing and angle testing. The most ideal distance to detect marker/image targets is 40cm to 50cm with a smartphone tilt angle of 200 to 300.

Abstract

Ear, nose, and throat (ENT) disease is a disorder that occurs in the eustachian tube in one of the organs, be it the ear, nose, or throat. Early signs of ENT disease include sore throat, painful swallowing, swollen and red tonsils, runny nose, nosebleeds, blocked nose, discharge from the ears, and others. To determine the diagnosis, it is necessary to carry out a physical examination of the ears, nose, and throat as recommended by an expert, namely an ENT doctor. The research carried out was implementing data mining for the diagnosis of ENT diseases using the Naïve Bayes (NB) method. This method was chosen because it can increase the accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility of health services and is also easy to understand and apply to classify ENT disease symptom data. The NB method was used to build an ENT diagnosis classification model and the model performance was evaluated using accuracy, precision, and recall metrics. To increase the accuracy of the NB algorithm predictions, feature selection using a genetic algorithm can be used. Genetic algorithms can help select the most relevant and significant features, improving the accuracy of NB models by eliminating irrelevant or noisy features. By applying this method, predictions for ENT diseases can be produced with an accuracy of 95.67%.

Abstract

Background. Children with special needs (ABK) are children who are in several ways different from other children in general. Among the crew members are Special Children (ALB), which consists of children who are blind, deaf, mentally retarded, quadriplegic, mentally disabled and double disabled. Some of the main things that need to be considered in the learning process for ALB are teachers, learning methods, learning approaches, infrastructure and learning support media (teaching aids). Purpose. The purpose of this community service activity is to solve the problems faced by partners in the English learning process, namely when a disorder results in disruption in daily functioning, especially in learning, the student requires special services (children with special educational needs) and requires specific learning methods in addition to appropriate and interactive learning media. Method. The solution offered to overcome this problem is the optimization of teaching methods. The recommended approach in the English language assistance activities for the Cilacap State Polytechnic PkM Team is in the form of prompts and demonstrations. Meanwhile, teaching English can use total physical response (TPR) by maximizing lip reading technique in addition to maximizing the use of flash cards to attract students' interest and focus. Results. The results obtained from this community service activity are increasing the ability of children with special needs to say a few simple words in English. The growth and development of children with special needs increase after the community service activities are completed. This is shown from the evaluation results carried out by the service team by conducting a post-test on ABK. Conclusion. To get significant results, namely increasing the growth and development of ABK, especially in the pronunciation of words in English, it is better if this activity is carried out regularly in the future.

Abstract

Background. BUMDes Banjarwaru Sejahtera is a business owned and managed by the people of Banjarwaru Village, Cilacap Regency. Some of the businesses that have been managed by BUMDes Banjarwaru Sejahtera include renting molen machines and making handicrafts such as broom handles and woven bamboo household crafts which produce an abundance of wood waste left over from the production process. So far, this wood waste has been sold to tofu craftsmen as fuel for the tofu production process. Purpose. People can use wood waste as added value by processing wood waste into handicrafts that have high economic value so that they can improve the welfare of the people of Banjarwaru village. Through this community service activity, training will be held on the use of wood waste chopping machines so that processed wood waste can be made into handicrafts such as particle boards or other handicrafts. Method. The method used is a lecture method where the community service team who are lecturers at the Cilacap State Polytechnic provide training on the use of wood waste chopping machines to members of BUMDes Banjarwaru Sejahtera and several wood craftsmen in Banjarwaru village. Results. The results of this community service activity have had a positive impact on business development at BUMDes Banjarwaru Sejahtera. Conclusion. Through this community service activity, it can be concluded that this activity has had a positive impact on the business development of BUMDes Banjarwaru Sejahtera. Apart from this, training in the use of wood waste chopping machines can also increase the competence of wood craftsmen in Banjarwaru village so they can produce more varied crafts made from wood waste.

Abstract

The rapid development of social commerce has changed the way consumers shop and interact with brands. However, the success of social commerce platforms cannot be separated from a deep understanding of the factors that influence consumer satisfaction and purchase intentions. This study aims to analyze the success of social commerce using the Expectation Confirmation Model (ECM) method. ECM is a model that explains that consumer satisfaction is influenced by the confirmation of their expectations of a product or service. This study identifies the main problems in social commerce, namely consumer uncertainty about product quality, transaction security, and shopping experiences that meet expectations. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a survey of consumers who have shopped through social commerce platforms. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to test the research hypothesis. The results of the study showed that confirmation of consumer expectations about product quality, transaction security, and ease of use of the social commerce platform had a positive effect on their satisfaction. In addition, consumer satisfaction also influenced their repurchase intentions on the platform. Based on these findings, this study offers solutions for social commerce managers to increase the success of their platforms. These solutions include providing clear and accurate product information, ensuring transaction security, and improving an easy and enjoyable shopping experience.

Abstract

The Community Service (PKM) activity carried out in Banjarwaru Village aims to empower the community through structured and effective waste management. The partner in this program, namely BUMDes "Banjarwaru Sejahtera," is at the forefront of efforts to realize village economic independence by utilizing waste as one of the economic resources. This activity was initiated with the background of problems faced by the community, especially the low awareness of waste management which results in the accumulation of waste in the surrounding environment which has a negative impact on health and environmental aesthetics. Another problem found is the lack of facilities and infrastructure for waste management. To overcome this, the PKM program that is being run carries various solutions designed according to the needs and potential in Banjarwaru Village. The solutions implemented in this program include education and counseling to increase public awareness of the importance of waste management. This educational activity is carried out through counseling and campaigns that directly involve the village community. The PKM team of Cilacap State Polytechnic also provided additional trash bins at strategic points so that people can easily dispose of trash according to its type. With the implementation of these solutions, the main target to be achieved is to increase public awareness of the importance of waste management and the formation of a more structured waste management system. Through education and provision of facilities, it is hoped that the community can consistently separate waste and actively participate in maintaining the cleanliness of the village environment.

Abstract

Diagnosis dan pengambilan keputusan tentang penyakit dalam bidang medis menghadapi ketidakpastian yang dapat memengaruhi proses pengobatan. Keputusan ini dibuat berdasarkan pengetahuan pakar dan cara seorang pakar dalam mendefinisikan kondisi pasien, gejala yang dialami dan faktor-faktor lain yang memengaruhi. Hasil definisi setiap pakar mungkin saja terdapat perbedaan berdasarkan faktor-faktor tersebut. Fuzzy modular expert system adalah suatu sistem berbasis pengetahuan yang memanfaatkan logika fuzzy untuk menangani ketidakpastian dan modularitas dalam pengambilan keputusan. Dalam sistem dengan ketidakpastian tinggi dan kompleksitas tinggi, logika fuzzy merupakan metode yang cocok untuk pemodelan. Dalam penelitian ini, fuzzy modular expert system untuk pemodelan ketidakpastian dalam pemberian dosis obat untuk terapi penyakit leukemia.  Variabel output yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tingkat toksisitas yang dihasilkan dari proses pemberian dosis obat yang dibagi menjadi lima kategori yaitu sangat rendah, rendah, sedang, tinggi dan sangat tinggi. Variabel output yang kedua adalah kategori stadium leukemia yang diderita oleh pasien yang dibagi menjadi empat kategori yaitu stadium 1, stadium 2, stadium 3 dan stadium 4. Penelitian ini menggunakan 128 data latih pasien dengan dua variabel output. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa fuzzy modular expert system dalam mengindentifikasi dosis obat yang diberikan sebagai terapi obat leukemia dengan akurasi rata-rata sekitar 94,8% berdasarkan data yang telah diuji dan dibandingkan dengan informasi dari pakar.   Abstract Diagnosis and decision-making about diseases in the medical field face uncertainties that can affect the treatment process. These decisions are based on expert knowledge and how an expert defines the patient's condition, symptoms experienced, and other influencing factors. The results of each expert's definition may differ based on these factors. A fuzzy modular expert system is a knowledge-based system that utilizes fuzzy logic to handle uncertainty and modularity in decision-making. In systems with high uncertainty and high complexity, fuzzy logic is a suitable method for modeling. In this study, a fuzzy modular expert system for modeling uncertainty in leukemia diagnosis. The output variables used in this study are the level of toxicity resulting from the drug dosing process which is divided into five categories, namely shallow, low, medium, high, and very high. The second output variable is the category of leukemia stage suffered by the patient which is divided into four categories, namely stage 1, stage 2, stage 3, and stage 4. This study used 128 patient training data with 2 output variable. The results indicate that the fuzzy modular expert system can diagnose leukemia with an average accuracy of around 94.8% based on data that has been tested and compared with expert diagnoses.

Abstract

Desa Widarapayung Wetan mempunyai potensi yang khas yaitu yutuk atau undur – undur laut. Pengolahan yutuk saat ini masih terbatas hanya dijadikan keripik ataupun hanya digoreng yang dijual seharga Rp 2.500 per bungkus. Harga jual yutuk yang relatif rendah dan proses pengolahan yang masih terbatas menjadi salah satu penyebab produk olahan yutuk sulit bersaing. Diversifikasi dan pengolahan yutuk menjadi produk yang bernilai tambah perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan nilai jual dari yutuk. Yutuk dapat diolah menjadi tepung yutuk. Tepung yutuk kemudian dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi produk olahan lainnya sesuai dengan keinginan.Tepung yutuk diharapkan dapat meningkatkan nilai jual yutuk. Kelompok Nelayan Yutuk Desa Widarapayung Wetan dibekali ilmu dan wawasan untuk mengolah yutuk melalui kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan tepung. Kegiatan terbagi menjadi dua sesi, sesi pertama diawali dengan cara untuk melakukan pengeringan dan penepungan yutuk kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sesi kedua yaitu mengolah yutuk menjadi stik yutuk. Peserta kegiatan mengikuti rangkaian kegiatan dengan antusias. Diharapkan melalui kegiatan ini masyarakat desa Widarapayung Wetan khususnya kelompok nelayan Yutuk dapat meningkatkan nilai jual yutuk dengan menjual variasi olahan yutuk yang berasal dari tepung yutuk
