Abstract

AbstractMarriages carried out before the legal age and permitted by law are called young marriages. Young marriages are increasingly prevalent in Indonesia due to the existence of marriage dispensations that are granted or that can be requested from the court by couples who wish to marry for urgent reasons. The problem that will be studied regarding young marriage is reviewed in Indonesian marriage law and the consequences of young marriage for present and future life. The research methodology used in this study is normative legal research, which refers to the legal norms that exist in society and the legal norms contained in statutory regulations. As a result of young marriages, socio-economic problems arise, and they worry that they will not be able to fulfill their obligations as husband and wife, especially in managing the family budget. Domestic violence and divorce are becoming more common in young marriages due to unstable egos and emotions. Young marriage or also called early marriage is a relationship between two individuals of different sexes who have reached their teenage years (before the age of 19 years) to live together in a family bond. Such a union is inappropriate because the couple is not ready to create a stable household, both physically and mentally, which can result in divorce.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the associations between levels of population density and the transmission of COVID-19 in Indonesia. Descriptive analysis is employed to determine the data distribution of the response variable (dependent variable Y) as well as the independent variables X1 and X2. Therefore, inferential analysis is a quantitative technique that involves examining a sample in order to draw conclusions about a larger population. The present investigation has revealed a statistically significant positive connection (r = 0.954) between the incidence of COVID-19 patients and population density in Indonesia. The Model Summary provides the R value (Correlation Coefficient) of 0.959, indicating a strong positive correlation between the variables. Additionally, the multiple correlation coefficient r (Multiple R) is 0.920, which represents the determination index or the proportion of the influence of X on Y. Therefore, it can be asserted that 92% of COVID-19 cases are driven by population density and the number of individuals experiencing employment terminations, whilst the remaining 8% is affected by additional factors. The regression equation can be constructed from the Coefficients table in the following manner: The equation can be expressed as . The calculation of the Standard Error of the Estimate (SE) yields a value of 8151.076 or 8151. The standardized coefficient (Beta) of 1.381 represents the extent of association between the number of COVID-19 infection cases and population density.

Abstract

Indonesia's title as the most generous country in the world is supported by the strengthening spirit of social piety movements among the Muslim middle class. Social piety movements are of course also supported by the power of the social movement's collective identity in forming the basis that provides the "structure," foundation for engagement, and guidance for individual participation in its expansion. Unfortunately, the strong link between the development of collective identity in social movement groups has not been explained by previous studies. The aim of this research is to describe how the boundary work mechanism contributes to the development of collective identity in the Muslim middle class social piety movement in the Tangan di Atas (TDA) community. Using qualitative descriptive research, the research was conducted over a period of one year (December 2022-December 2023) and describes the actors and boundary work mechanisms in forming collective identity. The researcher conducted in-depth interviews with several subjects who were administrators as well as members of the TDA community to explore variations in their experiences related to the social piety movement they engage in. Meanwhile, with a phenomenological approach, researchers explore the role of individual knowledge, thoughts and feelings or internal aspects or individual subjectivity. The results of this research show that there are several aspects that can be used to view boundary works as a mechanism for forming the collective identity of social piety movements in the TDA community; shared values and principles, joint activities, mutual recognition and appreciation, and establishing relationships with external parties.

Abstract

Healthy eating behavior is becoming increasingly prevalent in Indonesia, especially after the COVID-19 outbreak from 2020-2022, which highlighted the importance of diet for immunity. Generation Z, being a significant part of the Indonesian population, presents an opportunity for targeted public health promotions. This study aims to explore Generation Z attitudes towards healthy food to develop an effective Foodpreneur design strategy. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews and literature studies involving 29 Gen Z participants from various campuses. The research applied the design thinking method and the empathy map to derive a comprehensive strategy. The results revealed that while Gen Z acknowledges the importance of healthy eating for a balanced lifestyle, they face barriers such as economic constraints, taste preferences, and accessibility. However, there is a clear enthusiasm for promoting local and sustainable food practices. The findings suggest that an effective Foodpreneur design strategy should emphasize educating Gen Z on the benefits of local and healthy food, creating engaging and relatable promotional content, and leveraging social media to enhance awareness and accessibility. This approach can foster a culture of health consciousness and support local economies, aligning with Gen Z values and behaviors.
