Abstract

The birth of the Islamic boarding school in the middle of the community, have led this institution has a strong relationship with the community. In fact, often the interplay between boarding school with life and the surrounding environment exceeds the effect of the administrative area of the village or surrounding villages. human  resource development for the students should refer to the needs of the community itself, because then the students will return to the community after they finish their studies, the return of the students is expected to be an agent of renewal (agent of change) and build community. At various pesatren in Indonesia, social mobility has happened quite a long time due to their boarding system integration with the public system followed by the developments taking place in the community. The integration of these two systems allows a community to access various economic resources of both. It certainly can be a cause of  social mobility. The transition from being a profession of chaplain / counselor religion only   later become professional workers such as employers, educators, politicians, and so is the most dominant cause of mobility in schools. Likewise, the development of community schools in terms of both economic and social development of the world of work and marriage among layers cause high mobility both vertically and horizontally. Social mobility in society is strongly influenced by the social system and values  that  exist therein. A society with a closed system, would not allow for social mobility can occur vertically or horiziontal subsequently leading to the failure of a rearrangement in society.Keywords: Mobility, Islamic boarding school

Abstract

Historically, all religions born, grew, and developed from the area of Eastern civilization (or rather Asian). There are two central points of eastern civilization that caused those religions, namely: 1) Middle East (and South Asia) in this area was appeared some religions: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism, and 2) East Asia was appeared some religions: Tao (ism), Confucianism (Konfusianism), and Shinto. From these central points was born and grew religion to be a part of the history of mankind. The real society is a religious phenomenon. This religiousness is revealed from the fact that people are always trying to worship extraordinary things such as: nature (sun, sea, fire, mountain, etc.), charismatic spiritual leaders, technology or Individual ”Supra-Inderawi" are identified the name of the Lord. A big confusion modernism that encourages people to looks for The Real God. The Real God who is worthy to worship and also missing The Real Religion, real religion which become the guides of life.Keywords: Religion, Society

Abstract

Social capital related with collective value in the social network which is growth-develop as the implication of reciprocal relationship that occur therein. Collective value is naturally creating and maintaining social capital. Increases, decreases, or the survival social capital is depends on the collective values that exist in social network In short, social capital is recognized has great influence from economic development and poverty reduction. In Indonesia to dig and take the hidden social capital need to be knitted trust of each element of this nation. Trust is media and first step to bind "Bridging Social Capital" of Indonesia. Ethic, religion, race language party, ideology, and other various primordial barriers should be fostered to strengthen social capital. Indonesia has been proven-through the struggle against the colonizer- that social capital in Indonesia is so “extraordinary”.Keywords: Social Capital, Development

Abstract

Keluarga merupakan struktur sosial terkecil dalam suatu negara yang memiliki peran penting dalam mensosialisasikan nilai-nilai demokratisasi pada seluruh anggotanya. Nilai-nilai tersebut lebih ditujukan untuk memberikan ruang kebebasan bagi anak dalam berekspresi dan berapresiasi sesuai dengan peran, hak dan kewajibannya dilingkungan keluarga maupun masyarakat. Sebagai salah satu komponen tri pusat pendidikan, institusi keluarga idealnya menjadi tempat yang ramah bagi pembelajaran anak dalam menciptakan ketenangan, kesenangan, keleluasaan atau kebebasan untuk pengembangan diri secara optimal. Adapun peran kedua orang tua dalam mewujudkan kebebasan berekspresi pada anak, antara lain:(a) Kedua orang tua harus mencintai dan menyayangi anak-anaknya, (b) Kedua orang tua harus menjaga ketenangan lingkungan rumah dan menyiapkan ketenangan jiwa anak-anak, (c) Saling menghormati antara kedua orang tua dan anak-anak, (d) Mewujudkan kepercayaan, (e) Mengadakan perkumpulan dan musyawarah keluarga (kedua orang tua dan anak).

Abstract

The greatest assignment for all elements in this country is to bridge the gap between democratic ideals that emerged and broached by the founding fathers and with the current real life situation of Indonesian democracy with enormous number of problems. The ideal and elegant of democratic aspiration - as stated in the Pancasila – is in contrast with the real conditions of contemporary democracy that bloated with egoistic conflicts of interest and social mess. Yet, Pancasila calls for democracy - through mass consultative mechanisms – directed to bring out social justice for all Indonesian people. This paper attempts to disclose the discourse about how democracy should be taught and deployed within the Indonesianism frame. It worth to be put forward because Indonesian has a particularly different current of history and cultural mold in comparison to other countries. Therefore, the interpretation and implementation of democracy must be re-investigated and re-explored from the history and culture of Indonesia itself, rather than taken for granted taken from the foreign cultures-mainly Western-which may not be compatible with the Indonesian characteristics. With deep understanding, the actual values ​​of democracy by Indonesian characterized, recorded on the precepts contained in the Pancasila markedly. Each precept of the Pancasila is core characteristic of cultural values of every ethnic groups in Indonesia. This is initiated in order to enlive Pancasila and turn every action in the name of nation and state.

Abstract

Pesantren, recently, is one of educational institutions that still exist in Indonesia’s education. The important role of pesantren in developing human resource is by implementing fighting spirit to its santri2. This study is a descriptive research designed using case study model with the source determined purposively (purposive sampling), by choosing samples who knows the problems, have the data and willing to give the data. The data collection technique is using in depth interview with key informant and document analysis. The data analysis is using data reduction procedure, data presentation, and conclusion/verification making. Data validating is using method and source triangulation. This research objectives are to know deeper about 1) the form of ritual tradition applied in College Student Pesantren Al Hikam and the meaning of the ritual tradition, 2) the strategy of santri’s human resource development in College Student Pesantren Al Hikam in entering the societal life, and 3) the motivation model applied in College Student Pesantren Al Hikam.Keyword: Human Resource, Pesantren, Santri

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis proses adaptasi nilai-nilai nasionalis dan religius dari Pondok Pesantren Rakyat al-Amin Sumber Pucung Kab. Malang dalam pada masyarakat sekitarnya. 2) Mendeskripsikan dan menemukan pola dan integrasi nilai-nilai nasionalis dan religius dari Pondok Pesantren Rakyat al-Amin Sumber Pucung Kab. Malang dalam pada masyarakat sekitarnya sehingga mampu membentuk konstruksi Islam ekologis.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data merupakan proses menyusun, mengkategorikan dan mencari pola atau tema melalui penemuan-pertanyaan (question-discovery) mengenai Islam Ekologis dalam masyarakat nasionalis religius di Pondok Pesantren Rakyat al-Amin Sumber Pucung Kab. Malang.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) Proses adaptasi nilai-nilai nasionalis dan religius dari Pondok Pesantren Rakyat al-Amin Sumber Pucung Kab. Malang pada masyarakat sekitarnya dilakukan dengan mengutamakan cinta tanah air merupakan sesuatu yang tidak tergantikan pada diri setiap anak bangsa. 2) Pemeliharaan pola Pondok Pesantren Rakyat Sumber Pucung kab. Malang dari pemberdayaan masyarakat mampu mendorong perubahan dan mengembangkan nasionalisme sebagai kekuatan intinya.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana program lembaga pendidikan dalam menumbuhkan sikap nasionalisme kepada para peserta didiknya, (2)  Untuk mengetahui bagaimana output dari siswa setelah menerima dan melaksanakan penerapan nilai-nilai pancasila sebagai bekal setelah mereka lulus dari sekolah dan mencegah agar tidak terpengaruh oleh ideologi atau faham yang bertentangan dengan Pancasila, (3) untuk mengetahui mengenai daya dukung dan hambatan yang dialami oleh lembaga pendidikan tersebut dalam menerapakan nilai-nilai pancasila. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah Wawancara, Observasi, dan juga Dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1) MTs Ahmad Yani menerapakan pendidikan karakter dikelas dan juga menerapkan pendidikan karakter melalui kerjasama dengan TNI, POLRI dan juga Muspida 2) Output yang didapat siswa Mts Ahmad Yani setelah menerima dan melaksanakan penerapan nilai-nilai pancasila adalah adanya perubahan sikap seperti disiplin diri yang semakin baik dan juga meningkatnya pengetahuan mengenai wawasan kebangsaan, (3) Secara umum daya dukung dan hambatan yang dialami oleh MTs Ahmad Yani dalam menerapkan nilai-nilai pancasila untuk menumbuhkan sikap nasionalisme terbagi menjadi dua faktor yakni faktor internal dan juga eksternal.

Abstract

Western scholars who separate between science and religion have brought people in the final point of civilization. Therefore, the duty of Moslem scholar in the 21th century is to rebuild the spiritual intellectual integrity in the frame of science and civilization. The main responsibility of Moslem scholars, nowadays, in reaching the brightness of life is reconstructing science paradigm by relocating God as the main stream of thought. The bright time of Madinah civilization is the starting point of the glory of Islamic civilization which successfully has entered all over the world. Therefore, intellectual orientation which has become Moslem’s responsibility is to reform the principles of Madinah civilization to be reconstructed to the present time. This is very important issue as Madinah civilization has not established yet that will be possible for Moslem scholars can speak much about the 21th century civilization.  At the beginning of Islam period, the fight proposed by Moslem scholars was deconstructed the jahiliyah’s way of thinking, furthermore, the great jihad of Moslem scholars in the present time is reconstructing the scientific way of thinking which is currently empirical-minded. Moreover, the Moslem scholar’s responsibility is to present spiritualism in scientific discourse. The integration of science and religion has become conceptualization of his science, hence, al Quran will be always the eternal source of science. Sarjana Barat yang memisahkan antara sains dan agama telah membawa orang di titik akhir peradaban. Oleh karena itu, tugas sarjana Islam di abad ke 21 adalah membangun kembali integritas intelektual spiritual dalam kerangka sains dan peradaban. Tanggung jawab utama ulama Muslim, saat ini, dalam mencapai kecerahan hidup adalah merekonstruksi paradigma sains dengan merelokasi Tuhan sebagai aliran pemikiran utama. Waktu cemerlang peradaban Madinah menjadi titik awal dari kemuliaan peradaban Islam yang telah berhasil masuk ke seluruh dunia. Oleh karena itu, orientasi intelektual yang telah menjadi tanggung jawab umat Islam adalah mereformasi prinsip peradaban Madinah untuk direkonstruksi hingga saat ini. Ini adalah isu yang sangat penting karena peradaban Madinah belum terbentuk, yang mungkin bagi ulama Islam dapat berbicara banyak tentang peradaban abad 21. Pada awal periode Islam, pertarungan yang diajukan oleh para ilmuwan Muslim mendekonstruksi cara berpikir jahiliyah, jihad besar ulama Muslim saat ini sedang membangun kembali cara berpikir ilmiah yang saat ini bersifat empiris. Lebih dari itu, tanggung jawab ilmuwan Muslim adalah menyajikan spiritualisme dalam wacana ilmiah. Integrasi sains dan agama telah menjadi konseptualisasi sainsnya, oleh karena itu, al Quran akan selalu menjadi sumber sains abadi.

Abstract

Higher education has been accused as an environment which has less moral and religious values. The negative stereotype became more evident when some higher education institutions involved in some disputes such as brawl among students, and riots in Ramadhan and at the time of sahur. There is also State Islamic Higher Education Institution (PTKIN) among the campuses. However, some SIHEIs have constructed religious culture through Integrative Religious Practices (IRP). The paper aims at evaluating the IRP as a strategy in building campus religious culture. Interview, participant observation, and data analysis lead to the finding that IRP development was formally done in class and was informally and ceremonially applied outside the class through ma’had, students’ organizations, cooperation with religious institutions, and relation across region and professions can build campus religious culture. Moreover, it also improves students’ ethical behavior, empathy, and tolerant. The study suggests that religious subject in higher education and schools is developed using IRP and involves relevant units and religious organizations outside campus to improve the understanding on the socio-religious value to establish ethical, tolerant, empathy, and cooperative behavior. Perguruan Tinggi telah dituduh sebagai lingkungan yang kurang mencerminkan nilai-nilai moral dan religius. Stereotip buruk ini makin diperkuat dengan keterlibatan PT dalam beberapa kericuhan seperti tawuran mahasiswa serta tawuran di bulan Ramadhan dan di waktu sahur. Di antara perguruan tinggi tersebut terdapat Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri (PTKIN). Namun ada juga PTKIN yang telah membangun budaya religius melalui Praktik Keagamaan Integratif (PKI). Tulisan ini mengevaluasi PKI sebagai strategi dalam membangun budaya religius di kampus. Wawancara, observasi partisipan, dan analisis data yang dilakukan menghasilkan temuan bahwa pengembangan PKI yang dilakukan secara formal di kelas dan diaplikasikan nonformal dan seremonial di luar kelas melalui ma’had, organisasi kemahasiswaan, kerjasama dengan lembaga keagamaan, dan pergaulan lintas daerah dan profesi dapat membangun budaya religius di kampus. Selain itu, hal itu juga dapat menumbuhkan sikap etis, empati, dan toleran di kalangan mahasiswa. Tulisan ini menyarankan agar materi keagamaan di PT dan sekolah dikembangkan dengan praktik keagamaan integratif dan melibatkan berbagai unit terkait dan organisasi keagamaan di luar kampus untuk meningkatkan pemahaman nilai-nilai sosial-keagamaan sehingga menumbuhkan perilaku agamis, toleran, empati, dan sikap saling menghargai.
