Abstract

The Chruch Law states that there is a proper and serious duty, especially on the part of pastors of souls, to provide for the catechesis of the christian people so that the faith of the faithful becomes living, explicit and productive through formation in doctrine and the experience of christian living. The main elements of the statement are: catechical instruction or formation, pastors are primarilly responsible for catechetical education and the pupose of catechesis.

Abstract

The Atoin Meto community communally has a philosophy of life that serves as the foundation of their lives, which is known as nekaf mese asnaof mese. The philosophy of life is oriented towards the facilitation of cultural exchange and the consolidation of collective identity. Therefore, the objective of this study is to examine the manner in which the life philosophy of nekaf mese ansaof mese is employed to enhance cultural relations and the identity of the Atoin Meto in the Sacato-Wini region. This study used a qualitative method with a literature approach and in-depth interviews. The results indicated that the value of nekaf mese ansaof mese is internalized through social practices such as gotong royong (hena loak), customary deliberation (nifuni), and cultural rituals (el'ana, ela'naek, pah banu). These practices foster solidarity, peaceful conflict resolution, and reconciliation among diverse identities. Furthermore, this value serves to reinforce the spiritual connection that exists between humans, nature, and the Transcendent. Consequently, Nekaf Mese Ansaof Mese is instrumental in fostering inclusive intercultural relations and fortifying local and national identities in the context of globalization and the challenges posed by modernity.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk membentuk kesadaran kritis kaum muda Katolik terhadap hakikat perkawinan Katolik dari perspektif Hukum Gereja dan Moralitas, khususnya dalam menghadapi tantangan era digital yang dapat melemahkan kesatuan dan komitmen pasangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif yang melibatkan kaum muda secara aktif dalam seluruh proses kegiatan, mulai dari koordinasi, sosialisasi, perencanaan hingga pelaksanaan berupa pendalaman materi dan diskusi reflektif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa para peserta memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai nilai sakramental perkawinan, khususnya mengenai sifat monogami dan ketakterceraikan (Kanon 1056–1057), tujuan utama perkawinan seperti kesejahteraan pasangan dan prokreasi, serta pentingnya komitmen dan tanggung jawab moral dalam hidup berkeluarga. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan dampak positif bagi para pengurus Gereja yang ikut terlibat, dengan munculnya semangat untuk mengevaluasi kehidupan keluarga mereka dalam terang ajaran Gereja. Simpulan dari kegiatan ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan partisipatif dalam pembinaan kaum muda terbukti efektif dalam menanamkan pemahaman teologis yang kontekstual, sekaligus menjadi sarana transformatif untuk memperkuat nilai kesetiaan dan tanggung jawab dalam hidup perkawinan di tengah pengaruh budaya digital masa kini.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Paroki Hati Yesus Yang Maha Kudus Noemuti, salah satu paroki tertua di Pulau Timor yang memiliki peran penting dalam kehidupan spiritual masyarakat. Paroki ini menghadapi dua tantangan utama: terbatasnya akses umat terhadap informasi pastoral dan sistem manajemen data yang masih bersifat manual. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aksesibilitas informasi rohani serta efisiensi manajemen data pastoral melalui digitalisasi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan sistem, pengembangan aplikasi web, ujicoba sistem, sosialisasi dan pelatihan, hingga penyusunan luaran ilmiah. Aplikasi yang dikembangkan memiliki fitur utama seperti manajemen data umat, jadwal kegiatan gereja, renungan harian digital, serta statistik pastoral. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa sistem digital ini mampu meningkatkan efisiensi kerja pengurus paroki dan memperluas jangkauan informasi kepada umat, termasuk mereka yang berada di wilayah terpencil. Mahasiswa yang terlibat juga mendapatkan pengalaman praktis dalam penerapan teknologi di komunitas lokal, mendukung program Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi pemberdayaan komunitas religius pedesaan melalui pendekatan teknologi informasi yang kontekstual dan berkelanjutan

Abstract

Keluarga Kristiani, dalam terang iman akan Trinitas Mahakudus, dipahami sebagai ikon kasih Allah yang hidup, mencerminkan persekutuan kasih antara Bapa, Putra, dan Roh Kudus. Namun, perkembangan zaman yang ditandai oleh krisis nilai, individualisme, dan pelemahan spiritual telah menggerus identitas keluarga sebagai ecclesia domestica. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji makna keluarga sebagai ikon kasih Trinitas dalam terang seruan apostolik Amoris Laetitia karya Paus Fransiskus, serta menawarkan pendekatan pastoral yang aplikatif untuk memperkuat spiritualitas dan ketahanan keluarga di tengah tantangan kontemporer. Dengan metode studi pustaka dan pendekatan reflektif-teologis, penelitian ini menyoroti relasi keluarga dalam kerangka Imago Dei, spiritualitas kasih Trinitaris, dan dinamika hidup konkrit keluarga sebagai tempat teofani. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa keluarga bukan hanya realitas sosial, melainkan panggilan profetis untuk menghadirkan kasih Allah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari melalui pengampunan, dialog, penghayatan sakramen, dan pelayanan. Amoris Laetitia menegaskan kembali keindahan panggilan keluarga, sekaligus menawarkan strategi pendampingan pastoral yang berbelas kasih, realistis, dan bertahap untuk menjawab krisis relasional zaman ini. Dengan demikian, keluarga dipulihkan sebagai ruang suci tempat manusia belajar mencintai, mengampuni, dan menyatakan kehadiran Allah yang hidup di tengah dunia.

Abstract

Technological advances are very attractive to millennials, so ancient things such as customs or culture are ignored. Pa'ol Sao is also one of the cultures that tend to be ignored, so the values contained in it are unknown. The purpose of this research is to reveal the meaning and value of life in the Pa'ol Sao ritual. The method used is descriptive, with an ontological theoretical reference as the basis for solving the existing problems. It was found that the Buna' people live under the auspices of four capitals, namely: material, intellectual, social, and spiritual. The four capitals become the main pillars that create harmony of life through their respective roles. The results of this research can become knowledge that, if understood properly, can also become a practice of living together in harmony and peace

Abstract

This article examines the example of the holiness of Mary, the mother of Jesus, as a paradigm in the formation of the faith and morals of contemporary Christian women. The background of this study departs from the reality of the decline in moral and spiritual values ​​experienced by many Christian women amidst the currents of modernity, secularism, and the crisis of religious identity. This phenomenon is reflected in the weakening of faith commitment, a decline in moral integrity, and a shift in life orientation from spiritual values ​​to material and individualistic interests. In this context, the discussion focuses on how the example of Mary's holiness can be implemented concretely in the formation of the faith and morals of contemporary women, namely through obedience to God's will, faithfulness in prayer, and the experience of love in social relationships and daily life responsibilities. The main objective of this study is to explore and actualize the values ​​of Marian holiness, such as obedience, humility, purity, and loyalty so that they can become a concrete inspiration for Christian women in living a life based on faith. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with theological-biblical analysis and literature study of various sources of Scripture and Church documents. The results of this study illustrate that Marian spirituality has transformative value in shaping the character of Christian women who are spiritually strong and morally upright. In conclusion, Mary's exemplary life is not only historical and symbolic, but also actual and contextual, serving as a life paradigm for Christian women in facing the challenges of faith and ethics in the modern era.

Abstract

The background to this research is the condition of Manggarai women in NTT who still face structural limitations due to patriarchal culture. The customary practice of belis or dowry often perpetuates subordination, treats women as objects of transaction, and confines their roles to the domestic sphere, thereby limiting their participation in the public sphere. On the other hand, the story of the Samaritan woman in John 4:1-42 offers a radically transformative narrative of liberation from multiple layers of discrimination. This study aims to bridge this gap by analysing how the story of the Samaritan woman's transformation can be adopted as an inspiring theological paradigm for the social transformation of Manggarai women. The method used is descriptive qualitative through literature study. The analysis was conducted in two stages; first, a biblical theological hermeneutical analysis of the text of John 4:1-42 to reveal the meaning of transformation and second, a socio-cultural analysis of the position of Manggarai women. The results of the study show that the transformation of the Samaritan woman was twofold. She underwent a personal transformation, or what is known as restoration of dignity, from social and moral alienation, which directly led to a communal transformation, or the courage to become a prophetic witness in the public sphere. This turning point is symbolised by her action of leaving her water jar, which marks a shift from a domestic focus to a public role. This transformation serves as a powerful counter-narrative to patriarchal structures and practices that diminish the value of women. This study concludes that this biblical narrative has significant contextual potential as a theology of gender liberation. The courage of the Samaritan woman who spoke up can ultimately inspire Manggarai women to move from being objects to empowered subjects, and to take on strategic roles in creating a more just and equitable social order.
