Abstract

Abstract

This article sheds light on how the radical ideology embraced by terrorist actors in Indonesia is connected to the radical ideology of jihadi figures in the world? This study utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to map the ideological evolution and interconnections among jihadi figures in Indonesia and globally. It integrates historical analysis and ideological mapping to provide a comprehensive understanding. Using sanad-based intellectual history theory done by profiling the jihadi figures (from Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab to Aman Abdurrahman) and sanad analysis of their ideological and political views, this article finds the connection between the Indonesian Jihadi figures and the global jihadi figures. Also, this article sees that the radical ideology in Indonesia is transmitted through a convincing chain of sanad from global jihadi figures. This transmission, at the ends, proves the existence of global radicalism indoctrination.

Abstract

To ensure that micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia implement the Digital Payment System Integrity (QRIS), effective monitoring efforts involving social responsibility are required. The purpose of this dedication to the community is to find out how UMKM perpetrators understand QRIS integration and the problems they face. The implementation methods used include direct support, surveys, transaction monitoring, practical training, and understanding of QRIS and digital payment systems. Therefore, Commitment to the Society provides guidelines for implementing commitment initiatives in the community that focus on QRIS integration for small and medium-sized enterprises. (UMKM). In addition, this PkM will help to expand financial inclusion and inclusive economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

Radicalism remains a significant threat to global security, manifesting in various forms, including violent and non-violent approaches. In Indonesia, soft-radicalism—a non-violent form of radicalism that subtly spreads extremist ideologies through digital platforms—poses a growing threat, particularly among Muslim students at State Islamic Universities (PTKIN). This study examines the experiences, views, and attitudes of Muslim students toward soft radicalism, focusing on their exposure to radical content on social media. Through interviews and focus group discussions, the study reveals that students frequently encounter provocative content that challenges state legitimacy and promotes alternative socio-political systems like the caliphate. While students display critical awareness of these narratives, the persistent exposure facilitated by social media algorithms underscores the need for “inclusive digital navigation skills” for them. The skills to wisely and critically navigate the digital world, filter out potentially damaging information and interact in positive, inclusive, and respectful ways of diversity.

Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) is a composite indicator that reflects the quality of life of a population through three primary dimensions: health, education, and a decent standard of living. Improvements in HDI are supported by advancements across all its constituent factors. The dimension of long and healthy life is represented by the increase in life expectancy (LE), while the education dimension is captured through the rise in the mean years of schooling (MYS) and expected years of schooling (EYS). Additionally, the standard of living dimension is indicated by improvements in adjusted per capita expenditure. This study aims to analyze the factors that determine HDI in Indonesia in 2023 using multiple linear regression analysis. The data used in this study are secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency in the form of Human Development Index data and the factors that influence it. The findings reveal that variables such as Life Expectancy (LE), Expected Years of Schooling (EYS), Mean Years of Schooling (MYS), and Adjusted Real Per Capita Expenditure significantly affect the Human Development Index in 2023. This is evidenced by an R-Square value of 0.9957, indicating that the independent variables collectively explain 99.57% of the variance in the dependent variable.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed the education landscape, including within traditional Islamic institutions. This conceptual study examines the ethical implications of AI-based Islamic learning, particularly through the lens of Ta'limul Muta'allim, a classical pedagogical text by Az-Zarnuji widely revered in Pesantren traditions. Using a library research method, the study critically analyzes the principles of Islamic learning, such as the sanctity of the teacher-student relationship, the role of sincerity (ikhlas), and the etiquette of knowledge-seeking (adab)—in contrast to the mechanized, impersonal features of AI-driven education. The paper also reviews contemporary scholarly works on AI and its intersection with religious pedagogy. The findings reveal that while AI offers potential for accessibility and scalability in Islamic learning, it challenges spiritual integrity, traditional epistemology, and ethical values. The study concludes by proposing a normative framework for AI usage in Islamic education that remains faithful to the ethical spirit of Az-Zarnuji's teachings.

Abstract

This article attempts to look at great potential of pesantren as the oldest Islamic religious institution in Indonesia. This research analyzes the three primary assets owned by pesantren (human capital, social capital, and intellectual capital) to become agents of inter-religious harmony. It is based on field research conducted in two Islamic boarding schools with great attention to issues of inter-religious harmony, namely the Aswaja Nusantara Islamic Boarding School, Mlangi, Yogyakarta, managed by Kiai Muhammad Mustafid and the Roudhatus Sholihin Islamic Boarding School, Demak, managed by KH. Abdul Qodir, Lc. The primary data sources of this study were taken from interviews with the leaders and notes from Focus Group Discussions (FGD) with representatives of students. Based on the SWOT analysis of the collected data, this study concludes that Pesantren has excellent potential to become an agent of inter-religious harmony because of its social and intellectual capital and the diverse backgrounds of its students. However, this still requires pesantrens to conduct collaborative-comprehensive efforts to maximize their potential.
