Abstract

In the era of Industry 4.0, automation in production processes is crucial for improving efficiency, consistency, and product quality. This research aims to design and implement an automated system for the production process of various-flavored sandwich using solenoid valves controlled by a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). The system is designed to automate the dispensing of different flavored spreads, such as chocolate, strawberry, and blueberry, which are to be precisely applied to the sandwich. This tool utilizes solenoid valves as the main actuators to control the flow of the spread according to the selected flavor. The PLC system acts as the control center, receiving input from various sensors to detect the presence of the bread, the number of bread slices, and the desired type of spread. Additionally, the PLC manages the operation of the conveyor and the bread-pushing mechanism, ensuring that each process runs synchronously. The results of this research demonstrate that the designed system can effectively automate the production process of various-flavored sandwich. The use of solenoid valves controlled by the PLC enhances precision in spread dispensing, reduces human error, and increases production speed. This system is also designed with flexibility, allowing for the adjustment of various production parameters as needed. Overall, the implementation of automation in the sandwich production process can significantly contribute to increased efficiency and quality in the food industry. Thus, this system is expected to be widely adopted in the industry to improve productivity and the quality of the final product.

Abstract

In the industry, a good control system is needed in order to support the production process in the industry and to optimize efficiency in the production process. Controlling various process variables in production at the desired variable value is one of the important problems faced by the industry. Given this problem, it is necesssary to have a system that can control the variables as desired. In the industrial sector, PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) control is the most widely used because of its simple but effective controller structure for controlling linear systems. Plant water level is one of the control systems in the industry. This system is often found in the industrial world, for example PDAM (Regional Water Supply Company), oil refineries, and chemical factories. The operation of the plant water level in the Polytechnic TEDC Bandung SCADA lab still uses on-off control. The motor controlled by the inverter will stop if the water level in the main tank has reached the upper limit of the set point and motor will work if the water level in the tank is at the lower limit of the set point. This control has drawbacks because the controlled variables are only at two limits. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the control system at the plant water level using a PID controller with the PIDAT instruction so as to know the correct PID parameter values to produce an accurate and fast quality control system. The set point water level is located in the main tank where there are three disturbance valves in the tank to disturb the stability of the set point. In maintaining the stability the stability of the set point by adjusting the flow, the PIDAT control process is carried out which utilizes the instructions in the PLC. Based on the test results of the plant water level control system using P and PIDAT control, PIDAT control is effective for obtaining PID parameters if the set point is not the same as the present value quickly and accurately. Because if you only use P control, the present value will not reach the desired set point. With the PID parameters obtained are P = 61, I = 61, and D = 9 with one disturbance valve, P = 43, I = 23, and D = 3 with two disturbance valves, P = 24, I = 5, and D = 1 with three distubance valves.

Abstract

Pada umumnya pemeliharaan ikan pada akuarium konvesional atau akuarium-akuarium pada umumnya sistem dari pemeliharaan aquariumnya atau operational maintenancenya dilakukan secara manual dan itu bisa saja terhambat karena kesibukan aktivitas pemelihara ikan seperti pekerjaan dll.Seiring berjalannya waktu kini teknologi-teknologi berkembang secara pesat dan terbaharukan salah satu teknologi itu ialah teknologi Internet of Things yaitu perkembangan yang dapat mengoptimalkan kehidupan manusia dengan bantuan sensor dan kecerdasan buatan yang menggunakan jaringan internet untuk menjalankan perintah-perintah, dan menghubungkan baik itu manusia dengan perangkat maupun perangkat dengan perangkat lainnya.Oleh karena itu disini dibuatlah alat yang bernama Aquomation yang dimana alat ini akan memudahkan pemelihara ikan untuk merawat ikan dengan baik karena alat ini sangat mudah digunakan dan memiliki kinerja dan fungsi untuk mengontrol dan memonitoring aquarium seperti mengontrol dan memonitoring suhu pada akuarium, Mengontrol cahaya baik itu lampu UV maupun lampu LED, Mengontrol peralatan yang dibutuhkan akuarium seperti filter, skimmer, bahkan aerator, selain itu juga alat ini bisa untuk memberi pakan secara otomatis secara real time, dan semua fungsi yang dimiliki aquomation tersebut dapat dikontrol melalui handphone sehingga pemilik ikan dapat mengontrol dan memonitoring aquarium dari jarak jauh dengan memanfaatkan teknologi Internet of Thing. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, kinerja dari “aquomation” telah menunjukkan hasil yang sesuai dengan perencanaan .
