Abstract

This study examines the impact of economic policy uncertainty (EPU) on firm value, integrating several variables to enhance the understanding of this relationship. These variables include corporate leverage, debt restructuring, and firm performance. The data for this research were collected through a purposive sampling method, focusing on the financial statements of manufacturing companies in the ASEAN region from 2018 to 2023. The analysis will employ panel data regression techniques, utilizing the Eviews12 application. The findings indicate that EPU significantly affects corporate leverage, performance, and firm value. However, leverage, as proxied by Debt-to-Asset Ratio (DAR) and Debt-to-Capital Ratio (DCR), does not fully account for the performance and value of firms; only the DCR demonstrates a significant impact. Moreover, DCR is found to mediate the relationship between EPU and corporate performance or firm value. In contrast, debt restructuring does not moderate the effect of EPU on corporate performance. Lastly, it is evident that company performance significantly influences firm value and can mediate the impact of EPU on that value.

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to increase the understanding and skills of MSME players assisted by the Central Bengkulu Regency Cooperative and Small Business Office in human resource management (HR) in the digital era and how MSME Business Actors utilize Banking technology to improve MSME businesses. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of the Indonesian economy, contributing around 60% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and absorbing more than 97% of the national workforce (Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, 2021). However, many MSMEs face challenges in access to financing and technology. This research aims to develop MSMEs through the utilization of digital banking technology and advance micro businesses by providing KUR Mikro loan facilities. Using quantitative and qualitative approaches, this study will analyze the impact of digital technology on MSME performance and the effectiveness of the KUR Mikro program in improving the competitiveness of micro enterprises.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), environmental investment, environmental performance, and environmental disclosure on the financial performance of companies. The research is motivated by the crucial role of sustainability practices and corporate social responsibility in supporting financial outcomes, particularly in the manufacturing sector, which has a significant environmental impact. A quantitative approach was employed using multiple linear regression analysis. The sample consists of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2019–2023, with a total of 195 observations. The findings reveal that, simultaneously, all four independent variables significantly affect financial performance. Partially, CSR and environmental performance make a significant positive contribution to enhancing financial performance, while environmental investment shows a negative effect and environmental disclosure has a significant negative impact on financial performance. The implication of this study is that companies need to carefully assess the effectiveness of their environmental investment allocation and disclosure strategies to ensure that they create added value for financial performance without reducing their commitment to sustainability.
