Abstract

Background: High risk teenage sexual behavior has become a problem of the community. Negative impact of such behavior is fatal for the future of teenagers and quality of future generation. Parents' communication has a major role in teenage sexual behavior. Objective: To analyze role of parents' communication in the prevention of high risk teenage sexual behavior. Method: The study was observational with cross sectional design. Data were obtained through indepth interview. Sampling used multi stage random sampling with as many as 250 respondents of grade III vocational school at Baturaja Municipality determined with proportional technique. Data analysis used univariate, bivariate, and multivariate methods. Result: Parents' communication was associated with teenage sexual behavior. The prevalence of high risk teenage sexual behavior was 1.7 times higher (RP=1.7 CI 95%=1.13-3.83) in parents having poor communication. Parents' communication could predict the incidence of high risk teenage sexual behavior as much as 9.3% after being controlled with variable of age, religiousity, media and peer. The result of analysis through indepth interview with teenagers sexually active showed there was communication about sexuality between parents and teenagers that was less open, content of moral massage was not clear and method of delivery was inconvenient. Conclusion: Communication about sexuality given by parents and at early age had important role in preventing high risk teenage sexual behavior. Message of sexuality should be given moreoften and with good quality. Content of sexuality message should be emphasized on moral values, method on how to control sexual drive healthily and according to religious belief, more selective in choosing friends and avoiding exposure from media of pornography.

Abstract

Relational comprehension represents a critical skill that students should acquire to correctly associate concepts. This investigation aims to cultivate a High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)-based Student Worksheet that is both valid and practical, as well as effective, with the potential to significantly influence the relational comprehension of senior high school students. The 'design research' method, incorporating a 'formative research' development model, is used in this research, which is broken down into two stages: initial assessment and self-review. This study was carried out at Muhammadiyah 1 High School in Palembang, focusing on tenth-grade students. Data was evaluated qualitatively in a descriptive manner, founded on observations, interviews, and tests. The study's findings highlight that the developed HOTS-based student worksheet is valid, practical, and efficient in boosting students' relational comprehension once implemented in the classroom. The test outcomes indicate that students possess a reasonably good ability to comprehend HOTS category C4 problems, but are lacking in understanding HOTS category C5 problems. Therefore, additional research is deemed necessary to enhance students' understanding of HOTS category C5 problems.

Abstract

Ubijalar merupakan alternatif sumber karbohidrat. Salah satu upaya peningkatan mutu ubijalar dengan cara persilangan. Persilangan pada ubijalar merupakan cara termudah untuk mendapatkan benih inbred dan hybrid. Secara morfologis bunga ubijalar mudah disilangkan namun dalam persilangan tersebut sering menemui permasalahan. Permasalahan ubijalar dalam persilangan adalah adanya sifat inkompatibilitas dan sterilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya sifat inkompatibilitas pada kombinasi persilangan ubijalar dan kombinasi persilangan yang kompatibel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat beberapa tingkat inkompatibilitas pada kombinasi persilangan ubijalar yaitu tujuh kombinasi persilangan kompatibel, dua belas kombinasi persilangan inkompatibel, dan dua kombinasi persilangan inkompatibel sebagian. Kombinasi persilangan yang inkompatibel yaitu MSU 10051-02 x Bogor Maja, MSU 10051-02 x W-86, Papua solossa x CIP 440287, RIS 10068-02 x CIP 440287, UJ 02 x CIP 440286, UJ 02 x W-86, dan UJ 19 x CIP 440287.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors influencing the ethical behavior of accounting students at Universitas Pelita Bangsa. In the accounting profession, ethics play a vital role in maintaining integrity and public trust in financial reporting. Therefore, the understanding and internalization of ethical principles must be instilled during higher education. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews involving seven final-year students of the accounting study program. The interview guidelines were developed based on the five ethical principles outlined by the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA), namely integrity, objectivity, professional competence and due care, confidentiality, and professional behavior. The findings reveal that students’ understanding of ethical codes, the influence of the academic environment, personal moral values, and learning experiences, including the role of lecturers and curriculum, are key factors shaping ethical behavior. These findings are expected to provide valuable input for higher education institutions in designing more effective and contextual ethics education strategies within accounting programs. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perilaku etis mahasiswa akuntansi di Universitas Pelita Bangsa. Dalam dunia profesi akuntansi, etika memiliki peran krusial dalam menjaga integritas dan kepercayaan publik terhadap laporan keuangan. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman dan internalisasi prinsip-prinsip etika perlu ditanamkan sejak mahasiswa menempuh pendidikan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap tujuh informan yang merupakan mahasiswa tingkat akhir program studi akuntansi. Panduan wawancara disusun berdasarkan lima prinsip etika profesi menurut International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA), yaitu integritas, objektivitas, kompetensi profesional dan kehati-hatian, kerahasiaan, serta perilaku profesional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman terhadap kode etik, pengaruh lingkungan akademik, nilai moral pribadi, serta pengalaman belajar, termasuk peran dosen dan kurikulum, merupakan faktor utama yang membentuk perilaku etis mahasiswa. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi masukan penting bagi institusi pendidikan tinggi dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran etika yang lebih efektif dan kontekstual dalam pendidikan akuntansi.
