Abstract

ABSTRACT The objectives of this thesis was to describe the ReligionEelementsin Nathaniel Hawthorne’s Young Goodman Brown. The method applied in this research was descriptive qualitative method. This research used human instrument by herself. The data was analyzed by describing the elements of religion in short story. In collecting the data, the researcher read the short story and in analysing the data the researcher identifying religion element according to Rees theory. Based on the result of data analysis, the researcher found out data that: 1) God (s) and forces in the public square. The first element was belief in God2)sacred symbols (re) defining what is real were staff, meditation, ceremony, holy psalm, pulpit and Bible 3) sacred stories connecting past, present and future was good Cristians and honestmen,and 4) a community worshiping and acting together was Cristian congregation.In conlusion, the religion elements in Young Goodman Brown short story included belief, attitude and action in everyday life. Abstract

Penelitian dengan judul “Analisis Pengelolaan Dana Zakat Dalam Memberdayakan UMKM Pada Lazis Muhammadiyah (LAZISMU) Kota Medan”. Bertujuan untuk mengetahui sistem pemberdayaan dana zakat dan prosedur pengelolaan dana zakat dalam memberdayakan UMKM yang dilakukan oleh LAZISMU. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, yaitu berupa kata- kata tertulis atau lisan dari orang- orang dan pelaku yang dapat diamati. Data ini diperoleh dari studi pustaka, wawancara dan observasi untuk mengetahui sistem pemberdayaan dana zakat dan prosedur pengelolaan dana zakat oleh LAZISMU. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu sistem pemberdayaan dana zakat yang dilakukan oleh LAZISMU adalah dengan cara: 1). Sistem pemberdayaan dana zakat konsumtif, yaitu dengan cara pemberian sembako dan hal- hal yang habis habis pakai, 2). Sistem pemberdayaan dana zakat produktif, yaitu zakat yang diwujudkan dalam pemberian modal, 3). Sistem pengumpulan dana zakat secara online, yaitu penghimpunannya menggunakan media sosial seperti Instagram, Facbook, Twitter dan Youtobe, 4). Sistem pengumpulan dana zakat secara offline, yaitu penghimpunannya dengan cara membuat donatur tetap kepada para muzaki.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) remains a major public health concern in tropical regions such as Indonesia, where environmental and behavioural factors play crucial roles in its transmission. This study aimed to analyse the factors associated with the incidence of DHF in the working area of the Belawan II Community Health Centre in Medan. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was employed. A sample of 110 housewives was selected via purposive sampling from a population of 150 housewives in the area. Data were collected through questionnaires and observation, then analysed using univariate, bivariate (Chi-Square test), and multivariate (logistic regression) methods. Bivariate analysis revealed significant associations between DHF incidence and the following factors: education level (p=0.001), housewives' knowledge (p=0.000), 3M Plus behaviour (p=0.000), health promotion services (p=0.000), and the presence of mosquito larvae (p=0.000). In contrast, variables for age (p=0.161) and occupation (p=0.898) showed no significant association. Multivariate analysis identified health promotion services as the dominant factor associated with DHF incidence (OR=0.029; 95% CI=0.010-0.084; p=0.000), with housewives' knowledge serving as a supporting factor. In conclusion, DHF prevention efforts in the Belawan II area should prioritise enhancing the quality and coverage of effective health promotion services, complemented by improving household-level knowledge and preventive practices, alongside sustainable control of mosquito breeding sites.
