This study tried to investigate the correlation between studentsâ learning strategy and studentsâ English achievement to the eighth-grade students of SMPN H. Wukirsari. There were two problems which discussed in this study. First was there any correlation between studentsâ learning strategy and studentsâ English achievement to the eighth-grade students of SMPN H. Wukirsari? Second, what was the percentage of Studentsâ Learning Strategy? The objectives of this study were to find out the percentages of studentsâ learning strategy and to find out the correlation between studentsâ learning strategy and studentsâ English achievement to the eighth-grade students of SMPN H. Wukirsai. The method used in this study was correlation research. The population of this study was all of the eighth-grade students of SMPN H. Wukirsari in the academic year 2015/2016. The total number of population was 182 students which were distributed into six classes. There were 28 students treated as the sample of the study. The sample was taken through random sampling. In collecting the data of studentsâ learning strategy, the writer used questionnaire by strategy inventory for language learning and in collecting the data of studentsâ English achievement, the writer used studentsâ report score. Then, the technique for analyzing the data, the writer used Spearman Rank Correlation to find out the correlation between studentsâ learning strategy and studentsâ English achievement. Based on the findings, the result of the calculation correlation between studentsâ learning strategy and studentsâ English achievement was 0.542, whereas the coefficient of correlation was 0.318 (robtained > rtable ). So the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, it means that there was a correlation between studentsâ learning strategy and studentsâ English achievement to the eighth-grade students of SMPN H. Wuirsari in the academic year of 2015/2016. Finally, the aim of this article was to clarify on studentsâ learning strategy and studentsâ English achievement.

the aimed of this research was to describe how many word students able wrote English vocabulary in short time and to describe the students’ difficulties in mastery English vocabulary. This research designed in qualitative descriptive method, the data collected through written test and unstructured interview by using Focus Group Discussion. The subject of this research was twenty students grade two of Bahasa Indonesia Study Program at STKIP PGRI Lubuklinggau. The results showed: in the writing English vocabulary test in three type Noun, verb and Adjective, students able to wrote avarage10 word in each part and the students’ difficulties such as: Students seldom reading English text so their vocabulary mastery very low, Students has low ability to remember new English word caused of never practiced in the daily life and students confuse in using irregular word in arrange the sentence both writing and speaking.

The problem of this study was “Is it significantly effective to teach reading comprehension by using Creative Thinking Reading Activities (CTRA) to the Eleventh Grade Students of SMA Negeri 8 Lubuklinggau in the academic year of 2013/2014?”. The objective of this study was to find out whether or not it was significantly effective to teach reading comprehension by using Creative Thinking Reading Activities (CTRA) to the Eleventh Grade Students of SMA Negeri 8 Lubuklinggau in the academic year of 2013/2014. In this study, the writer proposed two hypotheses. They were Nul Hypotheses (Ho) and Alternative Hypotheses (Ha). The method applied was pre-experimental method with one group pre-test post-test design. The sample was taken through cluster random sampling. The number of the sample was 28 students. The data were collected by using test consisting of 20 items of multiple choices. The data obtained were analyzed through three techniques: 1) Individual Score, 2) Minimum Mastery Criteria, and 3) Matched t-test. The results of this study: (1) The mean students’ score in the pre-test was 58.03, (2) The mean score of post-test was 70.17, and (3) the result of matched t-test was 7.05, which was higher than 1.701 of the ttable of 28 with 95% significant level for one tailed-test. Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted.

This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of teaching preposition by using Scavenger Hunt Game to the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 11 Lubuklinggau in academic year 2019/2020. There are two hypothesis in this research, the null hypothesis (Ho) which stated that it is not effective to teach preposition by using Scavenger Hunt Game to the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 11 Lubuklinggau and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) which stated that it is effective to teach preposition by using Scavenger Hunt Game to the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 11 Lubuklinggau. The pre-experimental method was applied in this research. There were 28 students treated as the sample of the research taken from class VIII.3 by using cluster random sampling. The data was collected by writing test. Moreover, the writer used SPSS 20 to analyzed the data. The data from the test was analyzed through individual score, comparison for Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC), and used ready match t-test. From the data analyse, the writer found out that there was different between the students’ score before and after the treatment. The average score of pre-test was 47.68 and for the post-test was 75.89. Moreover, the result of match t-test was higher than the coefficients of t-table. The result of match t-test was 18.488 whereas the coefficients critical value of t-table was 1.703 for significant level 0.05 for df 27. It means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. In other word, it was significantly effective to teach preposition by using Scavenger Hunt Game to the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 11 Lubuklinggau in academic year 2019/2020.

The objective of this study was to find out whether or not it was significantly effective to use Inquiry Based Learning in teaching reading to first semester of English Education Program . In this study, the writer proposed two hypotheses. They were null hypothesis Ho and alternative hypothesis Ha. The method applied was pre experimental with one group pre test posttest design. The population of this study was all of first semester of English Education Program which consisted of 45 students. The sample was taken through cluster random sampling. Which consisted of 20 students. The data were collected by means of test consisting 20 items of multiple choices. The data obtained were analyzed through three techniques 1 Individual Score, and 2 Matched t test. The results of this study shows that the students mean score in the pre-test was 60.13 and those in the post-test was 75.25. The result of matched t test was 5.25, which was higher than t table value 1.725 of 20 with 95 percent significant level for one tailed test. Therefore, the null hypothesis Ho was rejected and the alternative hypothesis Ha was accepted. It means that it was significantly effective to use Based Learning Approach in teaching reading to first semester of English Education Program Keyword: Teaching Reading, Using Inquiry Based Learning Approach.

The objective of this investigation was to investigate students errors in writing recount text made by the eleventh grade students of social program Senior High School Number 1 and Senior High School Number 2 Muara Beliti in academic year 2016/2017. The method applied in this investigation was descriptive method. The subject of the investigation was all the eleventh grade students of social program Senior High School Number 1 and Senior High School Number 2 Muara Beliti. The number of the sample was 30 that consist of five students each class and each school. To get the data, the writer used essay test. The test given was an intruction to compose a paragraph in 150 words. Based on the finding of data analysis from the test. The majority errors done by the Eleventh Grade of Social Program Students of Senior High School Number 1Muara Beliti was Verb (55.36 percent) total errors was 62. Punctuation and spelling (4.46 percent) total errors was 5. Preposition (5,35 percent) total errors 6. Pronoun (34.83 percent) total errors was39.The majority errors donethe Eleventh of social program Grade Students of Senior High School Number 2 Muara Beliti wasVerb (61.67 percent) total errors was 37. Punctuation and spelling (1.66 percent) total errors was 1. Preposition (1.66 percent) total errors was1. Pronoun (35.01 percent) total errors was21. In conclusion, The students did such errors because the students translated directly from Indonesian language into English. Therefore, they forgot to use the correct pattern of a sentence that consist subject, verb, and object. Keywords: Writing, Errors, Tenses Analysis, Recount Text.

This current study is aimed to investigate EFL teachers perception on postmethod pedagogy proposed by Kumaravadivelu. To achieve the aim, the research method used here is a qualitative case study with nine doctoral students from various universities in Indonesia. The data collection tools are a questionnaire and structured interview. The result revealed that most of the EFL lecturers have already implemented postmethod pedagogy perspective divided into four parts: teaching interaction, teaching strategy, teaching objective, and teaching content although they were not aware yet about the concept. It was indicated that they theorized what they do and did what they theorize. For further researchers, postmethod pedagogy should be investigated in real condition of teaching and learning process and the effect of this pedagogy on students learning achievement so that it will be clearly found whether or not this pedagogy perspective is appropriate to be implemented in higher education in Indonesian context. The purpose of this research was to develope and validate the suplementary speaking material in digital media for accounting students of SMK Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau. This research used Research and Development Method by applying Borg and Gall Model. There were ten steps, they are (1) research and information collecting (2) planning (3) developing preliminary form of product (4) preliminary field testing (5) main product revision (6) field testing (7) operational product revision (8) operational field testing (9) final product (10) dissemination and implementation.. The subjects were the Accounting students of eleventh grade in academic year 2020/2021. While, for step 6, 8 and 10 were applied by using Google Classroom application in English group of XI Accounting Program. The data showed that there were some problem faced by the students aespecially in finding a speaking book which concerning to accounting program. The teacher also need a book that can help English speaking skill not only for general English. After following the ten steps in R&D method, started from analyzing, evaluating, revising and trying out, it was concluded that the suplementary speaking material in digital media for accounting students can help them in learning English based on their need. This study aims to develop listening material for tenth graders. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D). The results of this study indicate that the development of listening material is valid, practical and effective in the teaching and learning process. The product developed was declared valid after being evaluated by three experts with an average score of 3.86 in the "high" category. This product is also practical by evaluating listening material for students with an average score of 4.10 with "high practicality" and effective with an evaluation with 83.33 students in the "high" category. In conclusion, the listening material developed for tenth-grade students of Islamic Senior High School 2 Lubuklinggau is valid, practical and effective categories. The aim sof this research are describing the students’ reading strategies in mastering English between Senior High Schools at Muara Rupit and describing the students’ reading comprehension in mastering English between SMA Negeri 1 Muara Rupit and SMA Plus Bina Satria. The researchers applied descriptive qualitative method. The subject of the research are 60 students from SMA Negeri 1 Muara Rupit of class X and XI and 60 students from SMA Plus Bina Satria of class X and XI in the academic year of 2015/2016. The data collected through questionnaire. Based on the research result, it could be concluded that both of the students at SMA Negeri 1 Muara Rupit and SMA Plus Bina Satria mayority used prior knowledge to think about the topic before reading, made predictions about the probable meaning of the text before reading, previewed the text by skimming and scanning to get a sense of the overall meaning before reading, Monitor understanding by questioning the ideas and information in the text during reading, Monitor understanding by thinking about the ideas and information in the text during reading, Monitor understanding by reflecting the ideas and information in the text during reading, Reflected upon the ideas and information in the text after reading, related what they have read to their own experiences and knowledge after reading, carified their understanding of the text after reading, Extended their understanding in critical and creative ways after reading.
