Restorasi ekologi pada dasarnya merupakan tindakan silvikultur melalui rekayasa lingkungan, mulai dari penelusuran tapak hingga diketahui tabiat upaya-upaya pemulihannya. Pulih kembalinya kawasan mangrove seperti sediakala sebelum terdegradasi, menjamin kembali pulihnya habitat bagi kehidupan satwa liar. Hal ini dilakukan melalui pemulihan kualitas lingkungan, melalui: (a) Penilaian kawasan mangrove, (b) Peningkatan kualitas habitat, (c) Peningkatan kualitas kawasan hijau, dan (d) Pemberdayaan masyarakat di sekitar kawasan mangrove. Kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah (1) Pembuatan bibit mangrove, (2) Penanaman dan penyulaman bibit mangrove, (3) Pemberdayaan masyarakat, dan (4) Pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat pesisir. Perlu penyadaran kepada masyarakat akan pentingnya pelestarian kawasan mangrove guna menjamin keberlanjutan ekologi pantai.Kata kunci : Mangrove, Konservasi, Pesisir, Pemberdayaan.

Abstract

Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk merancang strategi pengembangan wisata kesehatan yang mengkombinasikan aspek sosial, ekologi dan ekonomi dalam pengembangankepariwisataan di kawasan Pulau Giliyang, Kabupaten Sumenep. Untuk mencapai tujuan ini, terdapat beberapamasalah yang nampak di dalam menerapkan strategi kawasan wisata kesehatan yaitu lemahnya institusi pariwisatadan sumberdaya manusia, kurangnya tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dan belum optimalnya penggunaan lahan.Metodologi yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah melalui diskusi kelompok fokus, analisis kebutuhan seluruhpemangku kepentingan, dan mengembangkan pendekatan sistem melalui kuesioner dan wawancara mendalamdengan semua pemangku kepentingan, misalnya institusi pemerintah dan dengan teknik prospektif. Hasilpelaksanaan kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa beberapa kriteria seperti konservasi dan pemeliharaan, dampak negatifminimum, dan kenyaman pengunjung menunjukkan nilai positif. Sedangkan kriteria pada pengaruh terhadapperekonomian lokal dan pemberdayaan masyarakat menunjukkan nilai negatif. Fenomena ini terjadi karena zonasiwisata masih baru. Sehingga masih dibutuhkan cara yang strategis untuk mencapai pengembangan pariwisata yangberkelanjutan.

Abstract

Ecotourism is a form of tourism that is closely linked to the principle of conservation. Thus, ecotourism is right and beneficial in maintaining the integrity and authenticity of ecosystems in natural areas, particularly turtle conservation areas. Ecotourism is synergized to turtle conservation as it has such features: (1) Conservation, the use of biodiversity does not damage the natural source, also it does not cause negative impact whereas it is very environmentally friendly, (2) Education, by improving community’s awareness and changing their behavior about the need for conservation of living natural resources and their conservation, (3) Economy, ecotourism provides economic benefits and spur regional development; and (4) Active role of community, this is done by building partnership with local communities for the development of ecotourism. Based on the issues, “IbW Conservation and Ecotourism Ngadirojo  District Pacitan Region” was done by (1) Making a model of tourism activities that is environmentally, ecologically, socially, and economically beneficial to local communities and to the sustainability of natural resources, (2) Assessing the object of tourist attraction in flora and fauna conservation areas, in this case sea turtles and their ecosystems, so that can synergize with ecotourism activities, and (3) Making a model of local community-based tourist institution. The method implemented to achieve the objectives was “Community Empowerment through Ecotourism” which is described as follow: (1) Land Conservation, value and travel product, (2) Creation of an ecotourism atmosphere that all people who live in the area will gain the benefit, (3) The development of tourism activities that carry the excellence of the physical, economic, socio-cultural aspects of the local, (4) The solid image of ecotourism activities in the region that is supported by the readiness of all stakeholders, and (5) Integration of turtle theme conservation and ecotourism area with other supporting tourism products in the Regency. Pacitan Construction of facilities that have been carried out are: (1) developing the forest of eternity, (2) ecological restoration of coastal forests, (3) making sea water wells for turtle ponds, (4) nursery of coastal forest vegetation, (5) construction of marine biota ponds and sanitation facilities, (6) construction of shelters and gazebos, (7) construction of parking lot, and (8) widening of the ecotourism ring road. The next stage plans are: (1) ecotourism community empowerment, (2) strengthening the ecotourism area, and (3) revitalization of marine biota ponds.

Abstract

Ikan tergolong bahan pangan yang cepat mengalami pembusukan dibandingkan dengan jenis makanan lain akibat bakteri dan perubahan kimiawi. Karena ikan tergolong bahan pangan mudah busuk, perlu dilakukan penanganan dan pengolahan hasil perikanan secara baik. Salah satu proses pengolahannya adalah menjadi abon ikan. Salah satu tahapan penting dalam pembuatan abon ikan adalah penggorengan yang membuat produk pangan lebih lezat, prosesnya cepat, dan menjaga produk pangan lebih baik. Contoh teknlogi penggorengan adalah deep fat frying yang merupakan proses di mana produk makanan dipanaskan dan dikeringkan dengan merendamnya di dalam minyak goreng, umumnya pada suhu 170?190oC, sebagai penghantar panas selama periode waktu tertentu. Desain penelitian yang dilakukan adalah: (1) Rancang bangun alat deep fat frying suhu terkontrol dilengkapi dengan automatic fish floss, (2) Analisis kadar air produk abon ikan laut, (3) Analisis kadar minyak produk abon ikan laut, dan (4) Uji organoleptik produk abon ikan. Hasil akhir dari kegiatan penelitian ini adalah (1) dihasilkannya alat deep fat frying yang akan diterapkan pada industri mitra, dan (2) didapatkannya suatu formulasi tepat dalam pembuatan abon ikan laut berdasarkan parameter input yang telah ditentukan.

Abstract

Ngenep Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency has the potential of natural resources in the form of a large enough water source. This water source is named Sumber Nyolo, Sumber Nyolo is used by society for daily needs and it’s used for irrigating agricultural land, besides Ngenep Village there are four other villages from Singosari District that use it. In addition to use for daily needs and irrigation, currently the Sumber Nyolo area is starting to be developed into a tourist destination, tourism management is carried out by community groups who are members of the Sumber Nyolo Pokdarwis (Tourism Cognizant Group). The management pattern carried out by Pokdarwis is still relatively simple, besides that the quality varies. As a result of this, it affects the quality of natural resources and the cleanliness of the area. Based on the various explanations that have been explained, the problems in the Sumbernyolo area, Ngenep Village, Karangploso District, Malang Regency that urgently need a solution are as follows: (1) How to develop active participation of the surrounding community and Pokdarwis Sumbernyolo towards the development of educational tourism and conservation of the Sumbernyolo area? (2) How to prevent forest quality degradation? (3) How to utilize water resources through a wise use pattern? (4) How to organize and develop conservation areas and educational tourism in Sumbernyolo? The method of activities carried out is through an inventory of tourism potential, then a strategy for developing tourism destination areas (DTW) is carried out. For further socialization to the main tourism actors, namely Pokdarwis and the surrounding community who are involved about the direction of development of Sumbernyolo tourism. After the socialization, it was followed by improving tourism infrastructure and supporting elements such as empowering the surrounding community. The process will always be monitored and overall periodically. The results of the activities carried out consist of two aspects, namely the conservation of water sources and forests and the development of educational tourism facilities. The conclusion of this activity is that by carrying out this service activity, a direction for developing Sumber Nyolo tourism is formed towards conservation tourism and educational tourism areas.

Abstract

One of mining materials transport units is a 550 horse power prime mover truck. The prime mover truck functions as the main power source of trailer unit. This research was motivated by unexpected failures of 550 horsepower prime mover truck which operating on extreme mining environments, and unreachable component lifetime also delays of part supply, which contributed to increased downtime. The research purposes are to improve and develop the best maintenance system by identifying critical components, determining reliability values, determine maintenance intervals, and ensuring spare parts availability. The research was conducted using the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method, with independent variables are failure frequency data and failure duration data. The results identified five critical components, air piping and hose, fast fuel filler, radiator components, radiator hose, and wheel stud and nut. Maintenance intervals were determined when the reliability value approached 0.6, with the air piping and hose component reaching 1750 hours of operation or every 97 days, the fast fuel filler component reaching 1,250 hours or every 69 days, the radiator and reservoir tank component reaching 2250 hours or every 125 days, the radiator hose and line component reaching 2750 hours or every 152 days, and the wheel stud and nut component of 3000 hours or every 166 days.

Abstract

One of the coal mining activities is to move coal from pit to rom using transport equipment, namely dump trucks. In the case study in the field, the dump truck used is FMX 440 with a capacity of 30 tonnes which operates for 18 hours/day. The obstacles or problems encountered during operations include damage and disruption to the dump truck unit system, which can interfere with the mining process and result in a reduction in the amount of coal production targeted by the landowner. Therefore, other methods are needed so that maintenance can be planned and carried out properly. This research aims to find critical components, and maintenance intervals on dump trucks. This research uses the reliability centreed maintenance (RCM) method. The results obtained are critical components, MTBF and MTTR values are cooling system 5,011.96 hours and 1.44 hours, transmission (T / M) system 14,446.24 hours and 2.75 hours, hydraulic oil hose and piping 22,326 hours and 10.54 hours, and air piping and hose 17,541.86 hours and 4.86 hours. From the calculation of the reliability value of critical components, the maintenance time interval for each component is obtained, namely the cooling system is carried out maintenance after 138 operating days, the transmission (T / M) system is carried out maintenance after 416 operating days, hyd. oil hose & piping is carried out maintenance after 638 operating days, and air piping & hose after 500 operating days.

Abstract

Dusun Nongkosongo merupakan bagian dari Desa Wringinsongo yang memiliki wilayah subur. Mayoritas pekerjaan masyarakat adalah petani dan juga peternak sapi perah. Permasalahan yang ada di Desa Wringinsongo adalah kurangnya kesadaran dan pengetahuan warga untuk memilah sampah. Sedangkan di desa tersebut sudah terdapat bank sampah, namun dari data bank sampah, hanya ada 4 kepala keluarga yang menjadi nasabah bank sampah. Metode pelatihan ini yang pertama survey lokasi, kedua koordinasi dengan Kepala Dusun Nongkosongo, ketiga pendataan informasi dan Survey ke Bank Sampah tentang jumlah nasabah sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan, keempat persiapan alat, bahan dan reward, kelima pelatihan pemilahan sampah anorganik kepada warga dan pengisian kuesioner, keenam penyerahan reward, dan ketujuh evaluasi kegiatan. Tujuan pelatihan ini yang pertama adalah meningkatkan jumlah nasabah bank sampah di Desa Wringinsongo khususnya dusun Nongkosongo. Yang kedua pemberian reward bagi warga yang telah menjadi nasabah bank sampah dengan 3 pengumpul sampah terbanyak. Hasil yang pertama adalah peningkatan nasabah bank sampah yang semula 4 KK menjadi 32 KK dari tahun 2023 sampai 2024. Yang kedua, tim PPM Polinema telah memberikan reward juara 1, 2 dan 3 kepada nasabah bank sampah yang telah mengumpulkan serta menyetorkan sampah anorganik terbanyak ke bank sampah, selain itu pemberian reward pengurus bank sampah sebanyak 3 orang sebagai dedikasinya dalam mengurus bank sampah. Langkah selanjutnya tim PPM Polinema akan mengadakan pelatihan kembali dengan tujuan memberi edukasi berkelanjutan, memantau keaktifan nasabah bank sampah sehingga nasabah bank sampah semakin bertambah

Abstract

Tourism development is an effort to create added value in all aspects of the tourism sector, starting from facilities and infrastructure, tourist objects and attractions, and other aspects. One of the tourism developments is the Lembung Mangrove Ecotourism in Lembung Village, Galis District, Pamekasan Regency. The problem with developing Lembung Mangrove Ecotourism in Lembung Village is that it has not properly accommodated visitor needs, such as the existence of good tourist facilities. Based on this, it is necessary to develop sustainable ecotourism. The aim of this community service (CS) is to develop Lembung Mangrove Ecotourism facilities in Lembung Village so that the local economy and community empowerment increase. The types of facilities and infrastructure developed by the CS Polinema team for the community partnership scheme at CS locations are in the form of science and technology diffusion of appropriate technological equipment, namely: deep fat frying machine. The PPM results are then awarded to Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) “Sabuk Hijau”.

Abstract

Briquettes are a form of solid fuel that is produced using waste from the agricultural, industrial and household sectors. For example, briquettes can be produced from biomass waste such as rice straw and corn cobs, which are potential resources that can be utilized to produce bioenergy in the form of briquettes. This study aims to develop and test the characteristics of biomass briquettes in order to evaluate the quality of the biochar briquettes and the calorific value they produce. The method used in this study was experimental, in which the adhesive and the composition of the mixed ingredients were varied as independent variables to affect the quality of the briquettes, while the moisture content, ash content, burning rate,put birds, calorific value is used as the dependent variable. In this study, the results obtained for water content ≤ 5%, volatile matter ≤ 10%, calorific value ≤ 6.553 cal/g, and a burning rate of 0.17 gram/minute which is expected according to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 01 6235 2000, namely the water content ≤ 8%, volatille matter ≤ 10%, calorific value ≤ 5,000 cal/g. The results of this study indicate that the biomass briquettes can meet the established quality standards, with appropriate moisture, ash and volatile matter content. In addition, the resulting calorific value also reaches the desired figure, indicating the potential of biomass briquettes as an efficient alternative fuel. The combustion rates found in this study also indicate that the biomass briquettes have characteristics that allow stable and effective combustion. Thus, this research succeeded in developing and testing the characteristics of biomass briquettes as an alternative fuel. The results of this study can contribute to the development of renewable energy sources and efficient use of biomass waste, as well as promote efforts to mitigate the negative impacts of the conventional energy sector on the environment.
