Abstract

The disputes resolution in the sharia financial institution gives opportunity and challenge for the Religious Court. Society tends to use ash-shulh by conducting deliberation in solving every dispute. This dispute resolution is taken because of the given legal freedom for society. Its purpose is to analyze the information on opportunities and challenges of the Religious Court as the judicial institution that has absolute authority in solving sharia economic disputes. This is qualitative research by studying secondary data and doing online and offline interviews with the informant. The Religious Court also plays a role in solving the disputes in the sharia microfinance institutions which generally choose the alternative way in disputes resolution by doing the negotiation. The study reveals that the sharia microfinance institutions depend on alternative ways in their dispute resolution such as negotiation and mediation by involving religious figures like Kyai. Madura society puts their trust in the religious figures more than the official institutions appointed in the Supreme Court Regulation No. 1 of 2016 concerning the Mediation in Court. However, the disputes resolution taken by society with the involvement of Kyai, is still based on the decree of the Religious Court in solving sharia disputes as a legal reference and a procedure taken by the judges.

Abstract

The identification of the Madurese local concept, Bhuppa’-Bhâbhu’-Ghuru-Rato, is a part of the conflict resolution instrument based on social construction theory. This concept serves as a strong foundation underlying the social relationships and moral structure of the Madurese community, which remains deeply rooted in various aspects of daily life. This research aims to analyze the significant role of the socio-cultural value system of the Madurese community in shaping the behavioral compliance of Madurese families. The research is qualitative in nature, relying on both primary and secondary data. Primary data is obtained from field studies, including direct observations and mapping of research aspects. The research findings indicate that there has been controversy in the interpretation of threats related to social inequality, economic family issues, and the pandemic already experienced. This interpretational controversy has been caused by differences in understanding, conflicting interests, and varying traditions or practices. Differences in understanding are evident from the varying levels of comprehension between groups in the community, which also highlights differences in literacy levels when interpreting these issues. The four important elements of Bhuppa’-Bhâbhu’-Ghuru-Rato play a vital role in controlling and providing guidance through families to enhance compliance. These elements are actualized in daily praxis as binding normative rules.

Abstract

Fintech lending in Indonesia is experiencing rapid growth, but there are significant variations in growth dynamics between Java, outside Java, and overseas segments. This study aims to explore and project the growth patterns of Islamic and conventional fintech using spatial-temporal analysis. Quantitative research methods were applied with data analysis of the number of lender accounts and funds disbursed from January 2022 to May 2024. Results show that Java experienced market consolidation with an increase in disbursed funds, while outside Java showed moderate growth, and the overseas segment experienced high fluctuations but with significant expansion potential. Policy implications include the need for increased penetration outside Java, development of a cross-border regulatory framework, and incentives for fintech innovation. The findings highlight the importance of diversified policies to support inclusive growth and stability of the national financial system.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Green Innovation Strategic Orientation (GISO) and Digital Technology Implementation (DTI) on Green Competitive Advantage (GCA) in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Madura, focusing on the mediating role of Green Information Proactiveness, Transparency, and Formality. The study aims to address the challenges faced by MSMEs in adopting green innovation and digital technologies, particularly in Sampang and Sumenep, where digital literacy and environmental transparency remain low. A quantitative approach was employed, using a structured questionnaire distributed to 493 MSME managers in Sampang and Sumenep. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software to assess direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The findings indicate that both GISO and DTI significantly enhance GCA, with Green Information Proactiveness, Transparency, and Formality mediating these relationships. This study contributes to understanding how the integration of green strategies and digital technology can strengthen MSMEs’ competitive advantage while addressing gaps in the literature on green information management. By integrating three dimensions of green information as mediators, this research provides a more comprehensive understanding of GISO and DTI’s contribution to GCA in MSMEs. This approach is particularly relevant for MSMEs in regions with limited access to advanced technology and green information systems. The study offers practical implications for policymakers and MSME managers by emphasizing the importance of fostering green innovation and digital transformation. Future research is recommended to explore the role of external stakeholders and more advanced technologies in further enhancing sustainable competitiveness.

Abstract

This study examines Islamic Philanthropic practices (Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah) within a transnational context that has received limited scholarly attention, particularly among migrant workers. Legal issues arise from regulatory misalignment between Indonesia and Malaysia in Zakat governance, which affects the practice of religious obligations. The objective of this study is to introduce the concept of social delegitimation in relation to transnational religious obligations and to understand the process through which Madurese migrants in Malaysia fulfil Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah (ZIS). This research adopts an empirical study using anthropological and comparative approaches and applies Kenneth L. Pike's emic and etic perspectives. The findings indicate that the fulfilment of ZIS takes place through continuous negotiation within conditions of transnational uncertainty. Regulatory misalignment contributes to the social delegitimation of formal zakat institution in Malaysia, leading migrants to prefer channeling their ZIS through networks of kiai (religious scholars) and community groups in their hometowns, which are perceived to guarantee emotional proximity, blessing (barakah), and spiritual accountability. Accordingly, this study demonstrates that religious authority and the legitimacy of Islamic philanthropy in diaspora contexts are shaped more by social relations and transnational resilience strategies than by mere state legal frameworks.

Abstract

The transition from the traditional era to the digital era has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including the transaction system. Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School, as one of the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, has adopted technological innovations in the form of an electronic payment system known as E-Bekal. This study aims to analyze the benefits, influences, and challenges in the implementation of E-Provision on the lives of students in the pesantren. The research method used is a qualitative approach with literature study techniques. The results of the study show that E-Bekal makes a significant contribution to transaction efficiency, student financial management, and control of consumptive behavior, with an influence of 83.7% on students' buying interest. In addition, this system helps guardians of students in monitoring their children's finances more transparently. However, several obstacles were identified, such as the limitation of the use of cards outside the pesantren, dependence on internet access, and lack of understanding of technology among users. This research recommends the development of the E-Bekal system to be more flexible, improving technological infrastructure, and educating users to optimize its benefits. With these steps, E-Bekal is expected to be a sustainable innovative solution in supporting the modernization of Islamic boarding schools in the digital era.

Abstract

Technological developments are increasingly sophisticated. Likewise, sophistication is developing in vehicle parts. What were originally fuel-powered vehicles have now been modernized with electric vehicles that only rely on electricity as a charger. Therefore, researchers aim to find out the factors that influence the interest in buying electric bicycles among the people of Paiton. This research uses quantitative methods. The population in this research is the Paiton community who own electric bicycles. In this research, the sampling method used is the simple random sampling method. The simple random sampling method (Simple Random Sampling) is a sampling technique that is completely based on providing equal opportunities to the entire population (Bambang Sugeng, 2022). This research uses the Lemeshow formula, because the sample population is unknown. This research used a sample of 96 respondents. In accordance with calculations using the Lemeshow formula. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS software. The research results show that taste, price and income do not influence people's interest in buying electric bicycles.
