Abstract

The RISHA innovation (Simple Healthy Instant House) is a variation of precast concrete created by the Center for Research and Development (Puslitbang) for Settlements, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, which was released on December 20 2004. The aim of this research is to determine the comparison of building construction with technology. RISHA concrete and conventional concrete from the aspect of calculating project costs and calculating project duration. The approach in this research uses a type of research in the form of a literature study or literature study. The results of research comparing building construction using RISHA concrete technology and conventional concrete showed that the average cost difference was 7.96%, and the average difference in duration was 30.10%, superior to RISHA concrete technology.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Galang Kangin Traditional Village through two focus activities, namely mentoring the management of the Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMDA) and the preparation of the Detail Engineering Design (DED) for the construction of the Sanur Kaja Traditional Village Head Office. The main problems of the partners include limited institutional infrastructure, the absence of technical development documents, and weak organizational governance of the BUMDA. The implementation method includes field surveys, technical design, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), organizational management training, and simulation of office construction financing. The results of the activity show the preparation of a complete DED document and increased competence of BUMDA administrators in organizational and financial governance based on local potential. This program is an example of collaboration between academics and indigenous communities in realizing adaptive, professional, and sustainable institutional governance.

Abstract

Wood material is a construction material that has its own appeal from an aesthetic and architectural point of view, however wood material has various limitations, namely in terms of durability and structural strength when compared to structural materials such as concrete and steel. This research examines the structural behavior of residential houses using glulam wood materials using program analysis software ETABS.  From the results of initial design calculations, the dimensions of the structural elements were obtained, namely beams measuring 25 cm x 40 cm and columns measuring 30 cm x 30 cm. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it shows that the house structure has met earthquake resistance requirements with maximum inter-story drift of 24.35 mm (below the 26.92 mm limit). The dynamic analysis shows successful mass participation with total mass participation ratios exceeding 90% in all primary directions: 99.11% for translational motion in X-direction (UX), 99.29% for translational motion in Y-direction (UY), and 99.51% for rotational motion about vertical axis (RZ). These results indicate that the structural model adequately captures both lateral and torsional responses of the building under seismic loading.

Abstract

This study explores the optimization of bamboo shelter design for emergency housing by integrating technical, implementation, and sustainability aspects in Karangasem Regency, Bali. Using a literature review approach combined with comparative and evaluative analysis, the research examines the structural properties of bamboo compared to conventional materials, assesses joint systems, and evaluates the proposed shelter design from a sustainability perspective. The findings highlight bamboo’s key advantages, including rapid construction time (approximately one week per unit) and cost efficiency (Rp1,500,000–Rp4,500,000 per shelter). The proposed design results in a low carbon footprint of 22 kg CO2/year/m2 and demonstrates a CO2 absorption capacity of 3,260 kg/year. Sustainability assessment indicates strong performance in technical reliability (score 4) and shelter habitability (score 4), moderate results in CO2 emission mitigation and affordability (score 3), and room for improvement in material efficiency (score 2) and tree protection (score 1). This research provides a foundation for developing sustainable bamboo shelters that balance structural performance, environmental impact, and socio-economic feasibility in post-disaster contexts.
