Abstract

Pelatihan Bahasa Inggris dasar ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris dasar bagi karyawan yang ada di Toko Hookah. Toko Hookah merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pariwisata dan memerlukan karyawan yang bisa menguasai Bahasa Inggris dengan baik. Peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan yaitu para staff dan pegawai yang ada di Toko Hookah. Pelatihan bahasa Inggris yang dilaksanakan di Toko Hookah ini akan dilaksanakan selama empat bulan. Pelatihan Bahasa Inggris ini merupakan kerja sama antara Prodi Bahasa Inggris Universitas Bali Dwipa dengan Toko Hookah. Setelah pelaksanaan pelatihan Bahasa Inggris, karyawan dan staff Toko Hookah diharapkan bisa melakukan percakapan langsung dengan konsumen di dunia kerja. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini yaitu metode persuasive yang diterapkan dalam dalam melakukan pelatihan bahasa Inggris dengan karyawan dan staff Toko Hookah. Penelitian kualitatif merupakan jenis penelitian dengan memberikan penjelasan tentang kegiatan yang dilakukan selama pelatihan Bahasa Inggris antara karyawan dan dosen. Teknik observasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu teknik yang dilakukan oleh penulis dalam mengumpulkan data pelatihan bahasa Inggris dengan karyawan dan staff Toko Hookah. Setelah diberikan pelatihan percakapan Bahasa Inggris, karyawan Toko Hookah melakukan percakapan bahasa Inggris langsung dengan para pengajar dan wisatawan asing yang datang ke Toko Hookah.Hal tersebut bertujuan untuk mempraktekkan dan meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris karyawan tersebut. Ketika melakukan percakapan Bahasa Inggris dengan wisatawan asing, karyawan didampingi oleh pengajar untuk melihat secara langsung perkembangan peserta pengabmas tersebut.  Kemampuan karyawan dalam melakukan percakapan Bahasa Inggris ini meningkat setelah mengikuti pelatihan percakapan Bahasa Inggris dengan wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Toko Hookah.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris mahasiswa khususnya TOEFL yang kegiatannya dilaksanakan di kampus Jurusan Keperawatan yang. Penguasaan Bahasa Inggris terutama English TOEFL memiliki peranan yang sangat penting karena sertifikat TOEFL bisa digunakan untuk melamar kerja maupun digunakan sebagai syarat untuk bisa diterima di perguruan tinggi negeri. Pelatihan TOEFL Bahasa Inggris ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris TOEFL mahasiswa jurusan keperawatan. Metode Communicative Language Teaching in Secondary Level merupakan metode pengajaran yang digunakan dalam pelatihan Bahasa Inggris TOEFL. Pelatihan TOEFL Bahasa Inggris merupakan pelatihan yang diadakan berkat kerjasama antara Prodi Bahasa Inggris Universitas Bali Dwipa dan jurusan keperawatan. Pelatihan TOEFL ini dilaksanakan secara offline sebelum pandemi untuk mendapatkan hasil kegiatan pembelajaran yang optimal. Para peserta pelatihan Bahasa Inggris TOEFL ini nampak sangat antusias dan aktif untuk mengikuti pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris TOEFL yang meliputi listening, structure and written expression, reading. Peserta pengabmas diberikan beberapa topik pelatihan tentang tenses TOEFL meliputi listening, reading dan written and structure expression. Peserta pelatihan TOEFL Bahasa Inggris ini juga melakukan latihan–latihan soal TOEFL dengan yang didampingi oleh pengajar sehingga pengajar bisa memantau langsung terhadap proses perkembangan peserta didiknya.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the scope of higher education and to see how important the role of artificial intelligence (AI) is in solving problems in the university environment. The research will involve surveys and interviews with individuals who have experience in the application of AI in college. This research will also use the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) method as a direction in making a question survey that will be disseminated to respondents. The goal of this study is to provide a better understanding of how quickly and effectively AI can solve problems in a college environment. This study will use qualitative and quantitative approaches, where the results of the research will be explained qualitatively through interviews and quantitatively through statistical analysis of Simple Linear Regression from the results of the respondents.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how optimal the application of the crossword puzzle method is to the results of English vocabulary mastery training for LPD (Lembaga Perkreditan Rakyat) employees in Guwang village, Gianyar Regency. LPD employee naturally deal with vocabularies about banking and finance, but they also equipped with technology and information things daily. By mastering information and technology terms for banking and finance fields is considered improving their self-awareness as an LPD employee in this society 5.0. The type of the research is a qualitative case study model using a pre-experimental design by distributing questionnaires and conducting initial interviews regarding information technology terms to 20 employees. Thus the research sample is the LPD employees at the Guwang Pekraman village, Gianyar, which consists of some level of education such as senior high school, vocational school, diploma and university. The research instrument was a crossword puzzle sheet consist of 20 vocabularies related to financial and information technology terms in English. While the research data were analyzed using data analysis techniques with interactive models (Interactive Mode of Analysis). The stages in data analysis are Data Reduction, Data Presentation and Drawing conclusions. Based on the hypothesis testing that has been done, it can be concluded that the use of the crossword puzzle method has an effect on increasing interest in mastering English actively and increasing the self-confidence of employees. The results of the data analysis are 11 people (55%) who only get vocabulary under 10 pieces (Group. A). Those who managed to get a vocabulary of 10 to 15 were as many as 6 (30%) people (Group. B), the remaining 3 people (15%) got results if they were above 15 (Group. C).

Abstract

Human trafficking is currently still a problem that has not been completely solved in Indonesia because human trafficking is a transnational crime. The victims are usually employed as beggars, maids, domestic helpers, pornography and prostitution practices. The government in this case has also regulated the issue of human trafficking through Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of Human Trafficking, as well as in the Criminal Code (KUHP). This crime of human trafficking often makes women as victim. Thus, this must be a big concern from the government and the community to avoid more victims in the future, because human trafficking, in this case women, is a deprivation of women's freedom of life and certainly is not in line with the principles of human rights. Although the laws and regulations clearly regulate and prohibit this human trafficking practice, there are still people who do not care about it and do not seem to be afraid of the sanctions for their actions. The method used in this study is the normative juridical legal research method, namely by using the statutory approach (Statute Approach) and the conceptual approach (Conceptual Approach).

Abstract

Talking about culture cannot be separated from a legacy of past life passed down from generation to generation. Culture is a key element and plays an important role in sustainable living. It is an integral part of life in every country, shaped by the environment, social situations, and economic factors. The function of culture goes beyond serving as an identity; it also acts as a lifestyle and a guide for society. Today, culture is known personally by its owners and can be widely recognized by anyone through technological intermediaries. In this regard, technology is inseparable from the language used in its presentation. With technological advances, language and culture can be significantly shaped and transformed. The Jero Pandak family owns cultural artifacts, namely the Purana Jero Pandak and keris (traditional Indonesian daggers). The Purana Jero Pandak tells the origins of the family's ancestors, who possess 13 keris. The community partner aims for this cultural heritage to be recognized by the older or previous generations and serve as a means of education or learning about history and cultural heritage for the younger generation of the Jero Pandak family and society in general. This is expected to enhance understanding of the family's history and the details of the keris they own. Through digitalization in the form of a website, it is hoped to positively introduce this cultural heritage and highlight the importance of preserving and maintaining cultural aspects from extinction due to the younger generation's lack of knowledge. This community service activity aims to document the purana and keris that have been passed down in digital form via a website. Through this community service, there is a positive change in education and communication regarding the origins and history of the ancestors of the extended family. This is expected to lead in a more advanced, connected, and inclusive direction.

Abstract

Strengthening the preservation of lontar in the form of digitisation needs to continue to be developed as an effort to maintain and develop the knowledge stored in lontar so that it is suitable for reading and use in everyday life. The purpose of this study is as a form of preservation, to create a catalog of lontar in tabanan regency, selemadeg district through the process of developing a digitalization website for the lontar catalog in tabanan regency. The method used in this research on the digitisation of lontar catalogues with web-based information systems uses a waterfall approach, which consists of concept planning, modelling (design), implementation, testing and maintenance stages. The results of this study found that lontars that were 30 years old, there were lontars that had not been properly stored and were left alone by their owners, so that the lontars were damaged by termites and rodents, therefore there must be an effort to save the storage of lontar owners so that lontars do not become extinct. Where researchers have carried out the process of digitizing lontar manuscripts in tabanan regency, selemadeg district so that the original physical form of the lontar manuscript as an ancestral heritage can be preserved and the information contained therein can be saved. All lontar manuscripts in tabanan regency, selemadeg district are cataloged so that they are easy to store and access. Lontar that has been made into digital form currently contains 31 digital lontar manuscripts that will be cataloged to facilitate providing information online, in the form of digital storage which makes it easier to identify the owner of the original lontar containing the status and origin of the lontar. This research aims to save lontar by creating a catalog of lontar in tabanan regency as a form of preserving local culture for lontar owners and future generations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan jenis kata ulang dalam novel Si Anak Pelangi karya Tere Liye, (2) mendeskripsikan jenis kata dasar yang mengalami pengulangan dalam novel Si Anak Pelangi karya Tere Liye, dan (3) mendeskripsikan makna kata ulang dalam novel Si Anak Pelangi karya Tere Liye. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa kata ulang dalam Si Anak Pelangi Karya Tere Liye. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Si Anak Pelangi karya Tere Liye yang terdapat banyak penggunaan kata ulang. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu teknik simak dengan cara membaca dan catat novel Si Anak Pelangi Karya Tere Liye. Metode analisis yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pemeriksaan keabsahan data yaitu dengan peningkatan ketekunan pengamatan. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 4 jenis kata ulang dalam novel Si Anak Pelangi Karya Tere Liye  yakni: pengulangan seluruh, pengulangaan sebagian, pengulangan dengan variasi fonem, pengulangan yang berkombinasi dengan pengimbuhan. Ditemukan 5 jenis kata dasar yang mengalami pengulangan yakni: verba (kata kerja), adjektiva (kata keadaan), nomina (kata benda), adverbia (kata keterangan), numeralia (kata bilangan). Selain itu ditemukan 7 makna kata ulang yakni: kata ulang mengandung arti ‘banyak yang tak tentu’, kata ulang menyatakan ‘bermacam-macam’, kata ulang menyatakan ‘agak’, kata ulang mengandung arti ‘berstatus’, kata ulang mengandung arti ‘perbuatan yang dilakukan berulang-ulang’, kata ulang menyatakan ‘intensitas’ baik intensitas kualitas, kuantitas, maupun frekuensi, kata ulang menyatakan ‘kolektif’.
