Abstract

Abstract: Hospital is an important health care service provider for the community. However, Manado community still complained about how bad the health care service in Manado, they also argue that private hospitals’ service is better compared to public hospital. Therefore, one of the elements that need to be considered by the hospital in providing quality health care services is the medical staff, and one of the medical staff who is closest to the patient is the nurse, they have a great responsibility for the provision of services to the patients, this great responsibility that faced by nurses make them vulnerable to experiencing job burnout. Therefore, this study aims to find if there is a significant difference in job burnout level among nurses between public and private hospital in Manado. The sample was taken using convenience sampling technique and the sample size of this study was 100 nurses from Bhayangkara Hospital Manado and 100 nurses from GMIM Pancaran Kasih Hospital Manado. The result shows that there is no significant difference in public hospital nurses and private hospital nurses towards the level of job burnout. The human resource manager in each hospital in Manado must pay attention to the medical staff especially the nurses so that they would not experience the job burnout that can affect their performance. Keywords: burnout level, public hospital nurses, private hospital nurses

Abstract

Abstract: Indonesia has a big problem in the economic factor that caused by sharp declining value of the rupiah, the exchange rate rupiah toward US dollar fluctuations The declining value of rupiah right now can cause the bad impact for the manufacturing sector, especially in chemical sub sector, because the raw materials that used in that sector are import and they must use dollar for the payment. The aim of this research is to find out the bankruptcy prediction in manufacturing firm by using bankruptcy models. This research is an empirical study in the manufacturing firm, and using Altman Z-score and Zmijewski X-score to predict the bankruptcy. Based on the analysis with using the Altman Z-Score test show the results of companies manufacturing chemical sub-sectors those listed on the IDX do not all have bankrupt predictions. But have predictions bankrupt, gray area, and not bankrupt. In the last five years since 2013 until 2017 PT. Unggul Indah Cahaya and PT. Ekadharma International are in the not bankrupt category or health category. The investor should do the calculation z-score and x-score as a basis for consideration to make a decision whether to be used as an investment land. Keywords: bankruptcy prediction, bankruptcy model, altman z-score, zmijewski x-score.

Abstract

Abstract: Profitability is a crucial factor in a company. Strategies are applied to achieve the main goal of a company which is to gain more profit and one of them is to expand. PT. Indosat Tbk is implementing acquisition as a form of expanding their company and in performing the strategy, two possibilities might occur whether the company will success or a failure.This research used comparative and paired sample t-test analysis. To analyze the profitability, this research used 4 indicators, which are Return on Asset, Return on Equity, Net Profit Margin, and Gross Profit Margin. The data were taken in the form of annual report from year 2003 to 2013 official website of PT. Indosat Tbk and Indonesia Stock Exchange.Current research regarding with the profitability before and after acquisition issues of PT. Indosat Tbk showed a negative result that declared a new different strategy to gain more profit should be implemented. Based on this research, the negative result of the acquisition of PT. Abstract

Abstract: There is an increasing competition among the beauty salons in Manado Town Square. As one of the salons, Johnny Andrean Salon is forced to keep its customer. Customer revisit intention is a very important part of a business. Experiential marketing and social environment play a part in building customer revisit intention. In order for Johnny Andrean Salon to be able to keep its customer, this study aims to analyze whether there is a significant difference between its single customer and married customer. The result shows that there is a significant difference in experiential marketing, while not in social environment. However, according to the result based on the indicators show that, there are actually two indicators in each category that has a significant difference. In experiential marketing, they are the feel indicator and the act indicator; and social comfort indicator as well employee job enthusiasm indicator for the social environment. Hence, this research proposes that the focus of the improvement in order to develop a better strategy approach to boost the customer revisit intention should be prioritized mostly in these 4 indicators, particularly aimed to the single customer.Keywords: experiential marketing, social environment, marital status

Abstract

Abstract: In the highly competitive of food industry, especially for dessert and beverages restaurant, service becomes one of the most important things for gaining sustainable competitive advantages in the marketplace. Service quality is a focused evaluation that reflects the customer’s perception of specific dimension of service; reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangibles. The objective of this research is to know the importance and performance of service quality at J’Co Donuts and Coffee Manado Town Square by using an Importance and Performance Analysis (IPA). The population observed is the customer of J’Co Donuts and Coffee Manado Town Square with sample size as many as 100 respondents. The key result were the importance of service quality in J’Co Donuts and Coffee Manado Town Square is some of the services considered extremely important to customers but the company are have not ability yet to get high customer satisfaction and the performance of service quality has a low performance and did not meet customer expectation. Thus, the quality of services should improve immediately and develop improvement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.Keywords: service quality, customer satisfaction, importance and performance analysis.

Abstract

Abstract: Product attributes is the way to differentiating in fashion industry and can give impact to customer purchase decision. The objectives of this research are to identify the importance of Quicksilver’s apparel attributes and to identify the performance of Quicksilver’s apparel attributes based on the variables such as brand name, style, retail store, and price. This research use quantitative approach and uses primary data obtained through questionnaires and uses importance and Performance Analysis. 100 respondents are the sample size of this research. The result of this study shows that brand name and price are placed in quadrant I (high important but low performance), retail store in quadrant III (low importance and low performance), while style in quadrant IV (low importance but high performance). In connection with the fashion competition that occurs in Manado, marketers must be able to act creatively in the development. Quicksilver need to conduct further internal research, in terms of follow up the result of this research, in order to increase or maintain the importance and performance of product attributes indicators that have a high impact to the consumers purchase decision that resulting in attract the customers attention and increasing the sales.Keywords: product attributes, brand name, style, retail store, price, importance and performance analysis.
