Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to measure the impact of Smart Village dimensions on rural community welfare in Lampung Province (2020–2024), with a particular focus on the Smart Economy pillar and its integration with digital transformation and technosociopreneurship. Research/methodology: A quantitative approach was employed using multiple linear regression (Ordinary Least Squares) on data collected from 70 Smart Village locations across four districts in Lampung. The independent variables included six Smart Village dimensions: Smart People, Smart Governance, Smart Mobility, Smart Environment, Smart Living, and Smart Economy. The dependent variable was community welfare. Instrument testing and classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation) were conducted to validate the model. Results: All six Smart Village dimensions showed a significant positive influence on community welfare. The Smart People dimension had the strongest effect (coefficient = 0.8489). The regression model demonstrated high explanatory power (R² = 0.9535) and satisfied all classical assumptions. Notably, Smart Economy initiatives—such as MSME digitalization, inclusive market access, and technology-based entrepreneurship—directly contributed to increased income, employment opportunities, and local economic growth. Conclusions: The application of Smart Village principles, particularly in economic transformation, significantly enhances rural welfare. Digital innovation, governance quality, and community capacity-building are critical drivers of inclusive development and service improvement. Limitations: The study is limited to Lampung Province and lacks comparative data from other regions. It also does not assess long-term or behavioral impacts. Contribution: This research provides empirical support for Smart Village policies, guiding investments in digital infrastructure, entrepreneurship training, and multi-stakeholder collaboration for rural development.

Instrument validity and classical assumption tests ensured model reliability. Results: All six Smart Village dimensions significantly and positively affected community welfare, with Smart People having the highest coefficient (0.8489). The model showed strong explanatory power (R² = 0.9535) and passed all classical assumption tests. Smart Economy initiatives—digitalization of MSMEs, inclusive market access, and technology-driven entrepreneurship—directly enhanced household income, job creation, and local growth. Conclusion: Implementation of Smart Village principles, especially smart economic transformation, significantly improves rural welfare. Digital innovation, good governance, and community capacity-building strengthen service quality, economic inclusion, and sustainability. Limitation: The study is limited to Smart Village implementations in Lampung Province, excluding interregional comparisons and long-term behavioral aspects. Contribution: This study provides empirical evidence of Smart Village effectiveness in rural development, supporting policy formulation on digital infrastructure, entrepreneurship training, and stakeholder collaboration, while offering a replicable model for evaluating Smart Village outcomes in other regions.

Abstract

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is one of the macroeconomic indicators that reflects the level of welfare of a country's population. The APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) forum has the main goal of promoting economic growth and enhancing prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region. This is done by encouraging and facilitating more open trade and investment in the region. APEC member countries have different export characteristics, namely agricultural exports and high-technology exports. This study analyzes the influence of agricultural exports, high-technology exports, Foreign Direct Investment, and regulatory quality on the Gross Domestic Product of APEC member countries. The research data used are secondary data from the World Bank from 2011 to 2020, analyzed using the Fixed Effect Model approach of panel data regression method using E-Views 12. The results show that simultaneously, agricultural exports, high-technology exports, Foreign Direct Investment, and regulatory quality have a significant influence on the economies of APEC member countries. Partially, high-technology exports and regulatory quality have a positive and significant impact, while agricultural exports and Foreign Direct Investment have a positive but not significant impact on GDP. APEC countries should focus on productivity by harnessing technology and achieving inclusive economies for societal welfare.

Abstract

Economic growth is a macro indicator to measure the success of development, so all countries strive to achieve high economic growth to create prosperity for the society, especially for developing countries. At the beginning of economic growth, income inequality will increase, but over time, income inequality will decrease. This research was conducted to analyze the influence of economic growth rate, non-oil export ratio, non-oil import ratio, and foreign direct investment ratio on income inequality among provinces in Indonesia. The data used in this study is panel data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency covering 34 provinces in Indonesia from 2018 to 2022. The results of this study indicate that the economic growth rate has a positive but not significant effect on income inequality in Indonesia, the non-oil import ratio has a positive and significant effect on income inequality in Indonesia, the foreign direct investment ratio has a negative but not significant effect on income inequality in Indonesia, while the non-oil export ratio does not have a significant effect on income inequality in Indonesia.

Abstract

Energy as one part of the source of energy has a very important role as a pioneer of economic development in the activities of creation, distribution, and consumption. This research aims to identify the causes between energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions in Indonesia. The type of research used is a quantitative research type which is analyzed using multivariate. The research results show that there is a relationship that is strong and 2-way proves that there is an increase in energy consumption which causes an increase in carbon dioxide emissions or other words an increase in energy consumption so that there is an increase in carbon dioxide emissions due to   the large consumption of fossil fuels and thus an increase in carbon dioxide emissions will also be large considering that consuming fossil fuels can increase the increase in carbon dioxide emissions to a large extent. The research suggests the government needs to encourage energy efficiency through carrying out accelerated development of New Renewable Energy apart from that the government is starting to implement the use of environmentally friendly and renewable energy and improve public transportation facilities.
