Abstract

This research explains Indonesia's efforts to improve competitiveness advantage of Muslim Friendly Tourism (MFT) between the OIC countries. The expenditures of Muslim tourists spending was USD 145 Billion in 2014 and is estimated to be USD 200 Billion in 2020. This lucrative prospect shall encourage many countries of the world to be a main actor in this industry particularly the OIC member countries to work on MFT professionally, including Indonesia. Indonesia has abundant muslim friendly destinations and potential resources to be developed more in order to atract international tourist and gain fruitful national income. on the contrary by those facts, Indonesia's position remains in Group B which defines as the best position for growth under anothe members of OIC MFT developer countries.The author has collected data from various resources predominantly TP3H and COMCEC to analyze Indonesia's efforts to improve its MFT competitiveness advantage. The theoretical framework used in this study is the perspective of realist-mercantilism, nation-state as unit analysis, the concept of national economic interests, the theory of competitive advantage.This study demonstrates that Indonesia’s efforts to enhance its MFT competitiveness advantage between OIC member countries is proven to be as competitive one measured by progressive quality development regarding to MFT competitive advantage (ca) through the main components such key faith-based needs, demand side key themes, supply side key themes.Keywords: Muslim Friendly Tourism (MFT), Competitive Advantage (CA) Indonesia, Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)

Abstract

Background: Hypercholesterolemia is a risk factor for causing death at a young age. The World Health Organization reported in 2002 that 4.4 million deaths were caused by hypercholesterolemia, or 7.9% of the total number of deaths at a young age. Hypercholesterolemia is a condition in which cholesterol levels in the body exceed normal levels. One way that can be done to prevent hypercholesterolemia is to control diet, namely by fasting. Dawood’s fasting is one of the obligatory fasts of Islamwhich is done with one-day fasting and one-day not. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of Dawood’s fasting in reducing total blood cholesterol levels in Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School students in Surabaya.Methods: This study was designed with a quasi-experimental study research method using a comparative pre-test post-test non-equivalent control group design. The sample in this study was divided into two groups, namely one control group and one treatment group from the sample selected by purposive sampling. The population studied were students of the Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School in Surabaya. Result: The results of statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test showed an effect of Dawood’s fasting in reducing total blood cholesterol levels in Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School students in Surabaya.Conclusion: From research result that has been done, it can be concluded that there is an effect of Dawood’s fasting in reducing total blood cholesterol levels in Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School students in Surabaya. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Management of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Moyo Village, Moyo Hilir sub-District in order to increase the Village Own Source Revenue of Moyo Village, Moyo Hilir sub-District. The type of this study was qualitative study. The data used were primary and secondary data. The informants in this study were the Village Head, BUMDes Manager and the communities of Moyo Village. The method used to collect data were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis tool used was the theory of Miles and Huberman which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of study showed that the management had been done by Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Moyo Village, Moyo Hilir sub-District was in accordance with the provisions set by the village government. In its implementation, the BUMDes in Moyo Village, had implemented management strategy aspects, such as planning, organizing, actuating and controlling. The management of BUMDes in Moyo Village, which is carried out by administrators by involving the government and village communities directly in every management activity, starting from planning, organizing, actuating and controlling, is expected to be able to encourage the community's economy so that can increase community income and contribute to increasing Village Own Source Revenue (PADes).

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung pertumbuhan perekonomian nasional melalui kontribusinya terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja dan peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat. Salah satu UMKM yang memiliki potensi untuk terus berkembang adalah UMKM Cahaya Roti yang berlokasi di Kemiling, Bandar Lampung. Meskipun memiliki kualitas produk yang baik dan jaringan distribusi yang telah terbangun, UMKM Cahaya Roti masih menghadapi kendala dalam aspek pemasaran dan pengutan branding karena masih mengandalkan sistem pemasaran konvensional. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan penerapan digital marketing dan inovasi branding sebagai strategi pengembangan UMKM Cahaya Roti. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi obsevasi lapangan, pemanfaatan media digital serta penguatan identitas merek. Hasil kegiatan menujukan bahwa digital marketing memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan visibilitas usaha dan jangkauan pasar, terutama melalui pemanfaatan media sosial. Selain itu, penguatan branding melalui identitas visual dan desain kemasan yang lebih menarik dapat meningkatkan daya saing produk. Dengan penerapan strategi digital marketing dan braning yang terarah dan berkelanjutan, UMKM Cahaya Roti diharapkan mampu meningkatkan daya saing, memperluas pasar, serta menjaga keberlanjutan usaha di tengah persaingan bisnis yang semakin kompetitif.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the role of financial literacy in shaping financial management behavior among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Financial literacy is an important aspect of business sustainability, as many MSME actors still operate their businesses without systematic financial management practices. This condition may affect the ability of business owners to plan, manage, and evaluate their financial conditions in a sustainable manner. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study design at the Shis Kebab MSME located in Tanjung Bintang District, South Lampung Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the business owner as the main informant using an open-ended interview guide. The collected data were then analyzed descriptively to describe the level of financial literacy and the financial management practices implemented in daily business activities. The results show that the business owner has a basic understanding of several financial products, such as savings accounts and digital banking services. However, financial records are still maintained in a simple manner and have not been organized into systematic financial reports, and there is no clear separation between business and personal finances. In addition, business planning is still oriented toward short-term needs, and the business owner has not had access to financial management training from formal institutions. These findings indicate that improving financial literacy is necessary to support more effective and sustainable financial management among MSMEs. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran literasi keuangan dalam membentuk perilaku pengelolaan keuangan pada pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM). Literasi keuangan menjadi aspek penting bagi keberlanjutan usaha karena masih banyak pelaku UMKM yang menjalankan kegiatan usaha tanpa didukung oleh praktik pengelolaan keuangan yang sistematis. Kondisi tersebut dapat memengaruhi kemampuan pelaku usaha dalam merencanakan, mengelola, dan mengevaluasi kondisi keuangan usahanya secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus pada UMKM Shis Kebab yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Tanjung Bintang, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pemilik usaha sebagai informan utama menggunakan pedoman pertanyaan terbuka. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk menggambarkan pemahaman literasi keuangan serta praktik pengelolaan keuangan yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan usaha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaku usaha telah memiliki pemahaman dasar mengenai beberapa produk keuangan seperti tabungan dan layanan perbankan digital. Namun, praktik pencatatan keuangan masih dilakukan secara sederhana, belum disusun dalam laporan keuangan yang sistematis, serta belum terdapat pemisahan yang jelas antara keuangan usaha dan keuangan pribadi. Selain itu, perencanaan usaha masih berorientasi pada kebutuhan jangka pendek dan pelaku usaha belum memiliki akses terhadap pelatihan pengelolaan keuangan dari lembaga formal. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan literasi keuangan diperlukan untuk mendukung pengelolaan keuangan UMKM yang lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan.
