Abstract

This study analyzes the factors that motivate Indonesia signed apreferential trade agreement with Pakistan in 2012 . the reasons which promptedIndonesia to cooperate with Pakistan to better cooperation , free tradeagreements . Abstract

This research is motivated by a dispute between Japan and China inhaving the Senkaku Islands. This study aims to describe the Senkaku Islands, anddescribe and explain the steps in the case of possession Japan the SenkakuIslands.This study used qualitative methods, the research done by way ofexplaining the way of outlining the problem based on the existing evidence. Thetechnique used to obtain secondary data and facts in order to study the problemin this paper is to use the research literature (library research) in the form ofbooks, literature, dictionaries, articles in magazines, scientific journals, bulletins,etc., and also documentation that can be accessed via the internet. Results revealthat the Senkaku Islands are 5 rocky uninhabited islands, but around the manyislands contained reserves of oil and natural gas.The steps that have been performed in Japan have Senkaku Islands are:(1) states and incorporate the Senkaku Islands as Japanese territory, (2) buy theSenkaku Islands from the Japanese private sector, (3) conduct a cordon near itsterritory from China, and conduct war games with the United States in the regionnear the Senkaku Islands, (4) joint consensus (joint Agreement) to administer theislands jointly.Keywords : Japanese Strategy, Senkaku Islands

Abstract

The journal identifies the role of UNICEF in tackling hunger and violence in children in Yemen in 2011-2013.data technic collection in this study through a multi-case study research library and documents analysis. The writer use theory of the role of International Organizations to describe the role of UNICEF as an International organization dealing with violence and hunger in children Yemen. The writer also makes use of the theory of conflict resolution in view of the root causes of problem conflict which always occurs in Yemen.In an effort to overcome violence and hunger among children in Yemen UNICEF conduct programs as follows, a program of The Peacebuilding, Education and Advocacy in Conflict-Affected Contexts (PBEA), Program kepeduliaan of the right child (Evidence for children's rights), and Program Empowerment children's rights (Empowerment for children's rights). Abstract

This research is motivated by the intercepts made by Australia against the president, first lady, and other Indonesian official. This research aims to describe the strategic partnership and the ups and downs of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and to explain the intercepst made by Australia against of Indonesia then to explain the Indonesian Government’s policy against the intercepts case,This research uses qualitative research methods. Research conducted by way of explaining based on existing data. Then techniques used in this research libraries from various sources such as books, journals,newspapers and also the documentation is accessible fro the internet. The theory used in this research is the theory of the rational actor models of decisiom making and the concept of foreign policy. In this model Graham T. Allison mentioned that in decision making abroad is described as a process of intellectual selection based on top of existing alternatives.This result in the research was the government’s policy towards Indonesia by interceps actions Australia is recalled its ambassador from Australia, stopping a number of cooperation with Australia, and for the continuation of cooperation between government of Indonesia and Australia drew up a code of conduct.Keywords : Policy, Decision Making, intercepts, Diplomatic Relations

Abstract

Malaysia is a country in Southeast Asia that has a rapid rate of economic progress. Since the late 1980s until the 2000s the rate of growth of Malaysias economy nearly tripled. This achievement did not escape capacity charismatic leader of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohammad who is has launched a program of Malaysia Vision 2020. Malaysian Vision 2020 is a policy that contains a variety of economic development strategies concepts in a systematic and planned figures declared by the founder (founding father) as a condition of rational and systematic Malaysia can bring progress toward better national development.This study used descriptive qualitative methodology, in which the collected data is non-numeric. While data collection techniques used are library research. Then the theory is used to answer the formulation / identification problem is constructivism theory elaborated by policy-making capacity which is then associated with the development of the theory negara.teori international cooperation, foreign policy are realized through cooperation with the United States governmentefforts / policies implemented by the Malaysian government in realizing the agenda of Malaysia Vision 2020 in collaboration with the U.S. government through the equation of understanding the vision of leaders of both countries are realized through the visit and tour of the state, is realized through the development of cooperation in the economic, political, social and cultural.Keyword : Political Economy and malaysia malaysian vision 2020

Abstract

This research analyzes the reason of Japan has not ratify Basel Ban Amendment. Japan as a developed country has a high priority in environmental policy refused to ratify of Basel Ban Amendment. Its automatically inhibit the enactment of Basel Ban Amendment which aims to total ban on the transboundary movements of hazardous and toxic waste and other wastes that danger to human health and the environment. Japan has been a member of Basel Convention since 1993. But in reality until now Japan has remained in the position opposite party state conventions and the amendment has not been ratified. While on the other hand the Japanese continued to portray himself as pro-environment state.. Based on Porter-Brown theory, the role of actor in environments policy making, Japanese policy has not ratified the Basel Ban Amendment influenced by domestic economic interests and the influence of Japanese industrial groups in policy-making that related to the economic and industrial sectors. Japan have an interest to keep domestic economy stability after the economic bubble burst in 1993. Reduction amount of hazardous waste means reducing industrial production activity that sustain Japanese Economy. Japan also has an interest to externalization amount of waste. in addition to the economic benefits from waste trade in JEPAs, Japan also has interests to save the environment from the dangers of hazardous waste pollution. Moreover the role of industrial actor in environmental decision making also become one of causes why Japan has not ratify Basel Ban Amendment.Keywords: Convention, Ratify, Amendment, Toxic and hazardous waste, National Interest.

Abstract

The goal of this research is analyzing the interest of United States of America on DNS program in Indonesia. The governments of Indonesia and United States of America have a deal about the agreement in decreasing debt of Indonesia governments partly as donation for natural conservation. This agreement will be implemented on Debt for Nature Swaps (DNS) program.The method of this research is qualitative research by using explorative method with library research technique used some references that is literatures, articles of scientific journal, and relevant resources. By using theory of national interest concept that is stated by Jack c Plano and Roy Olton, there is interest of creditor country (United States of America) in supporting debtor country (Indonesia) in decreasing their debt through Debt for Nature Swap (DNS) program.The result of this research is making of united states interest on Debt for Nature Swap (DNS) program in Indonesia as the building of economy and politic on natural conservation in Indonesia through TFCA (The Tropical Forest Conservation Action) design that is TFCA1 and TFCA2.Keywords: United States of America, Indonesia, Debt for Nature Swap, Interest.

Abstract

Cooperation begins with the first European settlement residents in Australian who rely on food supplies. Food supplies which are often brought from java. The first ship to arrive in Sydney from Indonesian is Waaksamheyd ship in 1790. Ship was carrying food supplies from Batavia ( Jakarta name at the time ). Food supplies that include: 171 tons of beef, 172 tons of pork, 39 tons of flour, 4,500 pounds of sugar, 31,000 kg of rice. Trade and commerce between Australian and Indonesian are growing. Two-way trade has increased to 25.2% during 2000-2002. More than 400 Australian companies are doing trade in Indonesian, ranging from mining to telecommunications. These companies work as a trading partner with the company and the Indonesian government.This research method is descriptive research, a descriptive study is provide an overview of the problems, circumstances, symptoms, and the actions or policies. In case after Indonesian restrict beef imports from Australian. In 2013 estimated the total national needs as much as 521,000 tons of meat, 441,000 tons of meat from within the country, while 80,000 tonnes Imported. Beef import quota of 80,000 tonnes comprised of 32,000 tonnes of frozen beef cows and 276 thousand equivalent to 48 thousand tons of meat. Public policy is not easy, depending on the political will of the government ( political will ) are realized on economic policy adopted. The only yardstick is how a puublic policy, trade policy can welfare of society in general. In general, the reduction of quota beef imports by the Indonesian government does not affect the political relations of both countries, but the political climate in the country is volatile due to the scarcity of meat in the market, as well as the Australian government is under pressure from the farmers.Keyword : Policy Impact Indonesian, Beef Import Quota Limit of Australian

Abstract

This research explains Tiongkok’s motive established an Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) in the East China Sea. The Ministry of National Defense of the People’s Republic of China on 23rd November 2013 declared an Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) in the East China Sea. This new ADIZ covers the Senkaku Islands, which under a territory dispute between Tiongkok and Japan.This research used qualitative methods which is done by explaining the case based on existing facts. The techniques used to collects data to study the case is library research in the form of journals, books, thesis, reports, working papers, magazine, and website to explain Tiongkok’s motive on establishing its ADIZ. The theoretical framework applied in this research are realism perspective, foreign policy strategy theory from John P. Lovell, national interests concept from Hans J. Morgenthau and threats concept from Barry Buzan.The research shows that Tiongkok’s motive by established an ADIZ was not genuinely to defend its sovereignty and the security of Chinese territory and airspace, but the ADIZ is an expansion of Tiongkok’s attempt to exert legal and administrative control over the Senkaku Islands. This is also a counter-measure for Japan’s nationalization over the islands. Abstract

This research describes the Government of Indonesia policy to create a Indonesia Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) to Nigeria in 2010. Nigeria are one of most country in Africa Continent that have economic potency and from 2000 has been a mitra of Indonesia in economic relationship. In 2004 Nigeria have a implementation policy of economic protection. Ani this policy have influence to export from Indonesia to Nigeria.The research method used was a qualitative with descriptive as a technic of the research. Writer collects data from books, encyclopedia, journal, mass media and websites to analyze Government of Indonesia policy to create a Indonesia Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) to Nigeria. The theories applied in this research are economic consequences from Friedrich List and national interest concept from Donald. E. Nuchterlain and protecsionisme.The research shows that Government of Indonesia policy to create a Indonesia Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) to Nigeria are because the implementation policy of Nigeria to protect the import from the other countries likes Indonesia and this policy are contra bained policy. In order because the increase of economic scale in Nigeria and be market brief for Indonesia bussiness.Key words: policy, economy, trade, promotion.
