Abstract

This research aims to analyse the application of the communication model in the implementation of the DUKCAPIL Prima policy in South Sulawesi Province, and evaluate the factors that influence the effectiveness of communication in public policy. The approach used in this research is qualitative with a case study design. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with the Head of the DUKCAPIL Office of South Sulawesi Province and participatory observation related to policy communication activities. The results showed that the communication model applied consisted of one-way communication and gradual communication, which proved effective in conveying policies from the central government to the district/city level. In addition, the use of various forms of messages such as instructional, motivational, informational, and feedback as well as the utilisation of various communication media (print media, radio, television, and social media) increase the effectiveness of policy delivery to the community. The significance of this research lies in a deeper understanding of the importance of a systematic and integrative communication model in the implementation of public policies, especially in the field of population administration and civil registration.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in news writing on the A-News portal. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive research design. The findings indicate that the study explores the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in news production at A-News using qualitative methods and agency theory. A-News utilizes AI to accelerate news production, although the main challenge lies in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of information. The newsroom emphasizes transparency in news production and strives to enhance interaction with readers. Although AI increases efficiency, A-News limits its use to maintain journalistic independence and creativity, acknowledging the technology’s limitations. This research provides insight into the implementation of AI in newsroom workflows and the challenges faced in integrating artificial intelligence into journalism.

Abstract

Di era digital saat ini, media sosial menjadi salah satu platform utama bagi individu untuk mengakses informasi dan edukasi di berbagai bidang, termasuk perawatan kulit. TikTok sebagai salah satu platform media sosial terpopuler memiliki jangkauan yang luas dan mampu menarik perhatian jutaan pengguna dari berbagai kalangan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi yang digunakan oleh Dr. Yessica Tania dalam memberikan edukasi mengenai perawatan kulit pada media sosial tiktok. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis isi. Analisis isi digunakan untuk memahami bagaimana konten disusun dan disampaikan sehingga dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi pengikut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis isi dan penelitian kepustakaan dimana peneliti mengumpulkan data dengan cara mencari, membaca dan mengumpulkan tulisan, artikel, dokumen online dan informasi lainnya tentang @dr.ziee, guna melengkapi penelitian yang peneliti lakukan. Hasil penelitian tersebut adalah TikTok memiliki potensi besar sebagai platform edukasi khususnya di bidang perawatan kulit. Format video pendek pada aplikasi TikTok memungkinkan informasi tersampaikan secara cepat dan mudah dipahami. Pada postingan tiktok @dr.ziee memanfaatkan fitur ini dengan baik, menghadirkan konten informatif yang menarik perhatian penonton merupakan sebuah strategi yang digunakan dalam menyampaikan edukasi. Kecepatan dan fleksibilitas dalam menyampaikan informasi menjadi salah satu keunggulan utama TikTok dibandingkan media tradisional. Dr.Yessica Tania melalui akun @dr.ziee menggunakan berbagai strategi komunikasi efektif untuk menjangkau dan menyampaikan pesan edukasi kepada para pengikut Tiktok.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are a crucial sector in the Indonesian economy due to their significant contribution to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and employment absorption. In an increasingly competitive digital era, MSMEs are required to adapt by utilizing data-driven communication technologies to enhance business competitiveness. One relevant approach is Big Data Analytics (BDA), which enables business actors to process large volumes of data to support decision-making and communication strategies. However, the adoption of big data among digital MSMEs remains limited and uneven. This study aims to explore digital MSMEs’ understanding of the big data concept, examine the forms of its utilization in communication practices, and identify the challenges encountered in its implementation in Makassar. The research employed an exploratory qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, documentation, and focus group discussions, and subsequently analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The findings indicate that most digital MSMEs have a limited understanding of big data and tend to utilize data in relatively simple ways, particularly for basic digital marketing activities. he most significant barrier to big data adoption is not solely technical or financial constraints, but also the low level of strategic urgency among MSME actors in recognizing big data as a critical resource for long-term business development. Key challenges include limited human resources, financial constraints, and inadequate technological infrastructure. Nevertheless, several MSMEs have begun to experience positive benefits from data utilization, especially in supporting digital communication and improving overall business performance.
