Abstract

Abstract

At this time, registration for public schools is straightforward to do online with a device via a web browser without the need to install an application that can ease the device's performance. Still, the government regulates it through a zoning policy that makes students register for schools close to their homes. This study examines and compares which Euclidean and Haversine algorithms are more accurate to implement in making an application that determines the distance between the school and the student's house. Then the school will decide which students can be accepted using the K-Means algorithm, as has been done by SMPN 1 Tigaraksa, which results that the haversine algorithm has an average accuracy rate of 99.71%, an average error of 0.29% with an average distance difference of 1.86 meters. In comparison, Euclidean has an accuracy rate of 99.65%, an average -the average error is 0.35% with the difference in average distance at the actual length of 2.42 meters. Therefore, the difference in distance between the two algorithms obtained is 1.27 meters. And the K-Means Algorithm can be the proper method for making decisions because the algorithm groups according to the farthest, medium, and closest distances

Abstract

The attendance application system is important in an era like this, where many large and small companies that initially used fingerprints to be absent or absent manually by admins have now switched to using online attendance. On the one hand, if you are still using manual attendance documents, it is very dangerous to lose or be damaged, therefore there is no web-based use. This attendance is connected to GPS so that the employee's location can be detected when absent. Therefore, Online Attendance in Real Time Sequential Search Algorithm Using Web-Based GPS (Global Positioning System) Technology is very helpful or makes it easier for admins to recap the manpower whether he is not around the office or not. Attendance using this application is very efficient and time-saving and what often happens in small companies is that the employee is no longer there but the employee is not yet in the office, which is detrimental to the company and operations. To make a report using the Online Attendance method in Real Time, Sequential Searching Algorithm Using Web-Based GPS (Global Positioning System) Technology, which requires interviews, research methods, and libraries. Then the software uses the waterfall method which includes: Design, Needs Analysis, Testing, and then Implementation.

Abstract

The need for tools for effective image to text conversion is increasing as a result of increasing reliance on mobile applications for daily activities and constraints in cross-platform application development. Addressing this demand by creating an Android application that uses Flutter and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology is the focus of this research. In particular, Jaro Winkler's method, which improves the accuracy of text extraction, is the main focus of this research. The research methodology uses a systematic approach, starting with a literature review to create a theoretical foundation and discover differences in current technology. The development uses Flutter's cross-platform capabilities and includes OCR for text extraction. The Jaro Winkler method is used to improve accuracy by increasing the similarity measure between extracted text and actual text, especially for unclear images. Despite issues with low-resolution images, the app has the ability to convert images to text accurately, as demonstrated by app testing and evaluation. The app's performance shows the possibility that a combination of Flutter, OCR, and Jaro Winkler's method can help create an effective image to text conversion tool. But the research also found some things that need improvement, especially in processing low-quality images and refining algorithms for better accuracy. Implementation of the Jaro-Winkler algorithm is used accurately and significantly. This is proven by a comparison of two sample words, "BRI" and "BNI," which produces a result of 0.7778, or a percentage value of 77.3% through manual calculation. Based on a comparison of the values in the application and calculations using Python with floating-point representation, there is a small difference in the final results, with a difference of only 3%, which results in a result of 80%..
