Abstract

Abstract

Abstract: Many motivational books have been being present in the community who are entering the era of information and communication. One of the books that has influenced many titles of the other is the work of Rhonda Byrne The Secret. In this book it is revealed that “like attracts like.” Muslim readers could compare The Law of Attraction with prayers which become their daily rituals. This paper analyzes the Law of Attraction with all its rationale and explain it in the perspective of the concept of prayer in Islam. In this discussion it was found that the Law of Attraction could strengthen the confidence of the prayer of Muslim to God. There is a mechanism of natural processes and the influence of waves of thoughts and feelings in the prayer. The Law of Attraction teaches that man is responsible for his life, because man will reap what he is thinking and feeling. For this reason, it is not useful to blame God for misfortunes of human destiny. Keywords: law of attraction, doa Islam, motivasi

Abstract

Abstract

This research analyzes the role of mass media in the democratization process in Indonesia after the fall of the New Order in 1998. Using a literature study method, this research evaluates the role of mass media in disseminating information, facilitating public dialogue, and strengthening government accountability. Political reforms have allowed the media to report important issues more freely, contributing to government transparency and accountability. The mass media also serves as a platform for public discussion, helping the public understand national issues and become more critical voters. However, the mass media faces significant challenges, including intense competition among media channels, dependence on political and economic interests, and the risk of information manipulation. The research results show that despite these challenges, the mass media remains a vital element in promoting democratization in Indonesia by increasing public participation and political transparency. Steps to strengthen media integrity and professionalism, as well as media education for the public, are essential to ensure that the mass media can continue to play a role as a pillar of a healthy and sustainable democracy.

Abstract

Ramalina sp. (Ramalinaceae) is a type of lichen known to contain many active secondary metabolite compounds that have the potential to be used as medicine or medicinal raw materials. One of the biological activities possessed by Ramalina sp. lichen is its anticancer activity. This research aims to isolate and identify active secondary metabolite compounds from the methanol extract of the Ramalina sp. lichen and to find out the cytotoxic activity of the isolated compound against MCF7 breast cancer cells. Compound 1 (usnic acid) was successfully isolated from fraction A. The isolation and purification process was carried out starting with a maceration process using acetone solvent, followed by silica gel column chromatography using a gradient solvent system consisting of n-hexane, n-hexane:EtOAc, EtOAc, EtOAc:MeOH, and MeOH with 5% increment of polarity to obtain 17 fractions (F-1 to F-17). From the 17 fractions obtained, fraction 3 (F-3) and fraction 4 (F-4) (eluted with n-hexane:EtOAc 30%), which had the same TLC profile, were combined and named as fraction A. Compound 1 (50 mg) is a yellow needle crystal that was formed in a bottle of fraction A, which was obtained after the process of combining fractions F-3 and F-4 and solvent evaporation process. The crystals were then separated and purified with CHCl3 and MeOH. Compound 1 was then characterized based on spectroscopic data. Various spectroscopic analysis data, including FTIR, 1D- and 2D-NMR, and LC-ESI-MS, show that Compound 1 is a dibenzofuran derivative compound with 18 carbons (3 from carbonyl groups (C=O) and 3 from methyl groups) and 2 hydroxyl (-OH). Cytotoxicity assay showed that at a low concentration of 18.75 ug/mL, Compound 1 caused a 67.06% decrease in MCF7 viability

Abstract

Forecasting new student admissions essential for higher education institutions as it helps them plan for staffing and budgetary needs. Accurate predictions are difficult due to factors like economic conditions, government policies, and University competition. This study aims to analysis forecasting at Nasional university using Random Forest and Linear Regression algorithms. By examining historical admission data, the research seeks to identify key factors influencing the number of accepted students. Methodology involves collecting data from past admissions and applying both Random Forest and Linear Regression to compare their performance. Preliminary results, based on parameters such as application form purchases from 2015 to 2023, form prices, accreditation, and leading study programs, suggest that Random Forest offers more stable and realistic predictions. Analysis for MAE, MSE, RMSE, MAPE, MAD suggests that Linear Regression is more accurate for this data. predicts closer to actual values with lower overall errors. This makes Linear Regression preferable as it provides more reliable predictions with less deviation compared to Random Forest. Looking at admissions forecasts for the next 5 years, Random Forest predicts a steady decrease from 4224 in 2024 to 4129 in 2028. In contrast, Linear Regression suggests a stable trend with slight annual dips, going from 4954 in 2024 to 4941 in 2028. Therefore, Linear Regression is a more stable and realistic choice compared to Random Forest for this forecasting task in this research.

Abstract

Indonesia as a maritime country where sea transportation plays an important role and strategic position in mobilizing the movement of goods and services, where international trade activities in this case exports and imports use sea transportation. PT. Container Maritime Activities (CMA) Indonesia, based in Jakarta, is an agency shipping company engaged in container shipping, in other words, having its own containers. In economic activity, it cannot be separated from the import process, because imports are a reflection of a country's economic sovereignty, whether goods and services made in the country are still the masters in their own country. A country imports because it experiences a deficiency (lack/failure) in carrying out the production of goods and services for the consumption needs of its population. In this case the Delivery Order (DO) document is required by the importer to remove the goods from the container terminal terminal
