Abstract

Public Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) in government and public service institutions are highly vulnerable to cyberattacks, yet conventional firewalls and intrusion detection systems (IDS) often fail to provide proactive defense. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of honeypot-based security within the WLAN infrastructure of Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kota Pekanbaru. Using an applied experimental design, honeypots were integrated with Snort IDS and visualized through Honeymap to capture attacker behavior, detect anomalies, and benchmark detection performance. The results show that honeypots reduced detection latency, lowered false positives, and improved accuracy in identifying port scanning and brute force attacks compared to standard firewalls. Additionally, Honeymap enabled geographic analysis of attack origins, enhancing situational awareness. The findings highlight not only the technical benefits but also ethical challenges, particularly regarding user privacy and informed consent. This research recommends that public institutions adopt clear governance frameworks, ensure regular staff training, and maintain continuous system updates to sustain honeypot effectiveness. Strategically deployed, honeypots can strengthen cybersecurity readiness and inform policy development in public network environments.

Abstract

With the growth of social media and messaging platforms, businesses are investigating new marketing methods to reach and impact consumer behavior. This study investigates the effect of marketing strategies on Instagram and WhatsApp on consumers' inclination to buy prepared, home-cooked meals. It looks into how companies use these platforms' interactive and visual elements to market their products and influence customer choices. The research examines consumer surveys and marketing initiatives data to identify the primary drivers of engagement and buy intentions. It investigates how direct messaging, targeted advertising, and influencer marketing affect customer attitudes and decision-making. The study also explores the ethical issues of these marketing strategies and how they may affect consumers' privacy and autonomy.  This research intends to increase awareness about responsible practices that respect consumer interests while guiding firms in optimizing their methods by offering insights into the efficacy of social media and messaging app marketing strategies. The results add to the growing conversation about how digital marketing impacts food consumption habits and how consumer-business relationships are changing.

Abstract

Twitter is often used by the public as a platform to speak and express their opinions, especially in the context of the 2024 Presidential Election. Tweets related to the '2024 Presidential Election' can be used as a source of data for social media analysis to determine whether the expressed opinions tend to be positive or negative. The research process involves data collection of tweets, preprocessing, tokenization, class attribute determination, directory filling, sentiment analysis, and classification steps, including testing the value of k and testing the confusion matrix. The research and testing results show that the K-NN method successfully achieves a sentiment classification accuracy rate of 86.48%.

Abstract

Twitter is one type of social media that is still widely used today. However, it happens frequently for Twitter users to post remarks that tend to criticize other Twitter users. Twitter users routinely make nasty remarks regarding body shaming, which has detrimental impacts on the victims such as diminishing self-esteem, leading to depressive illnesses, and, more seriously, raising the chance of suicide. Body shaming is the practice of criticizing someone's physical attributes, such as being slim, overweight, or having a flat nose. This study will use the Naive Bayes Classifier approach to do sentiment analysis based on the actions of body shaming on Twitter. Based on the performance testing results of Accuracy, Precision, and Recall using Machine Learning Rapid Miner with an initial dataset of 1000 body shaming tweets and a test dataset of 329 tweets, the following results were obtained: Accuracy of 80.55%, positive Precision of 100%, negative Precision of 80.43%, positive Recall of 3.03%, and negative Recall of 100%. In the preprocessing stage, tokenization resulted in a word cloud with the top 5 words being "overweight" at 51%, "body shaming" at 20%, "thin" at 11%, "people" at 10%, and "eating" at 8%.

Abstract

English, being an international language, plays a significant part in daily life worldwide. Many nations utilize English as their primary language of communication. The lack of a novel approach to English learning—such as the use of contemporary technology—means that kindergarteners at Al-Barkah Kindergarten only learn the language through books. In light of these issues, Al-Barkah Kindergarten developed an Android-based application to teach English via the drill and practice method, hence creating a variance in teaching methods. Because this method applies a learning system in the form of visual, audio, and animation that can attract students' interest in learning language, the application design results show that the learning method is effective and that a solution, especially for Al-Barkah Kindergarten students, can easily understand the learning material. English.

Abstract

One business that engages in trading goods and services is PT. Madina Mitra Teknik. During the observations, Microsoft Excel was still used for manual invoice recording, even though the collection division had access to computer tools that may facilitate collection efforts. The goal of this research is to design an invoice-recording information system that can help manage existing invoices at PT. Madina Mitra Teknik in the collection section with development using the Laravel framework. Currently, no information system helps record invoices and their progress as they are issued and incoming payments, so the process of making reports takes time. The research process includes analysis, design, coding, and testing. The waterfall development method is employed. The output of this study is an invoice recording system, and the results of the black box testing show that every function has operated as intended. To ensure that the invoice recording information system is appropriate for use and implemented to support the invoice management process in the PT collection section, Madina Mitra Teknik conducted a portability test using three different browsers and found that all aspects of the system could be accessed without any issues.

Abstract

Smartphone technology, especially Android smartphones, has advanced quickly in terms of their function as smart and communication devices. Their capacity to function as remote control tools, enabling users to view and manage electronic gadgets via an Internet connection, is one notable advancement. Through the use of the Internet connection as a bridge between devices, smartphone-based remote control indirectly makes it easier to monitor and manage electrical gadgets. Uncontrolled electricity use and instances of high power consumption that occur when people forget to turn off equipment provide a challenge. The author suggests using the prototyping method, in which a prototype is created at the beginning stage for later development, to overcome this problem. Through

Abstract

Garbage created from routine household activities is collected and stored in household garbage cans. Location This garbage makes rubbish collection easier to live in and helps to maintain a clean household environment. Household garbage cans are often designed to fit specific demands and feature a tight-fitting cover to keep sickness and animals out and to minimize unwanted odors. The layout To stop the spread of bacteria or fungus, something must be easy to clean. Lack of technology to monitor garbage bin fullness and inability to precisely monitor fill capacity, which can lead to trash overflow, offensive odors, and animal nuisances. Thus, volume sensorization techniques and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies are the answers to this challenge. To enable real-time waste capacity volume monitoring and to give users level information about trash charging through the Blynk platform, the system will deliver When the garbage can is full, an alarm sensor-equipped warning will ring. The Arduino IDE and the C programming language are the software used. The findings of the study demonstrate that the garbage can capacity monitoring system The information about waste filling levels that are provided in real-time by this IoT-based system is effective. By using this approach, homeowners can easily keep a clean and healthy home environment by knowing when it's time to remove the trash.
