Abstract

Islamic Higher Education has its own characteristics compared to public universities, although both implement andragogy, but the output of andragogy produced is certainly different from one another. Classroom management and learning strategies are one of the triggers of these differences. In this regard, this study aims to analyse andragogy learning at the Islamic College of Sumatra Medan, with a focus on classroom management and learning strategies. This research uses case study-based qualitative method. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results revealed that the research at the Islamic College of Sumatra showed that the andragogy classroom management model that integrates Islamic principles and technology improves the learning experience and student motivation. The use of technology supports Multimedia Cognition theory, while strategies such as individual mentoring and collaborative methods are in line with Constructivism and Social Learning theories. Challenges such as change resistance and limited resources require effective managerial approaches. The research recommends the importance of change management and resource management to improve the implementation of the andragogy model.

Abstract

The lack of sexual education in adolescents has an impact on the low ability of adolescents to protect themselves from promiscuity and the risk of sexually transmitted diseases. In this regard, this community service aims to analyse the social problems of adolescents, the application of sexual education to adolescents using e-booklets, and the impact of the application of education. This activity was carried out in the adolescent community in Pantai Labu Pekan Village, using participatory action research (PAR) methodology. The programme strategy consists of three steps, namely problem analysis, goal analysis and programme strategy analysis. The results of community service activities revealed that the initial level of understanding of adolescents before the service was carried out was still very minimal, it was evident that out of 23 adolescents, 3 participants were in the sufficient understanding category, 16 people in the poor category, and 4 people in the poor category. To increase understanding, a sexual education seminar using e-booklets was conducted, focusing on three materials, namely Islamic values, psychology, and reproductive health. The level of understanding after the service has increased, namely out of 23 participants, 11 participants are in the excellent category, 10 participants in the good category, and 2 participants in the fair category, and there are no more participants who are in the poor and unfavourable categories.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar policy in the teaching of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SD Al-Ittihadiyah Mamiyai Bromo, focusing on how this policy is applied, the challenges encountered, and the opportunities arising from it. The research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, involving data collection through observations, interviews with the principal, PAI teachers, and students, as well as documentation studies. The findings indicate that Merdeka Belajar has been successfully implemented by providing flexibility in learning, including student-centered methods and experiential learning. However, challenges such as teacher readiness, limited resources, and shifts in teaching paradigms were also identified. Despite these challenges, the implementation has shown positive outcomes in fostering deeper engagement with Islamic values and promoting students' character development. This study contributes to the existing literature by offering insights into the application of Merdeka Belajar in religious education, which is rarely discussed in previous research.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis transformasi administrasi publik dalam pengelolaan lembaga pendidikan Islam, dengan fokus pada praktik dan inovasi yang diterapkan di MTs Negeri 1 Medan. Transformasi administrasi publik menjadi kebutuhan strategis dalam meningkatkan efektivitas tata kelola lembaga pendidikan agar lebih adaptif terhadap perkembangan zaman, terutama di era digitalisasi dan otonomi pendidikan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, serta dokumentasi institusional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MTs Negeri 1 Medan telah melakukan transformasi signifikan melalui digitalisasi layanan administrasi, penerapan manajemen berbasis kinerja, dan penguatan partisipasi stakeholder. Selain itu, nilai-nilai Islam seperti amanah, keadilan, dan tanggung jawab menjadi landasan moral dalam praktik administrasi publik di lingkungan sekolah. Transformasi ini berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan transparansi, efisiensi, serta kepercayaan publik terhadap lembaga pendidikan Islam.
