Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa kelas III dengan menerapkan teknik penguatan positif (positive reinforcement) menggunakan media kartu kata. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah kesulitan siswa dalam menulis, seperti ketidakjelasan huruf, ketidaktepatan penggunaan kata, kesalahan ejaan, kurangnya kohesi antar kalimat. Hipotesis dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan kartu kata dengan penguatan positif secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah desain penelitian subjek tunggal (Single Subject Research), di mana siswa menjalani pre-test untuk menilai kemampuan awal mereka, dilanjutkan dengan tiga tahap intervensi menggunakan kartu kata, kemudian diberikan post-test untuk mengukur perkembangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan menulis pada siswa, terutama hal kejelasan huruf, ketepatan penggunaan kata, ke kalimat, dan kerapian tulisan setelah intervensi dilakukan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penguatan positif melalui media kartu kata efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa, dan dapat digunakan sebagai metode yang relevan dalam pembelajaran menulis di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Indonesia provide a unique, collective living environment that shapes student character. For orphaned students, such as those at Pondok Mahadul Yatama, this setting presents compounded challenges, requiring them to navigate the loss of parental support while adapting to a highly structured and disciplined lifestyle. This context creates significant emotional, social, and psychological pressures that necessitate a high degree of resilience. This study aims to provide an in-depth description and understanding of the lived experiences of resilience among orphaned male santri as they adapt to life at the Mahadul Yatama Pesantren. A qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach was employed. The subjects were male santri aged 12-18 who had resided at the pesantren for 2-6 months. Data were collected through in-depth, semi-structured interviews and non-participant observation. The collected data were then analyzed using a thematic analysis approach to identify recurring patterns and themes. The findings indicate that resilience among the santri is a dynamic process. Key themes emerged, including the development of personal competence through overcoming initial adaptation difficulties, a positive acceptance of change driven by peer support, and the crucial role of spiritual influences. Prayer and faith were consistently identified as primary coping mechanisms for managing feelings of homesickness and stress, serving as a significant source of inner strength.

Abstract

The transition from adolescence to early adulthood is a critical developmental phase that involves identity exploration, independence, and the pursuit of life goals. During this stage, individuals are often confronted with academic demands, social expectations, and uncertainty about the future, which can trigger emotional distress. This study examines the influence of mental health on the occurrence of quarter-life crisis among individuals in the emerging adulthood phase (18–29 years old). Using a quantitative descriptive approach, the research focuses on the relationship between mental well-being and symptoms such as future anxiety, self-doubt, and dissatisfaction with life. The findings indicate that mental health has a significant impact on an individual’s ability to cope with challenges and adapt to life transitions. Those with stable mental health show greater resilience, better decision-making, and lower vulnerability to quarter-life crisis, whereas those with poor mental health are more prone to confusion, overthinking, and pessimism about personal and professional goals. The results highlight the importance of mental health education, preventive interventions, and counseling services to help young adults manage emotional stress and navigate transitions effectively.

Abstract

Loneliness is a psychological condition commonly experienced by migrant students who must adapt to new environments far from their families. This study explores the subjective experiences of loneliness among rantau (migrant) students studying at several universities in Gresik, Indonesia. The research aims to identify the factors contributing to loneliness, its emotional and behavioral impacts, and the coping strategies adopted by students. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews with three participants from different universities: Aira (Politeknik Semen Indonesia), Citra (Universitas Internasional Semen Indonesia), and Ferismaldy (Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik). The results indicate that loneliness arises from limited intimate relationships, difficulties in communication, and emotional distance from family. Personality traits such as introversion and low self-confidence intensify feelings of isolation. The psychological effects include sadness, decreased motivation, loss of appetite, sleep disturbances, and a sense of worthlessness. However, several participants were able to reduce loneliness through positive coping mechanisms, including engaging in part-time work, joining campus organizations, and maintaining close friendships. This study concludes that loneliness among rantau students is a multidimensional experience shaped by personal, social, and environmental interactions.

Abstract

Keluarga merupakan tempat dimana individu tumbuh, berkembang dan belajar tentang nilai-nilai yang dapat membentuk kepribadian anak nantinya. Keluarga merupakan unit sosial dasar terkecil dalam masyarakat yang menentukan suatu kelompok masyarakat menjadi kelompok yang kuat, yang juga berdampak pada kuatnya bangsa dan negara. Penyelenggara pendidikan remaja sebaiknya memberikan program berbasis keluarga (parenting) serta studi kasus yang sering terjadi pada remaja. Program tersebut berfungsi untuk menumbuhkan wawasan dan keterampilan orang tua dalam memberikan pengasuhan sesuai tahapan usia anak, sehingga terjadi kesesuaian antara program di sekolah dengan aturan di rumah. Salah satu program berbasis keluarga (parenting) adalah pengelola sekolah mengadakan pelatihan atau workshop dimana orang tua, guru, dan pendidik dapat berdiskusi secara langsung untuk mengkaji perkembangan remaja berdasarkan permasalahan yang dihadapi, serta pemecahan masalah yang efektif. Pengelola sekolah dapat mengadakan seminar yang mendatangkan pakar di bidang psikologi yang dilaksanakan bekerjasama dengan Fakultas Psikologi, Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik.

Abstract

Children aged 0-6 years are a fundamental educational period because development at this age determines development at the next age, which is determined by various stimuli provided from an early age. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the jolly phonics method in improving the ability to recognize letters in five year old children using letter cards at TK X Surabaya. This type of research is experimental research in the form of Single Subject Research (SSR) using an ABAB design. The subject of this research was one of the TK X students in Surabaya. Data collection techniques in this research used pretest and posttest. The data obtained was analyzed using comparative descriptive. The results of the research show that the grades obtained by children have increased from before. At the first baseline the score was 2, and after the first intervention the child's score increased to 4. At the second baseline measurement the child obtained a score of 6, and after the second intervention the child's score increased to 8. Based on the research results, the use of the jolly phonics method is efficacious in improving children's letter recognition skills through letter cards for Kindergarten X Surabaya children.

Abstract

Mahasiswa pascasarjana yang bekerja dan sudah menikah akan lebih mengalami keterbatasan waktu, sehingga mengakibatkan terjadinya time famine. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk memberikan gambaran time famine pada mahasiswa pascasarjana yang bekerja dan sudah menikah. Penelitian ini menggunkan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan wawancara dan observasi yang dilakukan kepada dua subjek dengan significant others. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data model Miles and Huberman (1984). Kredibilitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan member check. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu kedua subjek tersebut mengalami time famine akibat adanya peran ganda. Manajemen waktu dan pemanfaatan waktu yang baik dirasa sangat dibutuhkan untuk mengurangi fenomena time famine.

Abstract

Children who still have difficulty writing because they cannot hold the pencil properly and are not stimulated properly and the absence of parents who encourage them to write at home are other contributing factors. This study aims to describe the use of serial image media in improving the writing skills of grade 4 students at MIAL-Hidayah Banjasari. This research is aqualitative research with a case study approach. The data collection tools in thisstudy are observation sheets, tests, and interview sheets. The results of the study found that the use of series image media in grade 4 MIAL-Hidayah Banjasari can improve student learning activities, students seem to have good motivation, enthusiasm and cooperation in learning. Meanwhile, the teacher factor improves teacher performance and professionalism; Student activities have increased enthusiasm in learning and discussing or collaborating with other students, positive interdependence with other students and activeness in writing superior narrative essays, the use of a series of image media to improve writing skills has increased; The improvement of the ability to write narrative essays using a series of image media in grade 4 students at MIALHidayah Banjasari is categorized as verygood

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using the traditional congklak game to improve students' arithmetic skills, particularly multiplication, while incorporating positive reinforcement as a motivational tool. Many elementary school students struggle with understanding abstract mathematical concepts, especially multiplication and division. To address this issue, a series of interventions using the congklak game were conducted. The methodology involved four sessions with a fourth-grade student from MI Al-Hidayah Banjarsari. A pre-test assessed the student"™s initial multiplication ability, followed by interventions using congklak, and concluding with a post-test to measure improvement. Throughout the sessions, positive reinforcement"”such as praise and rewards"”was given to maintain the student"™s motivation and focus. The results showed significant progress in the student's ability to perform multiplication, as evidenced by a quicker of problems in the post-test compared to the pre-test. The use of positive reinforcement was effective in maintaining the student"™s motivation during the learning process. In conclusion, the congklak game, combined with positive reinforcement, proved to be an engaging and interactive method for enhancing multiplication skills and could serve as a creative teaching strategy in mathematics education.
