Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis teks, koteks, dan konteks pada Koran (Surat Kabar) Radar Banten edisi 223 tahun 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah sebuah wacana yang berjudul “Gaji P3K Terancam Tak Terserap” yang terdapat pada Koran (Surat Kabar) Radar Banten edisi 223 tahun 2020. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara studi dokumentasi, dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan tujuh paragraf, enam teks, lima koteks, dan dua konteks yang dapat dianalisis. The purpose of this study was to analyze the text, context, and context of the Radar Banten Newspaper 223 edition 2020. This study used a qualitative analysis method. The data in this study is a discourse entitled "P3K Salary Threatened Not Absorbed" contained in the Radar Banten Newspaper 223 edition 2020. Data collection was carried out by means of case studies, from research found in seven paragraphs, six texts and five contexts. , and two contexts that can be analyzed. Keywords: conversation, context, text, newspaper, discourse.

Abstract

Discourse analysis has been noticed by several language researchers and educators over the past two decades. This study aims to analyze the use of discourse analysis on film as a medium of learning in improving students' critical thinking skills, especially in learning discourse analysis. Rudy Habibie's film is used as a medium for this analysis. The conceptual framework framework for Fairclough was adopted in this study, with a focus on analyzing meso-level critical discourse. This study explores how discursively formed in the process of production, distribution, and consumption in the film Rudy Habibie. This finding illustrates various behaviors taken from the Rudy Habibie film which aims to express stereotypes, prejudices, hegemony, power, and ideological attitudes. The ideology presented leads the audience through the film's story as a result of text production, distribution, and consumption. Representation contributes to building social strength. Furthermore, this research is believed to have implications for language teaching, especially in discourse analysis. The application of a critical discourse analysis approach in learning makes students able to understand the writer, find meaning and reason about certain writing styles and to enhance their critical thinking.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the grammatical and lexical aspects in the lyrics of the song Jangan Rubah Takdirku by Andmesh Kamelang. The research method uses microstructural methods. The collection technique uses documentation techniques by downloading the song Jangan Rubah Takdirku via Youtube. The main instrument in this research is the researcher who is assisted by a device. Data analysis techniques by means of data reduction, data tabulation, data display, interpretation, and conclusions. Test the validity of the data using membercheck and validation from literary experts. The results showed that the grammatical and lexical aspects in the lyrics of the song Jangan Rubah Takdirku, sung by Andmesh Kamelang, present a deep meaning about the life journey of a person who is full of hard work, loyalty, and hope of love for someone he loves. Grammatical aspects and lexical aspects build up each other so that the song Jangan Rubah Takdirku becomes a song that impresses the listeners. The grammatical aspect found in the song is referencing marked by the presence of the word dia and impingement by the presence of each word. Then, the lexical aspect that was found was repetition which was marked by the presence of the words I want, in each, and I did not, and synomini was marked by the presence of the words weak and shaky.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah salah satu pendekatan linguistik yaitu analisis wacana kritis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mmengetahui struktur yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu “Usik” karya Feby Putri menggunakan teori analisis wacana Van Djik. Teknik dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga teknik, yaitu teknik pengumpulan data, analisis data, dan penyajian hasil. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa struktur yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu “Usik” adalah Struktur makro yang memuat unsur tematik menunjukkan bahwa lagu ini bertemakan tentang hak kesetaraan manusia. Superstruktur yang memuat unsur skematik menunjukkan adanya judul/ lead serta story dari lirik lagu. Struktur mikro memuat unsur semantik, sintaksis, stilistik dan retoris. Unsur semantik lirik lagu tersebut menunjukkan adanya latar, detail serta maksud dari lirik lagu tersebut. Unsur sintaksis lirik lagu tersebut memuat pola kalimat, koherensi dan kata ganti. Unsur stilistik menunjukkan pemilihan kata dan bunyi pada lirik lagu tersebut. Sedangkan unsur retoris lirik lagu tersebut menunjukkan adanya penekanan makna yang lebih mendalam. Penelitian ini juga membahas mengenai kognisi sosial dari sang pencipta lagu, serta konteks sosial yang dirasakan oleh masyarakat yang mendengar atau membaca.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of gamer videos on YouTube on the acquisition of noun vocabulary among elementary school children. Using a qualitative approach, the study examines how children's interaction with gaming video content affects their vocabulary development. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 5 children, participatory observation, and video transcript analysis. The results indicate that children who regularly watch gamer videos show significant improvement in their understanding and use of new noun vocabulary. These findings highlight the potential of digital media as a language learning tool, emphasizing the importance of appropriate content supervision.

Abstract

The language used for interaction can be characterized by symbols that are arbitrary in nature. Indonesia, with its vast linguistic diversity, often experiences phenomena like code mixing in daily conversations, which reflects the dynamic interplay between different languages. One setting where this can be observed is in podcasts, which are increasingly popular in Indonesia. In the podcast "Agak Laen," uploaded to YouTube on July 17, 2023, titled Batak Satu Ini kan Yang Kalian Tunggu-tunggu, Raditya Dika, the conversation showcases a blend of languages, a common occurrence in Indonesia's multilingual environment. This study employs a qualitative research method with descriptive analysis to explore the use of multiple languages in the podcast. The analysis reveals that three languages are predominantly used: Indonesian, English, and the Medan regional language. Through these languages, various instances of code mixing emerge, illustrating how speakers fluidly transition between languages during casual conversations. The data collection was conducted using the Listen and Note Technique, which enabled the identification of several notable instances of code mixing throughout the podcast video. This research highlights the natural blending of languages in media content, emphasizing the linguistic hybridity prevalent in modern Indonesian communication, especially in the digital realm. Podcasts like Agak Laen serve as a rich source for analyzing how speakers navigate multilingualism, reflecting broader social and cultural patterns in language use in contemporary Indonesia.

Abstract

Van Dijk's Critical Discourse Analysis (AWK) on text structure (macro, superstructure, and micro) in the Speech of the Minister of Education Nadiem Makarim on Teacher's Day 2022 is shown by the theme in Nadiem Makarim's speech is an invitation to innovate to realize Independent Learning. The superstructure in the Speech of the Minister of Education Nadiem Makarim on Teacher's Day 2022 consists of a scheme which includes introduction, content and closing; semantics which includes background, detail, and purpose; and presuppositions. The microstructure found in the Speech of the Minister of Education Nadiem Makarim on Teacher's Day 2022 is a graphic lexicon and rhetoric.

Abstract

From the norm stratum analysis, it can be seen that the Anthology of Mother Poems and Blood Coffee of Soldiers by Rahmat Heldy HS, is a medium of enlightenment created by him for all people in order to provide goodness as a legacy for children and grandchildren who will replace the current generation in the future. Any problems that occur in this beloved country should not need to be resolved with bloodshed, disputes and selfishness. As a country that has faith and law, in every problem it faces, it always clings to God because what happens is God's will. If the law of this country cannot solve a problem then leave everything to the fairest law, namely the law of the hereafter. The socio-cultural setting is also found in several poems created by the poet related to the situation and conditions in an area in Indonesia, namely Banten province. Telling the story of Cilegon city, Sawarna village, Binuangeun village, Lebak regency whose lives are very concerning because the officials who are the objects in the poet's poems are described as busy with good names by building caring characters in the community but ignoring the actual situation. In addition, the socio-cultural setting in the poetry anthology Ibu and Darah Kopi Para Serdadu is still very thick with sultanate culture as it is known that the previous sultans were very noble in the eyes of the Banten people because of their love for the community not because of their love for positions and power.

Abstract

The State of Psychology in the Main Figures in the novel Negri 5 Menara and novel Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi (Psychological Study of Literature and Its Implications for Learning Indonesian in High School). The purpose of this study was to describe the psychological state of the main character in the novel Negri 5 Menara and novel Rantau 1 Muara by Ahmad Fuadi, namely the character Alif who has an unyielding attitude and is persistent in fighting. The psychological state experienced by the main character in the novel Negri 5 Menara and the novelRantau 1 Muara includes das es (id), das ich (ego), and das ueber ich (superego). The method used is descriptive qualitative research.The results of the analysis on the novel Negri 5 Menara andnovel Rantau 1 MuaraAhmad Fuadi's work shows that the main character's personality is influenced by Id, Ego, and Super ego.
