Abstract

Compost fertilizer is the result of weathering foliage, straw, reeds, grass, animal manure, municipal garbage and so on. The use of compost is very important because it can be used as one of the planting media needed to provide adequate nutrition to every growing plant. Community service is carried out to utilize science and technology through counseling on the introduction of compost. This activity consists of preparation, socialization activities in the form of delivering material, and discussion or question and answer. The material presented contains knowledge related to compost, the benefits of compost, materials and how to make compost. This activity was attended by 40 members of the Gowa Branch of the Kwartir Scouts which was carried out at the H. M. Yasin Limpo Campground, Pa'bentengan Village, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi Province. received excellent response and enthusiasm from counseling participants. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the participants starting from the provision of material and questions and answers about compost fertilizer and how to make it.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kemandirian desa dengan meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan teknologi mesin cetak pelet ikan nila, sehingga dapat meningkatkan produktivitas dan daya saing lokal. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini melibatkan koordinasi dengan Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Takalar dan Kelompok Bokape Fish Farm, pengambilan data dan dokumentasi awal, serta sosialisasi penggunaan mesin cetak pelet ikan. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Desa Bontokaddopepe pada 23 Agustus 2024 sebagai bagian dari program Pemberdayaan Berbasis Masyarakat oleh DRTPM, melibatkan Tim PKM dan dua mahasiswa UIT. Kegiatan ini, diikuti oleh seluruh anggota Kelompok Bokape Fish Farm berjumlah 11 orang, menggunakan metode sosialisasi untuk menjelaskan spesifikasi dan cara kerja mesin cetak pelet tipe MKS-PLT 25. Hasil yang didapatkan yakni sosialisasi menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan teknis dan kepercayaan diri peserta, memungkinkan mereka untuk memproduksi pakan ikan secara mandiri, mengurangi biaya operasional, dan meningkatkan kualitas pakan serta daya saing di pasar budidaya ikan nila. Kegiatan ini memberdayakan masyarakat Desa untuk menciptakan pakan berkualitas dan terjangkau, serta memperkuat ekonomi desa dengan mengurangi ketergantungan pada pakan komersial.

Abstract

The journalistic code of ethics is very important because it functions as a guide for journalists in carrying out their duties. There are several main reasons why a journalistic code of ethics is very important: a) Maintaining Public Trust: A code of ethics helps journalists maintain integrity and credibility in conveying information, so that the public continues to trust the media; c) Preventing the Spread of Hoax News: By adhering to the principles of accuracy, verification and balance, journalists can avoid the spread of fake news or hoaxes that can mislead the public; d) Upholding Objectivity and Neutrality: The code of ethics emphasizes the importance of being impartial in news coverage, so that the information conveyed is not influenced by certain interests; e) Protecting Human Rights and Privacy: The code of ethics prevents journalists from spreading information that violates someone's privacy rights or harms certain parties without clear and justifiable reasons; f) Avoid Abuse of Media Power: The media has great power in shaping public opinion. The code of ethics aims to ensure that this power is not misused for personal, political or certain group interests; g) Guarantee Professionalism in Journalism: The code of ethics establishes high standards for journalists in their work, so that this profession remains respected and appreciated by society. Abstract

Sejak tahun 1975 tanaman kecipir sudah diprediksikan menjadi bahan hayati yang memiliki segudang manfaat di masa depan dan bernilai ekonomi yang tinggi. Penggunaan tanaman kecipir sebagai bahan panganan lokal dapat ditingkatkan lagi dengan melakukan pengembangan hasil produk olahannya. Pengembangan produk perlu diarahkan untuk menciptakan suatu produk baru yang memiliki beberapa sifat yang diminati oleh masyarakat. Maka dari itu, terdapat inovasi untuk menjadi solusi dari kurang diminatinya biji kecipir di kalangan masyarakat adalah dengan membuat produk olahan brownies maupun biskuit. Biji kecipir sebelum dijadikan sebagai adonan brownies atau biscuit dibuat menjadi tepung terlebih dahulu. Penelitian ini memiliki dua tujuan, yaitu untuk mengetahui daya terima panelis terhadap brownies tepung biji kecipir dengan tambahan bubuk kayu manis dan untuk mengetahui kadar protein brownies tepung biji kecipir dengan tambahan bubuk kayu manis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah uji organoleptik dengan kategori penilaian 1-5 dan pengujian kadar protein. Tambahan bubuk kayu manis terbukti berpengaruh terhadap rasa, aroma, dan tekstur pada brownies tepung kecipir. Tambahan bubuk kayu manis sebanyak 15 gr menghasilkan peningkatan kadar protein yang terkandung di dalam brownies.

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to improve digital literacy and facilitate the use of communication applications (such as WhatsApp and Facebook) to support group coordination and agricultural product marketing. The method used was a participatory action learning approach through three stages: an initial survey (pre-test), interactive training and simulation, and a final evaluation (post-test). Respondents were 45 people from active farmer groups in the area. The results of the activity showed an increase in average digital literacy and increased use of digital applications for agriculture. The training also encouraged the formation of farmer group WhatsApp groups and product promotion through social media. The conclusion of this activity is that contextual training and intensive mentoring can encourage digital transformation in agriculture, despite challenges such as limited devices and internet connections. Similar interventions are highly recommended for implementation in other agricultural areas.

Abstract

Empowerment of Kampili Village Community Economy Through Innovative Cincau Drinks The utilization of cincau as a fiber-rich food ingredient in Kampili Village is still limited, even though the current beverage trend opens significant economic opportunities. This community service aims to empower the economy of the Kampili Village community through the program "Management of Innovative Cincau-Based Beverages." The implementation method included socializing the economic potential of cincau and providing technical training on processing cincau into innovative drink products, such as Cincau Cappuccino, which was conducted at the Kampili Village Hall on April 30, 2025. The activity was attended by 25 participants consisting of PKK mothers and Karang Taruna youth. The evaluation results showed that 85% of participants successfully mastered the practical skills of cincau processing, and there was a significant increase in understanding of entrepreneurial aspects, including hygiene, market potential, cost calculation, and packaging strategies. This program succeeded in fostering entrepreneurial enthusiasm and laid the foundation for the development of innovative cincau drink businesses as an alternative income source, thereby contributing to the economic improvement of the Kampili Village community.

Abstract

Gunung Silanu Village has abundant potential for breadfruit harvests, but its utilization is still limited to the sale of raw fruit with low economic value. The main problems faced by partners are the rapid deterioration of the fruit after harvest and a lack of skills in food processing technology. This Community Service Program (PKM) activity aims to provide farmer groups and housewives with skills in processing breadfruit into flour. Methods used included outreach, hands-on training, and packaging assistance. The activity results showed an 80% increase in participants' understanding of the hygienic breadfruit flour production process. The resulting breadfruit flour has the potential to replace wheat flour as a raw material for local home industries, directly increasing the economic value of breadfruit and supporting food security in Gunung Silanu Village.
