Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas komunikasi organisasi pada Klinik Konsultasi Agribisnis (KKA) Kecamatan Landono Kabupaten Konawe.  Penelitian ini dilaksananan pada bulan Mei sampai Juli 2018. Variabel yang diamati terdiri dari karakteristik responden dan komunikasi organisasi yang meliputi komunikasi ke atas (Upward Communication) dan komunikasi ke bawah (Horizontal Communication). Data yang dikumpulkan terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan dengan cara tabulasi menggunakan interval kelas. Data yang dikumpulkan diperoleh melalui wawancara terhadap resonden dengan menggunakan kuisioner, pencatatan dan dokumentasi. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah penyuluh yang berjumlah 10 orang yang bekerja pada Klinik Konsultasi Agribisnis (KKA) Kecamatan Landono Kabupaten Konawe Selatan.  Hasil penelitin menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi organisasi yang terjadi di KKA Kecamatan Landono Kabupaten Konawe Selatan dengan kategori komunikasi ke bawah berada pada kategori efektif, Sedangkan komunikasi ke atas dan komunikasi horizontal berada pada kategori sangat efektif.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berjudul “Alternatif Peningkatan Pendapatan Masyarakat Nelayan Melalui Olahan Bakso Ikan Rumput Laut Sebagai Inovasi Makanan Sehat Dan Rendah Lemak Di Desa Torokeku Kecamatan Tinanggea Kabupaten Konawe Selatan” bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat di Desa Torokeku, mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat nelayan melalui olahan bakso ikan rumput laut sebagai inovasi makanan sehat dan rendah lemak di Desa Torokeku, dan mengetahui proses pengolahan bakso ikan rumput laut. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian melalui 3 tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan tahapan evaluasi. Hasil pelatihan diharapkan peserta pengabdian tertarik mengikuti pelatihan-pelatihan diversifikasi olahan bakso ikan rumput laut, sehingga dapat membuka wawasan khalayak sasaran yang memiliki kemampuan untuk mengolah hasil-hasil laut yang ada di lokasi mereka khususnya rumput laut dan mampu memasarkan produk yang dihasilkan, bahkan dapat dapat dipasarkan secara online melalui penggunaan atau pemanfaatan media elektronik atau internet sehingga mampu menjangkau pasar yang lebih luas dengan biaya rendah,  dan pada sasaran kegiatan adalah terbentuknya kemandirian mitra dalam hal jaringan pemasaran, secara lebih luas, sehingga mitra memiliki media promosi produk aneka olahan ikan dalam bentuk brosur/leaflet, CD promosi, serta website, aneka olahan bakso ikan rumput laut yang diproduksi oleh mitra dapat dikemas dengan kemasan sesuai standar kemasan, proses produksi pembuatan olahan bakso ikan rumput laut dapat terjaga higienisnya dengan peralatan khusus untuk pembuatan olahan bakso ikan rumput  sehingga sasaran kegiatan hasilnya berdampak pada peningkatan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan keluarga.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 telah memukul perekonomian nelayan Sama Bajo di Kelurahan Bungkutoko, karena adanya kebijakan pembatasan gerak (physical distancing) oleh pemerintah daerah Sulawesi Tenggara. Salah satu kendala yang dihadapi adalah minimnya informasi yang sampai di masyarakat Sama Bajo terkait COVID-19. Adanya nilai- nilai inward looking orang Bajo yakni nilai-nilai Sama-Bagai menyebabkan informasi terkait COVID-19 dan protokol kesehatan untuk mencegah penularan tidak sepenuhnya dipahami oleh komunitas nelayan Sama Bajo. Menyadari tantangan pencegahan COVID-19 di era new normal, pengabdian masyarakat ini akan medesiminasikan informasi terkait COVID-19 dan protokol kesehatan dalam bentuk media komunikasi visual poster berbahasa Sama Bajo untuk memudahkan penyampaian informasi terkait COVID-19 di era new normal dan mengurangi resiko nelayan Sama Bajo di Kelurahan Bungkutoko agar terhindar dari penyakit COVID-19. Tim pengabdian telah melaksanakan kegiatan diseminasi informasi melalui media visual berupa poster dengan menggunakan bahasa daerah Sama Bajo sebagai unsur vital untuk meningkatkan efektivitas media tersebut dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap positif terhadap pencegahan COVID-19. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan di komunitas Sama Bajo Kelurahan Bungkutoko pada hari Rabu tanggal 29 Juli 2020, dengan jumlah sasaran kegiatan sebanyak 30 KK. Untuk menguatkan sikap positif untuk melawan COVID-19, tim pengabdian selain melakukan kegiatan penempelan poster dari rumah ke rumah, tim juga melakukan penyuluhan singkat dan pembagian paket alat pelindung diri. Untuk mekanisme evaluasi, tim pengabdian akan melakukan penelitian terkait efektivitas media visual poster dalam mendesiminasikan informasi kepada komunitas nelayan Sama Bajo yang cenderung eksklusif dan inward looking.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Competence of Agricultural Elucidator Workers through Maize Extension Activity at Labuan Village Wakorumba District of North Buton Regency. This research conducted in February 2014. Location of this research took place at Labuan village of North Wakorumba District North Buton Regency. The population of this study was the agricultural elucidator at Labuan village amount one person and 9 people of corn farmers that taken intentionally as the informants key with consideration attended counseling activities. Variables that watch in this study were: (1) The identity of the Agricultural Elucidator that consist of age, elucidator formal education experience, also the number of dependents. (2) The competence of Agricultural Elucidator technical that consist of the selection and the using of improved seed, fertilizer and pest control, and plant disease method; managerial competencies that consist of the timing of planting and fertilizing; communication competencies consist of delivery in extension activities and giving examples/demonstration method during extension activities. This research used qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. Technical competence of elucidator shows the knowledge of science that covers agricultural cultivation selection and the using of quality seeds, good fertilization, and control of pests and plant diseases. Selection and procurement of quality seeds and good fertilizers located in the middle category. Managerial competence of Elucidator in the timing of planting at the high category while the timing of fertilizer application in the middle category. Communication competence is the knowledge of employees to communicate well which use messages that considered appropriate and effective. The competence of Elucidator communication in delivering information and methods of a demonstration in the high category.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to know: 1) The communication network in post-harvest technology of cassava; 2) The role of members on the communication network in post-harvest technology of cassava; 3) The main information by each member of group communication in post-harvest technology of cassava. The number of samples is 23 person by census method. The data were tabulated and further analyzed by descriptive qualitative. Knowing the correlation each member which involved in the communication network are using sociometric arranged in a matrix, will be formed sociogram (netting system). Results of that research has shown: 1) Communication network is formed by cassava is highly varied: The majority of respondents getting information by 1-2 sources as many as 86,96%, and 13,04% respondent getting information of three source; 2) Each members a group on communication network of post-harvest technology of cassava has different role, such as: (a) Agriculture of extension (PPL) as outliers (isolated), (b) a farmer as liaison, (c) Community leaders as a bridge, and (d) Fellow farmers as a star; and 3) The information conveyed by each member in the communication network of information related to post-harvest technology of cassava storage techniques that are complementary. The information is including materials are using to store, best storage, and storage procedures.

Abstract

The process of delivering information carried out by agricultural extension workers to vegetable farmers requires an appropriate communication pattern to increase the level of knowledge of target farmers. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between communication patterns of agricultural extension workers and vegetable farmers in Tobuuha Village. The study population consisted of all vegetable farmers in Tobuuha Village, which amounted to 20 farmers and one field agricultural extension worker. The research sample was determined by the census method, resulting in a sample size of 21 individuals. Data were collected through survey techniques, interviews, and the use of documentation, with the assistance of media in the form of questionnaires. This study is a quantitative research study. The data were processed using descriptive analysis through the use of the class interval formula and correlation analysis through the Spearman Rank formula, with the help of SPSS Software Version 26. The research findings indicate that the communication patterns of agricultural extension workers with vegetable farmers in Tobuuha Village encompass one-way, two-way, and multi-directional communication patterns. One-way communication patterns and multi-way communication patterns are classified as medium, while two-way communication patterns are classified as high. The level of knowledge of vegetable farmers is classified as medium based on indicators of understanding, application, and analysis. While the level of knowledge of vegetable farmers based on indicators of knowing is in the low category, the relationship between communication patterns of agricultural extension workers and the level of knowledge of vegetable farmers is statistically significant (0.046) and positive (0.691). This indicates that the more effective the communication patterns employed by agricultural extension workers, the greater the likelihood of increased knowledge among vegetable farmers.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the role of farmer group communication on the capacity of members of the paddy rice group in Baruga Village, Baruga District, Kendari City. The population under investigation consisted of all members of the paddy rice farmer group, which numbered 16 groups with a total membership of 160 farmers. The research sample was determined using the Slovin formula, with a confidence level of 90% or 10% of the total population sampled. This resulted in a sample size of 54 respondents. Data collection techniques employed survey methods, interviews, and documentation using research instruments in the form of questionnaires. The research employed a quantitative approach, utilizing quantitative descriptive analysis through the application of the class interval formula and the Spearman rank correlation formula, with the assistance of the SPSS software version 26. The findings indicated that the communication role within the rice paddy farmer group in Baruga Village, Baruga District, Kendari City, with respect to the information aspect, was categorized as "available," the learning aspect was categorized as "active," and the intensity of discussion was categorized as "frequent." The capacity of paddy rice farmer group members for the knowledge aspect is in the knowing category, the attitude aspect is in the adequate category, and the skill aspect is in the skillful category. The relationship between the role of farmer group communication in increasing the capacity of members of the paddy rice farmer group is evident when examining the role of information access to attitudes, the role of learning classes to knowledge, attitudes, and skills, and the role of discussion intensity to knowledge, attitudes, and skills. Each of these relationships is significant, while the role of information access to knowledge and skills does not demonstrate a significant relationship.
