Abstract

UNoise and vibration tests on ships are important things to pay attention to on ships for crew comfort. If these two things are not paid attention to, it can have an impact on the safety and health of the ship's crew and the construction of the ship itself. This test also aims to determine the human response to vibrations on the ship. This noise and vibration test is carried out during the sea trial process, which is carried out by the classification party. Test case study using TB objects. Marina 2229 which carries out the repair process at the shipyard located in Batam. The purpose of this test is to determine the suitability of the noise test results according to SOLAS 1974 Chapter II-1 part-A and vibration according to ISO 6954: 2000. The test is carried out using qualitative methods, where the results of this test are in the form of numbers, as well as direct observations in the field. The results obtained in all sections are a value interval of 74.1 - 107.1 dB. The noise value does not exceed the permitted SOLAS standard, namely <140 dB. Meanwhile, the vibration test obtained a value range of 0.4 - 3.4. All values obtained still meet ISO standards.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Ship transportation is the primary mode of trade and transportation at sea in the maritime industry. Initially, humans employed ships as a method of pursuing and capturing fish or animals in aquatic environments. As the ship era progresses, it actively engages in all aspects pertaining to ships. Presently, the ship is propelled by its engine, which is a significant improvement over its initial reliance on wood or oars. In addition to engines, propellers are employed to transform the rotational motion of the engine into propulsive force in the marine environment. Propellers are also present on aircraft, serving the same purpose but positioned at various locations in the air. A thruster is a hybrid device that combines an engine and a propeller. This sort of thruster is specifically designed for use on tiny boats or prototypes, for the purpose of simulating, exhibiting, or participating in contests. ESC is a component that facilitates the alteration of the input value to the intended velocity. In addition to their primary function of fulfilling food requirements, ships are presently employed in diverse capacities, including military vessels, tourist vessels, submarines, passenger ships, and more.

Abstract

Cradle, a lifting device used to move the Cockpit head and other aircraft parts. The aim of this research is to obtain maximum data on the cradle structure through static simulation using SolidWorks 2020 software. The research was carried out by simulation using SolidWorks 2020 software with analysis of stress, strain and safety factor calculations for the cradle structure in supporting a static load of 1400 kg. The cradle design process was made using SolidWorks software, with the cradle size being 338 cm long, 145 cm wide at the top and 297 cm at the bottom, and using ASTM A36 type channel iron material with dimensions of 150 mm x 75 mm x 6.5 mm with loading. static of 1400 kg. The simulation results show that the maximum pressure value applied to the cradle with ASTM A36 steel material is 50.206 Mpa, below the yield strength value of 250 Mpa. The maximum displacement recorded was 1,169 mm, indicating that the deformation that occurred in the cradle structure was very minimal. With a maximum cradle capacity weighing 6.97 tons and a maximum wheel load capacity of 2.7 tons

Abstract

This study aims to test the performance of the Batam Marine Ambulance model as a medical and logistics support fleet using the comparison ship method. A series of stability and motion analysis processes were carried out, then the results were assessed to determine the best design among the proposed design options. Performance tests used three ship models (Model I, Model II, and Model III). It is known that in the stability test, the tilt angle of model III is 33.63° and the maximum GZ value is 4.673 cm. Then, in the resistance test, Model I has a lower resistance of 87.29 N and the required power is 1496.93 W compared to the other proposed models. In the seakeeping test, Model III was found to be more stable or less affected on all surface conditions because the RAO value was relatively lower, namely 90o in terms of heaving, rolling, and pitching at 135o and 180o then had lower additional resistance. The Model III design has good ship stability, drag, and seakeeping characteristics.

Abstract

Amed Beach located in East Bali is a popular tourist destination known for its beautiful beaches and attractive beach clubs. As an innovative effort to support the local economy, a floating club with a futuristic club concept was constructed in this area. The floating club is designed to attract more tourists and aligns with the regional regulations of Karangasem Regency in infrastructure development. Its design takes into account operational capacity on land by calculating displacement, deadweight, and lightweight. The main dimensions of the floating club are LoA = 40 m, B = 40 m, H = 2.25 m, and T = 1.5 m, with a capacity of 200 visitors and 50 crew members per day. Additionally, layout design, general arrangement, and 3D modeling were planned, with a total construction cost of Rp. 23,012,974,239. The floating club is moored using a spread mooring system for stability.
