Abstract

Design or designing is a process of planning and creating a new object which is carried out by taking into account various aspects which include beauty, symmetry, and aesthetics as well as various other aspects. The design process can also be referred to as visual problem solving which includes organizing, creating, and evaluating to produce the desired work. An award charter is a media that contains writing in the form of an official statement and is used as a form of appreciation for one's achievements or accomplishments. The award certificate is created through the design process first, where all ideas are conveyed through the creation of objects in the design. In designing the charter design, the concept of transformation geometry can be applied to get changes in location and presentation based on several types of transformations, so that later a design will be produced according to the needs and desires. The types of transformation geometry that will be used include translation, rotation, reflection, and dilation. The concept of this transformation geometry is used in the design and determination of the charter design to be given to BPKP Aceh Representative employees who excel.

Abstract

This article discusses the application of Cauchy's Residue Theorem to improper integrals of real functions. The theorem states that the integral along a simple closed contour is equal to 2i times the sum of the residues of the function at single points located inside the contour. Furthermore, the article describes various methods for determining the residues, including the use of Laurent series and Taylor series. In addition, Jordan's lemma is also referenced in this article. Cauchy's Residue Theorem on improper integrals can be employed to resolve integrals that are challenging to compute using traditional real analysis methods. By identifying the residue of the integral at a singularity within a closed contour, the integral along the contour can be evaluated. The application of the residue theorem to improper integrals can be expressed in a specific form to facilitate calculation. This method offers several advantages over conventional methods. Abstract

Population prediction is an estimate of the population in the future based on assumptions from the population growth rate. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the population in Banda Aceh City is increasing every year with an average growth of around 2%. The purpose of this research is to predict the population in Banda Aceh City using the Laplace transformation on exponential model. The exponential model is a simple model to describe population growth patterns. Using Laplace transformation can easily get a difinitive analytic solution. The Laplace transformation of the exponential model is used to calculate the growth rate with data on the population of Banda Aceh City in 2015-2022. Based on the results of the study, the value of the growth rate (r) is obtained from determining the precentage error (MAPE) of each model to determine the predicted value that is closest to the actual value. So, model VII is the most accurate with a value (r) is 0,00412. The result of this study also show that model VII is used to predict the population in Banda Aceh City in 2030 when is 266.259 people.

Abstract

Abstract

Unemployment is a condition where a person who is included in the labor force but does not have a job and is not actively looking for work. The number of unemployed is measured using the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) indicator. OUR is obtained by comparing the number of job seekers and the number of labor force. This study aims to obtain a model of OUR in each district / city of Sumatra Island and what factors influence it using the Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) method and Fixed Gaussian Kernel Function weighting, and describe predictor variables on thematic maps. The GWR method is one of the statistical methods that can prevent the presence of spatial aspects in the data. The parameters estimated by the local regression model vary at each location point and are estimated using the Weighted Least Square (WLS) method. Based on the research results obtained from this study, the GWR models obtained amounted to 154 different local models in each district / city on the island of Sumatra. Variables Labor Force Participation Rate, Population Growth Rate, Population Density and Average Years of Schooling have a significant influence on each location, meanwhile variable Percentage of Poor Population and variable Poverty Line have no influence on any location. These variables are able to explain the OUR by 57.2%, where the remaining 42.8% is explained by other factors that are not explained in the model.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the Minimum Demand Method (MDM) in determining an initial feasible solution (IBFS) for the Rastra rice distribution problem managed by Perum Bulog in West Sumatra, Indonesia. Unlike traditional methodsNorth-West Corner (NWC), Least Cost (LC), and Vogels Approximation Method (VAM)MDM prioritizes allocation to destinations with the smallest demand, aiming to minimize cost fragmentation and improve solution quality. The original transportation model was unbalanced, requiring a dummy source to achieve feasibility. IBFS values were computed using POM-QM for Windows 4, followed by optimality verification via the Modified Distribution (MODI) method. Results show MDM yields the lowest total cost at IDR 25,227,010, outperforming NWC (IDR 27,967,340), LC (IDR 25,821,810), and VAM (IDR 25,821,810). MODI confirmed MDMs solution as optimal, with zero improvement indices, validating its efficiency. Compared to the next-best method, MDM achieves a 2.3% cost reduction, and a 9.8% saving relative to NWC. This confirms MDMs superiority in generating high-quality IBFS without increasing computational complexity. The study demonstrates that MDM is not only simple and intuitive but also highly effective for large-scale public logistics systems, offering a practical alternative to conventional techniques in real-world distribution planning.
