Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh letak biji yang berbeda pada buah dan penurunan kadar air benih terhadap viabilitas dan vigor benih kakao. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap pola faktorial dengan tiga ulangan. Ada 2 faktor yang diteliti yaitu faktor letak biji pada buah (L) yang terdiri dari dari 3 taraf yaitu : (L₁) benih bagian pangkal, (L₂) benih bagian tengah, (L₃) benih bagian ujung. Sedangkan faktor yang kedua adalah : pengeringan benih (P) yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu : (P₀) tanpa pengeringan, (P₁) pengeringan 1 hari, (P₂) pengeringan 2 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perlakuan letak biji berpengaruh nyata terhadap nilai viabilitas dan vigor benih yang diamati, kecuali terhadap nilai potensi tumbuh benih dan berat kering kecambah normal. Perlakuan terbaik dijumpai pada perlakuan letak biji di bahagian tengah buah (L2). Perlakuan pengeringan berpengaruh nyata terhadap nilai viabilitas dan vigor benih yang diamati, kecuali terhadap nilai potensi tumbuh benih dan berat kering kecambah normal. Perlakuan terbaik dijumpai pada perlakuan benih yang dikering anginkan selama 2 hari tengah buah (P2).Tidak terdapat terdapat interaksi yang nyata antara perlakuan letak biji dan perlakuan pengeringan benih kakao terhadap semua tolok ukur viabilitas dan vigor benih kakao yang diamati. Keywords: Cocoa seeds, viabilitas, vigor, drying time

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of normal concrete mixing time and the addition of fosroc addictive substance on the compressive strength of concrete. The stirring time was varied for 3 different times, namely 3, 8, and 20 minutes, where from each time variation the compressive strength of the concrete was tested. This research was conducted by comparing the stirring time of 3, 8, and 20 minutes. The results of testing the compressive strength of concrete aged 28 days for concrete with normal concrete stirring time of 3 minutes 27.55 MPa, 8 minutes 30.38 MPa, 20 minutes 29.40 MPa, and concrete with additional Fosroc 3 minutes 30.19 MPa, 8 minutes 29.44 MPa, 20 minutes 20.57 MPa. And on the results of the slump test for concrete with a normal mixing time of 3 minutes 4.5 cm, 8 minutes 7.5 cm, 20 minutes 4 cm, and concrete with additional Fosroc 3 minutes 4 cm, 8 minutes 5 cm, 20 minutes 3, 5 cm. From these results, the standard planned for k250 concrete is 26 MPa, in this study the average compressive strength achieved the planned results, except for a time variation of 20 minutes with the addition of fosroc which was below the planned one, which was 20.57 MpaKeywords: Stirring time, compressive strength

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of personnel workload at the ATC (Air Traffic Center) to service quality of ATC using quantitative approach. The data was collected using a questionnaire, to grasp the respondents’ perception. The population of this study are those who work in ATC, Jakarta, Indonesia. Purposive sampling technique is employed in this study. The number of the respondents of this study are 20 persons comprising, air traffic control staff and managers. The data was analyzed using SPSS. . The result shows that there is a significant influence on personnel workload at the control area unit to service quality of air traffic center in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to develop guidelines for empathetic communication methods for teachers and students in preventing gender bias microaggressions based on flip book media. This research method uses Hannafin and Peck's model development research. This development research applies steps starting from the stages of needs analysis, design, product development, material and media expert testing, revision, and user testing. The subjects of this study were 20 elementary school teachers in Makassar City. The research data collection technique uses a needs analysis questionnaire, expert validation, and user trials in the form of a Google form using a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques using descriptive and reflective data analysis. The results showed that the teacher's level of need for digital guidance was 90% and was categorized as feasible through validation by media and material experts at 90% and through the user test process with a high level of media feasibility. This shows that the teach-smart digital guide is appropriate in reducing and preventing microaggressions caused by the teacher's gender bias behavior in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Brand Awareness, Product Quality, and Word of Mouth on XL Prime Card Purchase Decisions in Bogor City. The purposes of this study are (1) to determine and analyze the effect of brand awareness on purchasing decisions of xl starter packs. (2) To find out and analyze the effect of product quality on purchasing decisions of xl starter packs. (3) To find out and analyze the effect of word of mouth on the purchasing decision of the xl starter pack. The number of samples used in this study were 200 respondents, taken from those who used XL starter packs and those who had used XL starter packs. The tool used to collect data is a questionnaire with results, which were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Moment Structure Analysis (AMOS) version 24.0. It is used to test three research hypotheses. The results showed that the value of the Goodness of Fit criteria was Chi-Square = 176.026; Significance Probability = 0.046 ; RMSEA = 0.032 ; GFI = 0.918 ; AGFI = 0.872 ; CMIIN/DF = 1,206 ; TLI = 0.984 and CFI = 0.987. The results of this study also show that (1) Brand Awareness (X1) has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decisions (Y) with a critical ratio value (C.R.) of 2,021 greater than 1.96 with a probability value of 0.043 which is smaller than 0, 05 ; (2) Product Quality (X2) has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decisions (Y) with a critical ratio value (C.R.) of 2,417 which is greater than 1.96 with a probability value of 0.016 which is less than 0.05; (3) Word of Mouth (X3) has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Decision (Y) with a critical ratio value (C.R.) of 5.426 which is greater than 1.96 with a probability value of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. So it can be concluded in the results of this study indicate that there is a positive impact of the variable Brand Awareness on Purchase Decisions, Product Quality on Purchase Decisions and Word of Mouth on Purchase Decisions. Abstract

Durian (Durio zibethinus) is a Southeast Asian plant with a high nutritional content, delicious taste, and many good benefits. Durian has a high economic value with a wide and varied market range (traditional to modern markets). This shows that durian is a commodity with a lot of potential for development. The increase in production is inseparable from various problems in the cultivation aspect, especially in the provision of quality durian seeds. Durian plants are generally propagated vegetatively. Vegetative propagation of durian can be done by grafting. In durian grafting, various varieties are used as scion. These varieties have been known to have their respective advantages and markets. This research aims to determine the effect of three varieties of scion and grafting techniques on the success of durian grafting. The research used a factorial randomized block design (RBD) consisting of two factors, which are the scion varieties and grafting techniques. There are three varieties of scions, which are umpang duk (V1), monthong (V2) and bintan (V3). Meanwhile, the grafting technique consists of top grafting (T1) and side grafting (T2).

Abstract

Chili is included in horticultural commodities cultivated by Indonesian farmers. Red chilies are annual shrubs classified as vegetables the community needs as kitchen necessities. Expired seeds are seeds that have experienced a decline in growth and yield. Growth hormones can be used to increase the existing hormone levels and seed germination. Gibberellins are plant growth regulators that accelerate seed germination. Gibberellin is an essential organic compound in seed germination because it controls the process. The research was conducted to determine the effect of Gibberellins concentration and soaking time on the viability and vigor of expired red chili seeds. This research used a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor is the soaking time (P), which consists of 3 levels: 4 hours soaking (P1), 8 hours soaking (P2), and 12 hours soaking (P3). The second factor was the concentration of gibberellins (K), which consisted of 4 levels, which are 0 ppm (K0), 100 ppm (K1), 200 ppm (K2) and 300 ppm (K3).

Abstract

Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) is a plant whose leaves are consumed. The consumers of lettuce plants ranged from the lower to the upper-class societies. Fertilization is one of the technologies that need special care to increase the quality and quantity of the plant’s yields. Cow urine is one of the growth regulators that can be used. Not only it is easier to obtain, but also simpler the apply. Bagasse is a waste material that is usually thrown into an open place without further process, which can cause environmental disturbance and bad smell. This research aims to determine the effect of bagasse compost dosage and concentration of cow urine liquid on the growth and yield of lettuce plants. This research used a factorial randomized block design (RCBD) consisting of two factors. First, bassage compost (T) consisting of 0 g/polybag, 100 g/polybag, and 200 g/polybag, and second, cow urine liquid organic fertilizer (C) which also with three levels consisting of 0 ml/liter, 300 ml/liter, and 400 ml/liter of water. The results shows that 100 grams/polybag of bagasse compost and 300 ml/liter of cow urine liquid organic fertilizer each improve lettuce growth. Combined, they significantly enhance plant height, fresh weight, and dry weight.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat dengan kegiatan pelatihan kepenulisan ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan pentingnya wawasan kepenulisan dalam publikasi kegiatan guna membangun citra atau branding suatu organisasi. Branding menjadi satu hal krusial berkenaan dengan citra serta identitas dari organisasi. Citra dari organisasi akan bermuara pada stigma masyarakat luas terhadap organisasi tersebut. Oleh karena itu, citra dari suatu organisasi harus dijaga guna membangun stigma positif dan kepercayaan masyarakat yang kuat terhadap organisasi tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di MAN 1 Lamongan, Kelurahan Jetis, Kecamatan Lamongan, Kabupaten Lamongan. Metode dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) yang diramu dengan observasi, wawancara, dan penyampaian materi. Hasil dari pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan karya tulis dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai ranah kepenulisan, baik jenis-jenis karya maupun pemilihan kata yang tepat untuk membangun narasi. Dalam konteks ini, penulisan karya tulis diarahkan pada media-media online. Peserta juga mendapat pemahaman baru mengenai pentingnya publikasi kegiatan guna membangun citra positif organisasi kepada khalayak ramai.

Abstract

Computational thinking skills are one of the skills required in the 21st century. Computational thinking can teach students to think logically, critically, and use appropriate and efficient strategies in solving problems. However, computational thinking skills require an appropriate learning approach. Learning process must be designed to hone problem-solving skills and to acquire essential knowledge and concepts of the subject matter. This study aims to develop a computational approach media with thinking and problem-based learning and to improve students cognitive. This study uses a Comprehensive Life Cycle (SHM) methodology to develop the media. One-group pretest-postest was used for the research design. Media with computational thinking and problem-based learning approach have been developed and has obtained a score of 90% or "Very Good" by experts on media testing and get a percentage score of 92% or "Very Good" by experts on material testing. The use of media with Computational Thinking and problem-based learning approach can improve student cognitive with an increase in the average N-gain of students by 0.42 which is in the "Medium" category.  On the other hand, student responses to the learning media resulted in a score of 84%.
