Abstract

The goal of this research is to examine the relationship between organisational culture, compensation, and employee performance at Company X in Yogyakarta via the moderating effect of job satisfaction. In this quantitative study, questionnaires were sent online using Google Forms to collect data. Using a stratified random sample technique, we selected 94 employees from a population of 313. The t-test, the F-test, simple and multiple linear regression analysis, and path analysis all play roles in the study's analysis procedure. Employee performance is positively impacted by organisational culture and salary, which in turn positively impacts job happiness, which in turn positively impacts employee performance, as shown by this study. Studies reveal that the relationship between organisational culture and compensation and employee performance is complex, with job satisfaction variables acting as intermediaries. Organisations should dig deeper into the causes of pleasure because of the mediating function it appears to play.

Abstract

The goal of this research was to examine the relationship between work motivation, organizational culture, and employee performance at PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan, and Ratu Boko (Prambanan Unit) by using job satisfaction as a moderator. Specifically, questionnaires were employed to obtain quantitative data for this investigation. A quota sampling technique was used to choose a sample of 38 organic workers to represent the entire population. T-test, F-test, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, and path analysis are all used to analyze the data collected. The findings revealed a good relationship between work motivation and Job Satisfaction and Employee Performance, as well as a positive relationship between Organizational Culture and Job Satisfaction but a negative relationship between Organizational Culture and Employee Performance. Job satisfaction has been proven to solely operate as a mediator between job motivation and worker productivity. The findings of this study raise intriguing questions for further investigation into the reasons why Organizational Culture in high-performing state-owned enterprises does not positively affect Employee Performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze performance management practices at Gun Collection, a family-owned SME operating in the apparel retail and distribution sector, facing operational challenges and opportunities for growth in local markets. Using a case study approach, this research explores key elements of the performance management system, including performance evaluation, employee development, rewards and compensation, and compliance with labor regulations. Theoretically, this study employs the framework developed by Aguinis (2019), identifying five key dimensions in the performance management process: Prerequisites, Performance Planning, Performance Execution, Performance Assessment, and Performance Review. This research adopts a qualitative case study method. The findings reveal that Gun Collection successfully implements a structured performance management system through regular evaluations, technical and interpersonal training programs, contribution-based rewards, and adherence to labor regulations. This holistic approach enhances individual productivity and team collaboration and strengthens a competitive and sustainable organizational culture. However, the study also highlights challenges such as limited resources and the need for adaptation in a dynamic business environment. The study contributes theoretically by expanding the understanding of performance management implementation in SMEs, particularly in developing countries. Practically, the findings guide SME practitioners to design relevant and effective performance management systems to support organizational growth and sustainability.
