Abstract

An antenna radiation pattern experiment has been carried out with the aim of determining the patch antenna radiation pattern on a logarithmic and linear scale, understanding the properties and principles of the antenna, and understanding the types of antenna radiation patterns. In the experiment, the angle, frequency, and radian intensity data were obtained, and the value of the linear intensity was calculated. With the principle of converting electrical signals into electromagnetic signals. a graph between angle and intensity is obtained. the graph between radian intensity and angle forms a circular pattern, in which the value of intensity and frequency at each point with a difference of 5 degrees has almost the same value. In conclusion, the antenna is a structure that can receive and release electromagnetic waves in the air. The patch antenna used has a unidirectional radiation pattern. Converts electromagnetic signals into electrical signals and vice versa, has a certain radiation pattern, and is easily disturbed by metallic materials.

Abstract

The Muhammadiyah group has implemented community service programs (PKM) in collaboration with the Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan (UMLA) Library. In order to comply with SNI 03-6197-2000 regarding energy conservation in lighting systems, the PKM activity aims to measure and create a contour map of the lighting intensity level (also known as illumination level) in the UMLA library space, increase target partners' knowledge regarding lighting intensity (also known as illumination level) in the work space and its relationship to eye fatigue, and implement technology in the form of an IoT integrated room lighting system. The target partners will be fully involved in all activities, including FGD (First Measurement of Lighting Levels in Library Spaces), counseling regarding lighting intensity (Illumination Level) in work spaces and its relationship to eye fatigue, and the design and implementation of sensor and IoT based room lighting systems. The method for implementing community service activities is a participatory approach. The Muhammadiyah Lamongan University Library Institute, the community service partner, was able to accurately assess the illumination in the interpretation library room by means of a number of completed community service projects. We may conclude that the UMLA library's light intensity, which is ≥ 300 lux, satisfies the SNI criterion.

Abstract

Lamongan Hydroponic Farm's vegetable farming has a lot of potential, however managing humidity and temperature is a problem. While farmers there have been successful in creating fruitful hydroponic gardens, they struggle to keep the ideal growing environment. Severe temperature and humidity swings have an impact on harvest quality and raise production costs. The community service team suggested using solar energy and ultrasonic mist maker technologies to solve this issue. It is anticipated that this technology will lower operating costs, produce the perfect atmosphere for plant growth, and automatically control the amount of water in the air. Lamongan hydroponic farming may therefore be more productive and long-lasting. Lamongan Hydroponic Farm's community service program is implemented through the following phases: socializing, training, technology application, mentorship, and program sustainability evaluation. Two key technologies were developed as a result of this process: smart agricultural knowledge and ultrasonic mist makers with IoT and solar panel systems attached. According to the evaluation results, the three pretest and posttest questionnaires received resulted in an average improvement in partner knowledge from 49% to 74%.

Abstract

Breast cancer is a leading cause of death among women. Early detection helps prevent the spread of cancer to other organs, thereby reducing serious risks. This characterization aims to determine the potential of the TF Mini Lidar sensor if used as an early detection tool for breast cancer. Basically, this characterization uses a data-based approach. The method used in this study is to position the TFmini and HC-SR04 sensors in a fixed and stable position, after which the reflective object is positioned at a predetermined distance according to the distance to be used when detecting breast cancer, which is at a distance of 51-100 cm. PLX daq version 2.11 was used to facilitate data collection. The characterization of this sensor is based on the standard deviation, relative standard deviation, error and accuracy. This study concludes that the TFmini lidar sensor has a high potential to be used in breast cancer detection devices as a contour detector. This is in accordance with the measurement accuracy value of the tfmini sensor of 99.87%. However, additional sensors, such as cameras, are needed to obtain better contours and visual images.

Abstract

Natural conditions are increasingly uncertain and difficult to predict due to changes in rainfall patterns and climate. Excessive rainfall can cause flooding which is detrimental to the agricultural sector. Flooding is a natural challenge that is often faced in the agricultural sector. This challenge is faced by most of the agricultural land in Lamongan Regency, including in Dlanggu Village. The impact of flooding on rice fields in certain locations which is increasingly widespread and intensive from year to year has caused considerable losses for farmers. The purpose of this activity is to map flood-affected agricultural land in a participatory manner with the help of the WebMap application. The method of implementing this activity includes the preparation stage, implementation stage, and monitoring and evaluation stage. The results of the activity showed that participants were very enthusiastic about this activity program, as evidenced by the positive response in the form of the presence of 96% of the training participants and active discussion activities during the socialization and training took place. After the training, the participants also expected a follow-up in the form of assistance from the service team to improve skills with WebMap applications in other fields. This activity is expected to be a solution that can be offered to provide an early warning system based on mapping so that the delivery of information about floods can be conveyed more quickly to the community, especially people who have agricultural livelihoods to be aware of flood disasters.
