Abstract

This research seeks to reveal the meaning of the short story "Kafanu Al - Ust??i" in the short story anthology Gur?bunwa Kit?bah by Haif?? B???r. The theory used to reveal meaning in research is Schleiermacher's romantic hermeneutics. The method used is a qualitative method with two typical Schleiermacher text interpretation models, namely Grammatical Interpretation and Psychological Interpretation. Grammatical interpretation aims to reveal the meanings of the short story "Kafanu Al - Ust??i" through word-to-word relationships (language analysis), while the meaning of grammatical interpretation will be completed through its relationship with the author based on Psychological Interpretation. Based on the analysis carried out on the short story "Kafanu Al - Ust??i" in the short story anthology Gur?bunwa Kit?bah by Haif?? B???r with Schleiermacher's romantic hermeneutic theory, several things were found: 1) women are human beings who must be considered equal to men, 2) the obstruction of women in achieving Her ideals are very likely caused by repression that comes from men, and 3) discrimination against women is something that cannot be justified.

Abstract

This article attempts to reveal the relations of power, resistance and opposition that exist in the short story "Kafanu Al - Ustazi" in the short story anthology Gurubun wa Kitabah by Haifa Bitar. The theory used in this paper is Michel Foucault's discourse theory which contains relations of power, resistance and opposition. Truth in Foucault's eyes is created because of power which is tied to knowledge. In every power, there is always resistance and opposition to that power. In the analysis, the method used is a qualitative method with a sociological approach which states that literary works are a reflection or abstraction of the real life of a society. Through this approach, we will connect the social reality in the short story "Kafanu Al - Ustazi" with the social reality in Syria at the time when Haifa Bitar wrote the short story. Based on the data analysis, three things were obtained as follows: 1) there is a relations of power in the short story "Kafanu Al - Ustazii" which takes the form of thoughts (knowledge), 2) there is resistance and opposition from the character Aku as the main female character in the short story "Kafanu Al - Ustazi", and 3) the pattern of male domination over women in the short story "Kafanu Al - Ustazi" is a social reality that also occurs in Syria as the background underlying the writing of the short story

Abstract

This article attempts to express feminist literary criticism of the writer Haifa Bitar in one of his works, in the short story anthology "Gurubun wa Kitabah" with the title "Kafanu Al - Ustazi" using the gynocritical study initiated by Elaine Showalter. Giniocriticism itself is a theory of feminist literary criticism which discusses women as writers (women play the role of writers or writers). Divides four models in this study, namely first, female writers and female biology. Second, female writers and female psychology. Third, women writers and women's psychology, and fourth, women writers and women's culture. Of the four models, in this article the researcher will focus on discussing women writers and women's psychology as well as women writers and women's culture. Meanwhile, the research method in this research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytic methods. The descriptive-analytic method is research that aims to describe, analyze and interpret data, in this case the data produced by female writers and female psychologists, differentiated based on Sigmund Freud's psychological structure in the form of: Id, Ego and Superego. Meanwhile, female writers and female culture are found in terms of values, institutions, relationships and communication methods. Based on these data, it shows that the author, Haifa Bitar, has the courage to reveal the injustice of women whose rights are oppressed, especially in the realm of education and he wants to fight the patriarchal culture which seems to be ingrained in himself and the word "woman" itself, especially in the 'Eastern' world.

Abstract

The theme raised in this paper focuses on the attitude needed by a Muslim towards the food, concept, and role of Islamic Philosophy, especially when facing challenges that come from outside (non-Muslims) and from within (Muslims). The attitude in question is very necessary to deal with negative sentiments about misguidance and disbelief in Islamic philosophy and negative sentiments that doubt Islamic philosophy as an original philosophy because of the influence of Greek philosophy in it. In order to develop this attitude, it is necessary to know first the meaning, concept, and role of Islamic philosophy to explain the situation and problems that gave birth to these two negative sentiments. After that, it will be shown how to behave to show that Islamic philosophy is not something forbidden and is not a copy of previous philosophies.

Abstract

Manusia adalah keberadaan yang tidak bisa lepas begitu saja dari aturan dan pedoman dalam hidup. Baik hal tersebut diperolehnya melalui wacana etika dengan basis pemikiran rasional maupun melalui wacana agama dengan basis keyakinan emosional. Setiap manusia tetap membutuhkan hal tersebut untuk menemukan jawaban dari kehidupannya: bagaimana seharusnya saya hidup? Pada penelitian ini, penulis hendak mengulas mengenai hubungan antara etika dan agama. Dengan asumsi bahwa keduanya memiliki tujuan dan alasan hadir yang mirip, maka tentu perlu diketahui mengenai hubungan antara keduanya, baik itu hubungan yang saling bertolak belakang, saling mengganti, ataupun hubungan yang saling melengkapi satu sama lain. Melalui pendekatan library research dengan metode kualitatif, ditemukan bahwa hubungan antara keduanya bersifat saling mengisi satu sama lain, bukan hubungan yang saling menggantikan atau menafikan. Dalam hal persamaan, keduanya sama-sama berbicara mengenai orientasi kehidupan manusia, sedangkan perbedaannya, terletak pada basis yang membangunnya. Bila etika dibangun atas premis-premis rasional, maka agama dibangun atas dogma-dogma emosional
