Abstract

Abstract

The implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in education requires a holistic approach that involves visionary leadership and a collaborative organizational culture. Total Quality Management (TQM) has been adopted in the education sector to improve learning quality, administrative efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction (students, parents, and the community). However, its implementation is often hampered by bureaucratic resistance, lack of teacher training, and hierarchical organizational culture. This article analyzes how transformational leadership and learning-based culture play a role in improving the quality of education through TQM. The research uses a qualitative approach with a comparative case study design to analyze the role of leadership and organizational culture in the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in educational institutions. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with participants (principals, teachers, students, staff), participatory observation of TQM activities (such as coordination meetings and quality workshops), and analysis of policy documents and quality reports. The selection of participants is carried out purposively with the criteria of a minimum of two years of involvement in the TQM program. The data were analyzed thematically using NVivo 12 software through the stages of transcription, coding, and source triangulation to validate the findings, this study reveals that the success of TQM is determined by the leader's ability to empower stakeholders as well as the culture that supports pedagogical innovation. These findings provide practical recommendations for educational institutions to optimize TQM through the integration of participatory leadership and performance-based reward systems.

Abstract

Anxiety disorders are psychological conditions characterized by excessive and pathological anxiety or worry, and they remain a significant mental health concern in both developed and developing countries. Managing these disorders requires effective therapeutic interventions, both psychological and pharmacological. This article reviews various therapeutic approaches used in the treatment of anxiety disorders, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), supportive therapies, and pharmacological treatments. The review focuses on the effectiveness, mechanisms of action, and factors influencing the success of each therapy. Findings indicate that CBT consistently demonstrates high effectiveness in reducing symptoms across different types of anxiety disorders. Appropriate and comprehensive therapy selection based on individual conditions is essential to improve clinical outcomes and patient prognosis.

Abstract

Anemia is a global health problem affecting approximately one-quarter of the world's population and remains a major concern in Indonesia, particularly among adolescents and young adults. University students, as part of the young adult group, are at risk of developing anemia due to several factors, especially unhealthy dietary patterns, unbalanced diets, and insufficient intake of macro- and micronutrients essential for hemoglobin synthesis. This study aims to examine the relationship between dietary patterns and the incidence of anemia among university students, particularly medical students. This research employed a literature review method using purposive sampling from PubMed, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect databases, with the keywords “dietary patterns” and “anemia.” A total of 24 relevant articles in both Indonesian and English were analyzed descriptively. The findings indicate a significant relationship between dietary patterns and anemia. Low consumption of iron, vitamin B12, and folate, along with habits such as skipping breakfast, are associated with a higher risk of decreased hemoglobin levels. Several studies demonstrated a significant correlation between dietary quality and anemia, although some reported inconsistent results.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the role of extracurricular organizations in growing the social behavior of students at MTs AR RAHMAN KAJU, Sibulue District, Bone Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of extracurricular organizations in MTs AR RAHMAN KAJU, to find out how to grow the social behavior of students at MTs AR RAHMAN KAJU, to find out the barriers and support for students in social behavior? The research method used is field research through a management science approach, a pedagogic approach, and a sociological approach using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis with 3 stages, namely the data reduction stage (data reduction), data presentation (data display) and the conclusion stage (verification). The results of the study indicate that extracurricular activities at MTs AR RAHMAN KAJU still need to be improved and maximized, such as involvement in extracurricular groups and working on assignments given by extracurricular coaches and assignments given by educators in the classroom. Where students have different characters, there are students who are easy to manage, there are also students who are difficult to manage, as some students like to be given assignments and complete without being asked, but some students don't like being given assignments and are always looking for reasons not to do it. And students who violate the rules in extracurricular activities are given educational sanctions, where character building through extracurricular activities still requires students to need help and direction from extracurricular coaches or educators. It can be understood that the role of extracurricular organizations at MTs AR RAHMAN KAJU is good but still needs to be improved or still needs to be fostered to get maximum results. students are always guided to get used to social behavior but the rules that have been set at school students still often violate them both in terms of clothing and cleanliness as for obstacles for parents in shaping children's social behavior, children are difficult to regulate and the influence of friends hang out with children too many activities in the school. outside with friends compared to study time such as playing more games and smoking cigarettes and the support given by parents to children's social behavior, namely always providing monitoring or supervision in the uss of social media.
