Abstract

The college scheduling activity is a routine activity every semester that is very complicated and draining the mind. In the current system, the information system study program of Indonesian computer universities has used a lecture scheduling information system application for the college scheduling process. However, the application has a disadvantage, namely the scheduling process is still done by manually selecting space, days and hours, and has not implemented the optimization algorithm for the scheduling process, so the scheduling process still requires a long time and is not optimal. Given the importance of this scheduling process, it is necessary to do the optimization steps for scheduling lectures appropriately so that the process of scheduling lectures is faster and schedule conflicts can be minimized so that teaching and learning activities can run well. For this research, we intend to apply genetic algorithms to the scheduling process with the aim of optimizing the lecture scheduling process in the information systems study program. In this research method, the stages of the research will be described as the system development method, research location, and data collection techniques.      The results of this study are that there are no more conflicting schedules after 10 trials were marked with fitness with a value of 0. The conclusion of this research is that by applying genetic algorithms to the college scheduling application, the process of scheduling lectures can be done automatically until there is no schedule conflict and out of 10 experiments, the average time for lecturing schedule was 58.454 seconds (less than 1 minute) and the average was achieved in generation 1,2,3. Keywords: genetic algorithms, lecture scheduling, chromosomes

Abstract

This Community Service aims to digitize women's Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sekoper Cinta (Sekolah Perempuan Capai Impian dan Cita-Cita) West Java. Sekoper Cinta is a non-formal school that exists to carry out special empowerment for women, one of which is through a vocational training program in e-commerce. However, only a small proportion of them can obtain it, while the participants in the Sekoper Cinta program in West Java totaled 34,900 women. Therefore, through this Community Service program, we aim to empower women. The stages of Community Service are preparation, initial evaluation, vocational training in e-commerce, mentoring, and final evaluation. The result achieved from this Community Service is an increase in the skills of participants in selling in online stores and on social media.

Abstract

Abstract

Women International University is one of the developing universities and continues to improve services to stakeholders. One form of service that needs to be improved is the new student admission information service (PMB), especially dissemination of the entrance results (USM). In the current system the results of USM are informed through sending SMS (Short Message Services). After completing USM, the PMB committee must prepare a message format and send SMS one by one to USM participants. This way certainly requires a long time. To overcome these problems, the solution offered is to build an SMS autoresponder application with aim to mkake the information service on USM results automated. Method used is object-oriented method and prototype system development method to build SMS autoresponder application. Based on the results of tests conducted 10 times, the SMS autoresponder application can answer and send incoming filter test information, which is in the time span between 16-35 seconds with an average time of 22.22 seconds and the fastest time of 16.68 seconds.

Abstract

Children with Down Syndrome face various physical challenges, such as muscle weakness, vulnerability to illnesses, and lower IQ levels compared to typical children. These conditions require special attention from parents, who must learn how to handle and care for children with Down Syndrome from an early stage. However, many parents struggle to access adequate information and knowledge about caring for their children. This community service program aims to implement a Knowledge Management System (KMS) as a solution for handling children with Down Syndrome within the Association of Parents of Children with Down Syndrome (POTADS) in West Java. The program involves training and mentoring for POTADS administrators. Based on the evaluation results, the administrators of POTADS West Java have successfully utilized the KMS.

Abstract

The massive tsunami of December 26, 2004 has had a huge impact on the life of the coastal region. The effects of the tsunami caused damage to occupation settlements, loss of waterside land and destruction of marine biota ecosystems. The coastal region of Aceh Province in Indonesia is the area that has the worst impact followed by the State of Malaysia, Thailand and as a coastal area of India. As a result of a large amount of coastal land experiencing a loss of land mass, erosion is very significant. As a step towards handling coastal areas from greater erosion prevention, the Government of Indonesia in 2005 adopted a policy of handling rehabilitation and reconstruction through the ANTERP (Aceh Nias Tsunami and Earthquake Response Program) program under the BRR (Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Agency) in collaboration with Ministry of Public Work. One of the steps to handling erosion is to protect the coast using the hard structure method such as the construction of a revetment and jetty made from rock armor. This study aims to assess the level of damage and priority of handling of coastal protective structures that have been built in 2009, 2016 and how changes in shoreline occur on the beach location of Alue Naga - Neuheun, which is a coastal area that was greatly affected by the tsunami. Assessments were carried out in three different coastal structures, namely CS-1 locations in the Alue Naga area, CS-2, Lambada Lhok coastal area and CS-3 Neuheun beach area. Guidelines for assessing structure damage and changes in shoreline in the study using the Ministry of Public Work Regulation No. 08/SE/M/2010. The rate of change in shoreline is obtained through computational calculations of the DSAS (Digital Shoreline Analysis System) program using the EPR (End Point Rate) method and NSM for change distance (Net Shoreline Movement).
