Abstract

This research aims to determine the needs of the Cibeureum village community, Ciasmara Village in order to improve community education so that the community can be more independent in managing the natural resources available in the surrounding environment. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach through data collection derived from SWOT analysis, interviews and observations. The research results show that people basically have the desire and hope that their children can receive the best possible education in order to achieve a better life, but this is hampered by the long distance between school and where they live. So after conducting research, the need for the community to be able to improve their education towards independence in managing natural resources is to provide transportation in the form of school pick-up and drop-off services to facilitate access to education.

Abstract

Essentially, marketing is the process of moving products from manufacturers to customers. This study's goal is 1) to find out the marketing channels used for chayote, 2) to calculate marketing margins, 3) to determine marketing efficiency. This study's methodologies are descriptive and quantitative analysis. Purposively, Gadingrejo Village, Umbulsari District, Jember Regency was selected as the research location. 32 farmers and 12 marketing institutions make up the sample, which is selected using simple random sampling and total sampling. The study's findings indicate that: 1.) In Gadingrejo Village, chayote is marketed through two different channels, including the channel pattern to one Farmer – Wholesaler – Retailer – Consumer, the second channel pattern is Farmer – Collector Trader – Wholesaler – Retailer – Consumer, 2) The marketing margin in each marketing channel pattern has differences, namely a marketing margin of Rp 4,5000/kg is found in the first marketing channel pattern, and Rp 6,000/kg is found in the second, 3) The level II marketing channel pattern, with a farmer share value of 59.09%, has the highest marketing efficiency of any more efficient marketing channel pattern; in contrast, the level III marketing channel pattern, with a farmer share value of 45.45%, has the lowest marketing efficiency of any marketing channel pattern.

Abstract

Pendidikan multikultural sangat penting dalam membentuk generasi yang toleran dan mampu hidup harmonis di tengali keragaman budaya, agama, dan etnis di Indonesia, khususnya sejak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana strategi pembelajaran kontekstual (Contextual Teaching and Learning/CTL), jika diintegrasikan dengan sumber dan media pembelajaran multikultural, dapat menumbuhkan sikap toleransi pada siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian literatur dengan menganalisis berbagai strategi pembelajaran berbasis CTL, seperti pemanfaatan cerita lokal, pembelajaran proyek berbasis nilai toleransi, dan diskusi reflektif menggunakan media audiovisual. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman, empati, kerja sama, dan sikap inklusif siswa. Namun demikian, penelitian ini juga menemukan beberapa kendala dalam implementasinya, seperti keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dan rendahnya kesiapan guru. Tantangan tersebut berpotensi menghambat penyampaian nilai-nilai toleransi secara optimal di dalam kelas. Untuk itu, pelatihan guru yang terarah dan kebijakan sekolah yang mendukung menjadi faktor kunci keberhasilan. Secara keseluruhan, strategi CTL berbasis sumber dan media multikultural memiliki potensi yang besar dalam memperkuat toleransi dan pengembangan karakter inklusif dalam pendidikan dasar apabila diterapkan dengan tepat.

Abstract

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a progressive condition that affects the quality of life of millions of people worldwide. While diet is essential in slowing disease progression and preventing complications, its implementation as self-care often faces barriers especially when patient preferences and context are overlooked. Most existing studies focus on clinical outcomes, with limited attention to how dietary practices are applied within a patient-centered approach that considers cultural, social, and psychological factors. This scoping review aims to map the existing evidence on how diet is implemented as a form of self-care in patients with CKD, within the framework of patient-centered care. This article uses three databases PubMed, EBSCO, and science direct with the keywords “diet,” “self care,” “self management,” and “chronic kidney disease” combined using Boolean AND and OR operators. Articles is in full text, in English, open access, published between 2015 and 2025, with quantitative, qualitative, descriptive, secondary analysis, quasi-experimental, or mixed methods research designs. From the 1,935 articles found, gradual screening was carried out until 7 relevant articles were obtained and further analyzed according to the PRISMA-Scr guidelines. Seven relevant articles showed that adherence to CKD diet was influenced by health literacy, self-efficacy, social support, and economic and cultural barriers. Experience-based interventions, goal setting, self-monitoring, and digital technologies such as health apps showed effectiveness in improving dietary adherence and patient quality of life. Collaborative approaches and family support were also shown to be important in strengthening the success of dietary interventions. Diet as part of self-care in CKD patients not only has clinical benefits, but also contributes to improving psychosocial well-being. A holistic approach that considers social, cultural, and emotional aspects is needed for dietary interventions to be more effective and sustainable in patient-centered practice.
