Abstract

Pembinaan karakter mahasiswa melalui Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di era digital menjadi semakin penting di tengah perkembangan teknologi yang pesat. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pentingnya pengembangan karakter mahasiswa dan integrasi pendidikan agama Islam dalam pembinaan karakter tersebut. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah kebutuhan untuk mengatasi tantangan moral dan etika yang muncul akibat penggunaan teknologi digital yang semakin meluas di kalangan mahasiswa. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana PAI dapat berperan efektif dalam membina karakter mahasiswa yang berintegritas dan bermoral. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan dosen PAI, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen terkait kurikulum dan bahan ajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi digital dalam PAI dapat meningkatkan aksesibilitas dan keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran, serta membantu dalam pembentukan karakter yang lebih kuat dan beretika. Temuan ini juga mengungkap pentingnya peran dosen dalam mengarahkan penggunaan teknologi secara bijak dan sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Kesimpulannya, PAI memiliki potensi besar untuk membina karakter mahasiswa di era digital jika diterapkan dengan pendekatan yang tepat dan inovatif. Penggunaan teknologi digital dalam PAI tidak hanya memfasilitasi pembelajaran tetapi juga memperkuat nilai-nilai moral dan etika yang esensial bagi perkembangan pribadi dan sosial mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of implementing the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model on improving students’ moral character in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) lessons in Aceh. The research was conducted in several public and private junior high schools in Aceh Barat, Aceh Selatan, Banda Aceh, Aceh Besar, Pidie, and Bireuen. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of CTL in enhancing students’ understanding and application of moral values. The research employed a field study approach with a qualitative methodology. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with PAI teachers and students, and an analysis of school documents. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model has a significantly positive impact on improving students’ moral character, particularly in aspects of honesty, responsibility, and social care, while also helping students connect Islamic Religious Education (PAI) material with real-life situations. This provides practical contributions to the development of contextual-based learning in Islamic character education. The study concludes that the CTL model improves students’ moral character in PAI lessons. It is recommended that schools in Aceh consider adopting this model more broadly to achieve holistic educational goals

Abstract

Foster Village is a community development program that aims to improve the quality of life in rural areas. This program focuses on various aspects of community development, such as education, the economy, and community empowerment. This program was implemented by STAIN Teungku Dirundeng Meulaboh in Gampong Pasi Mesjid, Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency from October 28 to November 28, 2022. Activities in this study used the Participatory Action Research (PAR) mentoring method, from the research results it was concluded that the Assisted Village program by The campus aims to develop the village so that it becomes an independent village and improves the welfare of the village community. This program also provides learning opportunities and contributions for program participants and involves campuses, lecturers, and students in village development efforts.
