Abstract

Based on the latest data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2023, around 60.12% of the Indonesian workforce works in the informal sector, indicating the dominance of this sector in the national economy. However, in urban areas, informal sector economic activities, especially street vendors (PKL), often face various challenges that require structured solutions. One of the main problems street vendors face in Bantul Regency is limited business capital, which causes them to be trapped in loan shark loans that are not per Sharia principles. This study aims to analyze the role of the Indonesian Street Vendors Association of Struggle (APKLI-P) in empowering street vendors in Bantul Regency from a sharia economic perspective. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method at the DPD APKLI-P Bantul Regency. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with 20 street vendor members, and documentation of empowerment programs carried out by APKLI-P. The data obtained were analyzed using source triangulation to ensure the validity of the research results. The findings show that APKLI-P has implemented various empowerment programs, such as developing culinary areas, providing business opportunities through local events, managing multi-purpose cooperatives, and providing halal certification. The impact of this program is measured through increased income, access to new business opportunities, and significant improvements in the welfare of street vendors. This study also highlights how the application of Islamic economic principles by APKLI-P has succeeded in strengthening social solidarity and creating equality and justice in society. However, this study has limitations in terms of generalizing the findings to other regions, and further research is recommended to test the effectiveness of this empowerment model in different regional contexts.

The slow spread of Covid-19 was a big problem for the school system. This made a lot of experts want to look into cases from the time. But it’s unlikely that many studies have been done on how teaching and learning go in a classroom where phones are used. A classroom where phones are used as the main learning tool is called a phone-infused classroom. The goal of this study is to find out how people think about and use phones in the classroom. Three English teachers and 66 children at the Islamic Elementary School in Mojokerto were asked to fill out questionnaires and talk with a focus group. The researcher looked at the transcript and gave a qualitative descriptive study of the results. As a result of the research, three themes came to light: the effects on teaching practices, teachers’ and students' strengths and challenges, and teachers' and students' evaluations of worth. Overall, the use of phones in teaching and learning during the pandemic era has had both good and negative effects. Lastly, education during an outbreak must be seen as a community effort by the government, teachers, parents, and schools to improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning methods that use cell phones that have been hurt by the outbreak and make sure that students don't fall behind.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the digital economy provides vast opportunities for entrepreneurship but often overlooks ethical and communal dimensions rooted in local traditions. In Muslim communities, economic activities are guided by principles such as fairness (ʿadl), mutual assistance (taʿāwun), and trustworthiness (amānah), which can serve as a moral foundation for digital transformation. This study examines how Islamic economic values can be embedded into the global digital marketplace as a model of compassionate digitalization. Using a qualitative ethnographic approach, data were collected through interviews and observations of Muslim entrepreneurs engaged in e-commerce while practicing local ethical values. Thematic analysis identified patterns of adaptation that integrate Islamic ethics into digital business models. Findings reveal that aligning digital platforms with Islamic principles fosters inclusive prosperity, trust, and tolerance. The study concludes that embedding Islamic ethics into digital business promotes a human-centered, sustainable marketplace by balancing innovation with moral and social responsibility
