Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has revolutionized educational methodologies, particularly in early childhood education. This study focuses on the development of interactive learning media for kindergarten students, aimed at facilitating the understanding of letters and numbers. Employing the ADDIE model, this developmental research was conducted at Cahaya Wonoasri Kindergarten, Madiun. Data collection involved observation, interviews, and questionnaires, targeting content validity, learning design, and media efficacy. The study culminated in the creation of an Android-based application, designed to be engaging for young learners. The application's effectiveness was validated through expert assessments and individual trials, demonstrating its potential in improving letter and number recognition among kindergarten students. The content, learning design, and media experts rated the application as 'good' to 'very good' in their respective areas of expertise. The findings suggest that the developed educational tool is not only viable but also beneficial in enhancing the learning experience for kindergarten children. The application's engaging design and interactive content align with modern teaching methodologies, potentially setting a new standard in early childhood education technology. This study highlights the significance of integrating technology in early education, especially in the digital era. The success of the developed Android-based application suggests a promising future for digital learning tools in kindergarten, potentially revolutionizing the way young children are introduced to fundamental concepts like letters and numbers.

Abstract

Beginning reading must be mastered by students. This is because reading ability will influence the learning process and achievement. This research aims to determine the reading difficulties experienced by students using the phonics method. The method used is a case study. In this research, there are five stages, namely determining the problem, designing and research instruments, collection, analysis, and presentation of data. The research subjects were 9 grade 1 students and the class teacher.  The results of the reading ability test show that there are four reading abilities in class 1. As for the first stage, one student is in the red stage or reading closed syllables. Two students are in the blue stage or reading closed syllables. Three students are in the green stage, reading syllables with double vowels and consonants. Four students were able to read sentences.

Abstract

Early reading is a skill that students should have. This skill becomes a provision for the next stage of skills .Learning to recognize letters, especially early reading in Golan Kindergarten during the pandemic, experienced problems. Students feel less interested when the learning process is carried out conventionally. In addition, parents also have difficulties when it comes to delivering material to children. Through the use of android-based learning media, the learning process is expected to attract students. The method developed the Borg & Gall model, which consisted of ten stages. The data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Observation is used to find out the learning conditions in schools. Interviews, conducted with teachers to find out the use value of the media created. Meanwhile, the questionnaire is used as a reference to find out the level of needs in schools. The resulting learning media is tested through media expert validation tests and practicality tests. Validation of media experts to assess whether media is suitable for use as an alternative to learning media in schools. Practicality test, used to assess the level of practicality of the resulting medium. The results of media expert validation obtained a percentage of 81.5, stating that the media was valid. The practicality test was 8,262, and the mean score of students was 77. The two results presented that the android-based learning media for early reading was feasible

Abstract

Guru di MTsN 11 Ngawi mengalami kendala dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi untuk proses pembelajaran. Kendala tersebut diantaranya waktu, dimana guru memiliki kesibukan yang cukup padat. Upaya mengatasi kendala yang ada dengan mengadakan workshop di sekolah sehingga dapat diikuti semua guru. Kegiatan workshop pembuatan media pembelajaran bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru untuk memanfaatkan teknologi dalam bentuk media pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian terdiri dati tiga tahap, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan pengabdian berupa workshop diikuti oleh 21 guru. Guru sebagai peserta menunjukkan antusias yang cukup besar selama proses kegiatan berlangsung. Antusias terlihat ketika guru berusaha menerapkan pembuatan media pembelajaran power point pada mata pelajaran yang diampu. Pada akhir pelaksanaan kegiatan, semua peserta mengisi lembar kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner, kegiatan pengabdian berjalan sesuai dengan tujuan dan guru dapat menerapkan hasilnya pada pelajaran yang diampu.

Abstract

The habit and interest in reading are activities that must be developed early in students. This is because reading will affect other students' skills. Libraries play an important role in providing reading facilities. The library at SDN Sidorejo 01 has not been managed well due to limited space and unorganized administration. Mentoring activities aim to improve the library's function as a place to explore knowledge, raise awareness of the importance of literacy skills, solve library administration problems, and provide library administration training. The method used in mentoring activities is APTE, which consists of needs analysis, training, action, and evaluation. Teachers and students participated in the activities enthusiastically and there was good cooperation between the service team and the school. Mentoring activities can increase interest in reading foster reading habits, and optimize library space. Apart from that, it can improve the reading skills of students who are still experiencing problems.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan salah satu bentuk pelaksanaan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang bertujuan memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap masyarakat. Kegiatan ini dilakukan untuk membantu UMKM UD Sumber Jati, sebuah usaha mebel yang berlokasi di Desa Kuwiran, Kecamatan Kare, Kabupaten Madiun, dalam mengatasi permasalahan pengelolaan limbah kayu. Limbah kayu yang dihasilkan dari proses produksi selama ini dibakar, menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan dan pemborosan sumber daya. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dirancang untuk memberikan solusi yang ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan melalui inovasi pengolahan limbah kayu menjadi produk bernilai ekonomis tinggi. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahap sosialisasi, pengajaran, dan aplikasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan karyawan dalam mengolah limbah kayu serta kesadaran akan pentingnya branding digital sebagai strategi pemasaran. Dengan pelaksanaan program ini, diharapkan UMKM dapat mengoptimalkan potensi ekonomi limbah kayu, meningkatkan daya saing, dan memberikan dampak positif terhadap lingkungan dan masyarakat sekitar.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh tim Prodi S1 Manajemen FEB Universitas PGRI Madiun di UMKM My Keranjang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas usaha melalui optimalisasi bisnis, strategi digital, pengelolaan keuangan, serta inovasi produk. Pendampingan ini mengatasi tantangan utama yang dihadapi oleh UMKM, seperti pengelolaan transaksi dan pemasaran yang kurang optimal, serta ketidakmampuan dalam menyusun laporan keuangan yang tepat. Melalui tahap sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan aplikasi, pemilik dan karyawan UMKM diberikan keterampilan dalam mengelola media sosial, memanfaatkan teknologi untuk pemasaran digital, serta menggunakan QR Code untuk pencatatan transaksi dan laporan keuangan. Selain itu, inovasi produk melalui desain yang lebih menarik dan fungsionalitas produk menjadi salah satu fokus utama dalam meningkatkan daya saing di pasar. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendukung keberlanjutan usaha UMKM My Keranjang dan berkontribusi pada pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital yang relevan.

Abstract

Guru di SDN Selorejo 02 mengalami kendala dalam memanfatkan fasilitas berbasis teknologi di sekolah. Belum semua guru memanfaatkan aplikasi digitas sebagai media pembelajaran. Hal tersebut dikarenakan keterbatasan pelatihan yang diikuti dan usia. Upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan dengan dilakukan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Pelatihan dilakukan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan fasilitas teknologi melalui media pembelajaran. Adapun tahapan kegiatan pelatihan meliputi persiapan, sosialisasi dan pengenalan, pelatihan, serta evaluasi. Kegiatan pelatihan diikuti oleh 11 guru. Semua peserta menunjukkan antusias yang cukup baik dan aktif dalam kegiatan pelatihan. Peserta mampu menghasilkan media pembelajaran dengan emmanfaatkan wordwall yang sesuai bidang ilmu yang diampu. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, rata-rata media yang dihasilkan dengan kriteria sangat baik.

Abstract

The ability that must be developed for elementary school students is numeracy literacy. The purpose of numeracy literacy skills is that students can develop other skills in solving various problems. In fact, the numeracy skills regarding fractions and literacy in students' storytelling abilities still do not meet the minimum completeness score. So we need learning media by utilizing the natural potential around the school so that it is easy to obtain. The media used is a collage of grains and puppets from used cardboard. The study used a class action method with grade 2 students as subjects. Data collection techniques were through observation, interviews, documentation, field notes, and tests. Data is processed through reduction, description, and verification. Meanwhile, the validation used data triangulation. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability to understand fractions in each cycle. Cycle I average value of 70 and completeness of 67%. While cycle II the average value was 78 with 89% completeness. In the ability to speak cycle I, the average value was 74 with 67% completeness. While cycle II the average value is 79 with 89% completeness
